Spoiler:
But is it a nice joke to have a video showing what seems to be an adult having sex with seemingly, a minor, if it's just made of pixels on a computer?? Or someone pushing a fat person off of a building, just because that person's fat, if they're figures made of clay??

Some people may not feel offended at all by someone touching a wax figurine, and of course I can respect those people, but it feels offensive to me. It's like when people make jokes saying "all blonde girls are out for sleeping with lots of men, and being blonde means you're automatically stupid". Yeah, make those jokes if you want to, but I definitely won't like them.
And no, I'm not blonde. But I could have been, and I believe my intelligence could still be at the same level.
EDIT; And your comment? Tell that to the religious extremists bombing a building because someone made a drawing of the Prophet Muhammed. There's many people who get extremely offended by things like this.

I see no problem on people sexual harassing wax! It's just ****ing wax! It has no life, no feelings, it doesn't think! It's different from photographing someone molesting a child, cuz that child exist and it was molested during the photographs. And did u just meant people deserve to die on building bombings cuz they drawed Prophet Muhammed?!

I know it's just wax but I think what she meant was what that wax and act was representing. In this case, that wax is representing Ayu, and probably it's seen as the guy disrespecting Ayu, the closest he could get anyway.

I don't want to get religious/political so I'll stop there. I'm not offended since to me it is just a wax figure after all, but I can see where she's coming from.

^There is a J-Lo wax statue that get's blushed when u grabs her butt... as far as I know, this is the only of it's race that feels disturbed for being touched xD

2Hurt 27th July 2010 02:59 PM

Seriously people... just because it's Ayu people all go like ''Waah he disrepects her'' like if it was anyone else, people would be laughing about it... I don't get it really, it's WAX, can't we just quit the drama... I'm not saying you have to find this funny, but don't go around and make a drama out of this... :no

lol I didn't know this about the Jlo wax figure..

Maemi 27th July 2010 03:11 PM

No, when did I ever say that? I said; a lot of people get extremely offended by comments like yours.. I never said people deserves to die because of such things, disrespecting religious laws is not something you should go into the electric chair for. Please don't twist my words; read my post properly if you want to hold arguments against me.
I don't see any problem with your views; I don't think any less of you just because you think touching a wax statue is fine, but I just don't agree with your views. Disagreement is completely different from disrespect, in case you thought I was implying I don't respect your opinions. I was merely stating mine, something you also did. Difference in opinions is a human concept that comes with our concepts of morality; everyone's morality is individual, but in law we have to compromise on what should be allowed or not according to the most acceptable and generally shared moralities.
And I'll let you know; in some countries it's fine with drawn art showing minors in sexual intercourse with adults, but in some countries it is illegal with art showing what is clearly or quite clearly a minor in some kind of sexual situation, partial or complete nudity. It would for example be illegal in Canada.
Anyhow, I'm not trying to stir up arguing or drama; just stating my opinions. This is a forum after all, and forums are made for discussion, not just comments saying how much they think it's funny or how much they love it; we're meant to share our opinions and logical information.

And another note; possessing child pornography, distributing, selling, buying, making or watching it is illegal. Yes. And yes, the children in those videos are real and living.
But think about this;
Spoiler:
is it okay for someone to own child pornography and watch it, and not ever touch a child or think about one in the wrong way in their whole life? Or is it still wrong to enjoy watching child pornography? If you watch normal adult pornography, showing men having sex with prostitutes, does it mean you want to have sex with prostitutes or be a prostitute?
The question does not have one, or even two answers. Watching/visualizing/fantasizing, and doing are very different, but very connected both at the same time.
My moral is that while I can accept people who think about doing things I deem immoral, I can't accept them if they do those things (like participate in sex with children). I won't like them thinking about doing those things, or implying that they would enjoy such things, but I definitely can respect them if they still are good people in their actions and words.

Again, I'm not trying to make drama. I stated my opinions clearly, and without insults or foul language, and I do believe I did keep any implications of personal attacks or disrespect out of my text, but I guess that would be a matter of personal opinion.
If you're allowed to say you love a joke and find it funny, I'm allowed to say it offended me a bit and didn't think it was funny at all, aren't I?
And I hope this should end the discussion. I'm sorry if I somehow offended anyone, or if you think I was trying to offend anyone, but I was stating my opinions just as you were, in a civil way. That's all.
EDIT; And no, I don't entirely think that this guy disrespected her. He clearly didn't even now who she was, and I don't think he'd do something like this to her if they would ever meet (at least I want to think so), but touching a woman's breast, wax, clay, ice, metal or whatever figure or not, feels a bit offensive when you don't make it clear that you don't mean it. And his description "[...]I grope everything in sight! unnerved me a bit, too. But I guess I'm just being sensitive, not all that unusual for me. I hope it won't make anyone think any less of me, though, I genuinely respect people here and all your opinions but even so, I wanted to share my views. I'm sorry for any discomfort it may have caused you.

Okay. Some people find it offensive, others don't. Great.

People can say they find it offensive. There's no need for fifty people to then say, "it's just wax. LOL." Let's let people think what they want. If you don't think it's offensive, say THAT. Don't start mocking the people that do.

I don't find it offensive. I think it's crass. I don't care if it's Ayu or not, it's still crass.

What's so funny? Ayu's trance remixes are well known, internationally! Many people for example in Europe haven't heard anything of her, but the trance remixes!

And why is there so much hate against that guy? Calm down, girls. It is just a picture of a man, posing with a wax figure, oooooh my...
