so happy for JJong even though I have a crush on him.. feel sad for the girl though. Look at SE7EN's girlfriend :( and i'd so not be surprised if we get 500 000 fans leaving SHINee just for this

My, aren't we the same :D Jjong has been my bias through the entire KPop world LOL

I know right, even for someone as old as SE7EN got this kind of thing too, I mean he's already mature and ready to get married -_-

noisy_harmony 27th October 2010 06:48 PM

Wow why I always miss the best news? I'm so happy for Jonghyun and I'm not joking! I'm definitely for idols being in relationships and not being afraid of it and against shipping each member with another in the one group :/
I know it's time which may cause a hurricane in Shawols fandom but hey, let boys know there are also fans who are happy for Jjong and his girlfriend and who wish them the best!

This only made me more curious for other bands and idols. Let the big revealing time begin :innocent

i really hope jjong fans act like se7en ones :( they were so harsh with him, even now they act like crazy just because a MMV and photoshot -o-

TofuBunny 27th October 2010 07:04 PM

^^ I want a huge article which reveals all idol couples, with pictures of them showing off confidently, maybe then the delusional 'fans' will leave them alone and accept it since it'll be the 'normal' thing for idols to be in a relationship that's not kept a secret

^ ikr :(, I was surprised that SM confirmed it even after the Se7en thing happened.

Fans in Korea used to be treated like they have this kind of relationship with thier idol, like when they appear on Reality Shows and such. I get that feeling as if they are your friends and you've known them quite well. And when you're a blinger, sometimes that means Jjong would only be your BF. It's pathetic but sometimes I get to feel things like that with other Korean artists.
:yes .. The magic about kpop idols is their appeal that makes you feel like you 'know them', I think I know SHINee better than my own brother :laugh .. It makes fans emotionaly attached to them (I would know since I'm going through it XD), and get shocked when they reveal something as huge as this

btw terra I love your posts here :heart

Yes, I want that too. I mean when everybody just showing themselves with their couples like in Japan or US, incidents like this is hard to find.

P.S : They should've wait for public's approval first to play it safe I guess, like what happened to Jo Kwon-Ga In, YongSeo and KhunToria couple. People enjoy seeing them in 'relationship' even as far as blessing them like Jo Kwon-Ga In :p

Thanks for the compliment, I really appreciate it :D
ikr, it's like I have a connection with them. I feel like SHINee is my school friends, that's why such news is shocking to me. As if, "Jong, why you never introduced her to me? I'm your friend!" :P LOL

waterballoon 27th October 2010 07:10 PM

there's a difference between idolizing feeling "emotionally attached" and becoming crazy/obsessed when ur idol has some NORMAL life stuff like a partner, marriage, etc.

terra 27th October 2010 07:17 PM

^^ there's difference but the border is quiet blur
I mean when you are 'emotionally attached', that idea could go like 'I feel that I'm his brother', 'I'm his best friend" or "I'm his only girlfriend". Unfortunetely the last example is what we always usually found on Korean Fangirls. That's why personal feelings often follows it and making an imaginary reality when they think Jjong is the only man for them.

When some 'random girl' appears and said that she's been together with Jjong it ruins that illusion. They maybe have been holding and relying on Jjong so much in their life (like giving a push or 'be' with them when they're sad), so that when they finally 'fall' it hurts soooooooo much they went outraged, refusing to wake up.

Yes, I've been there too once...

xD :yes

the thing is... I've got tons of biases too and I tell people Taeyang is my husband, but yeah... I know where the limit is.

like, as "surreal" as they appear to be, they're still humans. they're still gonna date, marry, have a family, die, etc some day. understanding that makes it much easier for them imo

miroro 27th October 2010 07:37 PM

^knetizens don't know where's the limit..

Yesterday, we reported that actress Shin Se Kyung and SHINee’s Jonghyun were confirmed to be dating. Eventually, as many expected, various anti-cafes have sprung up across the internet.

It appears that the photos that confirmed the public of their relationship have shocked many of Jonghyun’s fans. Upon hearing the news fans have had opposing reactions with a few bad apples turning to terrorizing Shin Se Kyung in jealousy, leading to the closing of her Cyworld minihompy. While many others have shown a more mature attitude by encouraging one another to accept the stars’ personal lives.

Currently there are four anti-cafes on portal site Naver. In particular, the 1st Shin Se Kyung Anti-Cafe, which was formed in March, had a sudden increase in members upon the news of the couple’s relationship. This cafe displays a photo of Shin Se Kyung that has been scribbled on and states, ”Princess-syndrome Shin Se Kyung, acting as if she is pretty” and “Medicine to cure Shin Se Kyung of her princess-syndrome.”

it is really scaring :( poor girl, she must be really sad right now.

waterballoon 27th October 2010 07:40 PM

:rolleyes

I guess, on a bright side, this will be a good test to their love :yes I just hope they pull through this and prove those crazy "fans" that their love is true.

omg, I need to start preparing myself, I guess? gonna get lotsa anti fan cafes made for me when Taeyang announce our marriage...

j/k :laugh

Yup, Thank God I already did :yes it was a long time ago when I literally didn't have someone to depend on ~_~

And because of that I somehow know when I'm in their shoes. Sadly, it's hard to do it at first especially to ones with unrealistic way of thinking. We never really know what value they hold, neither what value that Jjong shares with Sekyung *as much as I'm curious about things between SU and Ai Otsuka :P*

miroro 27th October 2010 07:44 PM

^^lol, u bet start hiring some bodyguards!! (ask ayu to give you stan :laugh) but i understand you.. it happened already to me :o i was soooo annoyed, i even ad 5 anticafes, and all because i dated Kang ji Hwan, Lee seok hoon & Daniel Henney:o

Indeed....I can't imagine being in her position now, like the management would forbids her doing anything on my own or forbids her to go outside, or else...

Aaaw I love your post, to talk about ones' test of love :yes:love

TofuBunny 27th October 2010 07:48 PM

Yeah these kinds of fantasies can get really unhealthy if you get too attached to them, thank god I have a normal life outside of this fandom and I got the hang of balancing and knowing the limit of how much you want to get these people involved in your life. Most obsessive fans probably don't have that, I read an article once about how a lot of Korean teenagers don't have much to be excited about in life other than idols, so they turn them into the center of their lives. It's really sad :no

You're a guy bb, so they're gonna think it's adorable and ship it ofc :lech

Nackar_91 27th October 2010 07:50 PM

People like that are pathetic and are grossly overestimating their importance. If you think you have any say whatsoever on your idol's personal life, there's something completely wrong with you. But I guess these people will never change, no matter how many times you condemn them : /

Really, guys I honestly had a great time talking about kpop with you in this Ayu-realm rather than jumping in right to the KPop pool XDDD
