mmm, what is the difference between ep and single?

^^singles are usually one or two songs (in rare cases, three or four), whereas with an EP, you can assume there will be more songs.

I just call the release whatever the artist wants to call it lol. If Utada wants to call her 10-tracked This Is the One an album and Aira Mitsuki wants to call her 10-tracked ROBOT HONEY a single than whatever.

Ok, it could be a mini-album, e.p. or whatever, but for me is a single then.

Ok. I've been doing some research. Not exactly getting the best answers either. This is all I can really find with google. What constitutes a single is basically a vinyl record. One side of a record can hold about 23 minutes of music when played at 45 rpm. Whatever songs you can fit on that one side is what used to be considered a single. It is also considered a single if both sides are played at 45 rpm and hold less than 21 minutes worth of music. By today's standards and regulations. a single is a recording of 4 or less songs, or does not proceed over 25 minutes of time. An LP (album) is a record played at 33⅓ rpm with a length of 45 minutes per side. It contains music that lasts longer than 25 minutes per side, but can go on as long as it wants (aka double/triple/quadruple vinyls).

This is all based off of records though. I can't find anything about cd's so we'll just have to go with the charts and say this is a mini album. Not sure how long the overall track length of all songs combined is, but it has 5 songs.

umm, why don't you read that first page when "you" go to it. see what it says at the top of the page? that's right, "LOVE is" ep. it's in the single section because there is no EP section, they tacked the ep on to let you know what it actually is. oh, and look at the damn cover if that is not enough proof for you, besides the artist saying it herself over and over, do you see ep in that title on the cover. nope, no you don't. what is with this thread? ;)

did I miss something? this album was released the 22nd. it's now the 24th in japan and still no cd rip? are there really this little michi fans, or is she really so unpopular we have to wait 2 days after a cd release to get anything? No one on this forum bought it?
