Both ladies could do better.

I mean born this way

Ayumi-Hamasaki-guilty 14th February 2011 01:28 PM

Born this way (:

Melodie 14th February 2011 09:00 PM

Born This Way, because I like the meaning behind it.

I like both songs actually and I think the whole fan wars is kinda ...silly. It's a great time for female pop singers, and I'm going to pick both of them.

But, if I had to choose one....I would say 'Hold It Against Me,' just because it sounds newer, if we had to choose on a substance measure, I'd pick 'Born this Way' because it has meaning.

BTW while the performance was entertaining is a really ****** song tbh. The production is all over the place, her vocals are over the place, and overall sounds it's like some aborted child of Vogue and Express Yourself. I can't imagine myself ever listening to it again. :laugh Sorry, Gaga.

I got bored with HIAM. It's a pretty standard pop song, nothing special going for it except for the dubstep breakdown. I haven't listened to it since it came out and probably won't listen to it again until I get the album but it's obviously the better song.

Born This Way, because the computer program known as Britney's "voice" is getting stale.

Chibi-Chan 17th February 2011 10:35 PM

I don't get the comparison, but I love "Hold It Against Me"! "Born This Way" is really boring, in my opinion.

Mr GaGa 22nd February 2011 02:52 PM

I love this 2 songs but 'Born This Way' is the best for me ^^

isthisLOL? 22nd February 2011 08:19 PM

I didn't expect much from either and it turns out that was the right expectation.
Hold it against me is quite catchy though while Born this way is the kind of "anthem of our generation" or even "gay anthem" that makes me want to crawl back into the closet because of it's mediocre composition, blatant plagiarism and superficial lyrics.

My Rainbow 22nd February 2011 08:39 PM

Madonna is beyond those two, Britney's song is not good but it's better than the thing called Born This Way... Gaga is so overrated, just because she wears those stupid dresses many people like her... I still have good taste... No way I'm voting for this hoax called Lady Gaga...

SURREAL__RAINBOW 22nd February 2011 10:03 PM

I don't like Gaga just because of how she dresses, but more because of her music.

Nu-NRG 23rd February 2011 06:06 AM

I listen to Gaga but Born This Way lost this time because that special "oomph" found in Gaga's songs is just not there and Hold It Against Me is just awesome. Even my friends love them lol and they're not a Britney Spears fans to begin with :shrugs:

Suteisi 23rd February 2011 04:20 PM

For a while I liked both equally.

But lately I find myself getting tired of hearing Britney, yet I can still listen to Gaga over and over again and still enjoy it the same.

I voted for Born This Way.

Sandy 23rd February 2011 09:59 PM

I don't like either one :D Heh, weird, both are from artists I do (sometimes) listen (Brit more though) but these songs just won't hit me... /:

hearted 24th February 2011 08:55 PM

born this way because of this line "your lebanese, your orient" AHHHH WE ARE RELEVENTTTT!!!!!

but also cuz i was disapointed with brit's song.. its so bland =/

cyyong29 26th February 2011 10:03 AM

Well at first I didn't really like HIAM; I fell in love with BTW.
However when I listened to both songs more, I think HIAM is nicer, probably because I don't really like the messy instrumental noise in BTW.
So HIAM is ahead of BTW for now. :)

ComatoseBunnySnatcher 27th February 2011 01:14 AM

both are pretty mediocre, but I'll vote Britney since I actually tolerated most of the song
