Prior to their advancement into Japan, Girl’s Day will release a new single in Korea!

On August 30th, a representative from their agency stated, “Prior to advancing into Japan, Girl’s Day will be releasing a Korean digital album on September 2nd“. However, Girl’s Day will not be participating in any domestic activities and will focus on their advancement into Japan instead.

Girl’s Day’s new single, “Don’t Let Your Eyes Wander“, was written by Nam Ki Sang, who also composed their hit song “Twinkle Twinkle“. Nam Ki Sang was said to have composed this song for Girl’s Day from his sickbed. The new song takes on the theme of a girl warning her boyfriend, “Don’t look at other girls“, with cute aegyo. The harmony of all 5 members Jihae’s dreamy and harmonious rap leaves a favorable impression.

Though their advancement in Japan was initially set for mid-September, nothing is confirmed as of yet. Girl’s Day’s agency, DreamT Entertainment stated that the girls will depart for Japan on September 1st, and after a final assessment, will establish details regarding their debut date and promotional schedules.

Not sure if I want another cute single. Hug Me was already similar to Twinkle, I would rather have another Nothing Lasts Forever (imo their strongest track for me). But oh well, since they seem to have more success with the cute route, I can't blame their company for using it again.

너, 한눈 팔지마! is so good. their last 3 cute songs are very similar but you know what, I don't care. I can appreciate a well made cute song and theirs are very well done lately. I never imagined I would love their music so much when their first song came out (it was soo horrible!) but I can forgive them for spoiling me with these amazing cute songs :yes

Song doesn't sound like a comeback but rather another song that fits their mini. Rather disappointing, but I guess they'll do fine with this kind of style in Japan.

A comeback in 8 months, Girl's Day's mini album Everyday II

A 5-member popular girl group Girl's Day will be coming back in 8 months with a hit song followed by Twinkle Twinkle, Hug Me Once.

Girl's Day's new release, after taking a long hiatus, comes with a total of 4 songs, 3 new songs of which consist of the title song Oh! My God, Two of Us, and Telepathy, including the existing song Don't Flirt. The concept of the second mini album Everyday II aims to be cutey + vivid + sexy that Girl's Day's well-known image as cute and cheerful will be added with mature to show you another charm of them.

The title song Oh! My God is composed by Kang Ji Won & Kim Ki Bum, who also composed Secret's hit song Starlight Moonlight. The song is a dance song with an electronic sound featured as the addictive melody in the chorus part, and with an addition of shuffle-paced rhythm for maximizing upbeat feel. The song's lyrics talk about accusing a boyfriend of not being extroverted and sensible in a cute manner.

One thing to give notice to the album with an interest is that both the lyrics/melody of the song Telepathy, which expresses a fluctuating mind of a girl who finds her ideal type and tries to attract him with telepathy, are composed by Sojin the oldest unnie in Girl's Day. It's worth giving a listen to the first work of Sojin who has been dreaming of becoming a singer-songwriter.
