i read that she didn't die as a direct result of drugs. apparently she stayed away from the hardcore drugs for a while, but was still a heavy drinker. heavy drinking induces seizures and it's speculated that a massive seizure caused her death.

Which is sad in itself, because the song Rehab is possibly her most well known song. Her talent being shown through something that contributed to her own self-destruction.

What happened to her is devastating, I heard it on the radio and I didn't think I'd heard right at first. While we all say "I expected this from her lifestyle" you don't quite expect it to happen now.

My feelings for her family and those close to her, to have tried but still have this as a result. I agree that her not wanting help, or being unable to take it, is sadder than the addiction itself.

I had read that she had been in a weeks long binge and was seen buying drugs like ecstasy or cocaine or whatever the night before she died.

that's true, but i've also read that authorities said there were no signs of foul play. even if she didn't die directly from drugs/alcohol, the long term affects got to her, which she should have known were coming if she didn't stop. :( it's sad that people choose substance over life.

This news didnt come to me as a shock either, since I was expecting something like this to happen for a few years now. She wasn't able to perform without stumbling for a while now, but even though I saw this coming, I still felt terrible for her afterwards.

Who knows if she actually wanted to be helped,sometimes is not that easy to find the way out if you don't know how to search correctly, and as far as i know, detox is really long and painful, so i assume it was like a double burden for her. Is not that easy if you don't find in yourself the strenght.

I feel bad too, death is never a joke; however, the irony of her #1 hit single being titled "rehab" is uncanny.

It's her own fault. Yeah, it sucks, but I'm not going to sugar-coat a damn thing.

Same thing with Michael Jackson. It's pretty crappy.

Some of you need to be more sensitive/respectful about this situation.

I didn't really know much about her other than she drank a lot and was a pop singer, heh.

That's too bad what happened to her though.

it's not up to us to judge the choices of somebody else, especially when it come sto life and death.

her talent has been wasted but her songs will remain.
