I'm surprised not seeing an english name on taskebab, it's definitely this Daft Punk song!!

the part in question is at 01:04 (on taskebab that part begins at 00:51)

Wow, all kinds of nationalities represented here. '

Marcus Winther-John is danish-english and he's written songs for MLTR before. Lene Dissing is also a danish songwriter, she's written some entries for the ESC. That's kinda cool to see!

That's because Tell me why was sampled from this song. They were the composers of the original and were credited as such :D. Ayu always gives credit where credit is due :).

Oh! That makes a bit more sense now. I think I vaguely remember now, someone said Tell Me Why was a cover, derp. Thank you!

It's probably more appropriate to say that they sampled Aerodynamic [or used the same guitar tapping sample].

I think tasuku has a habit of sampling tracks for his interludes but at the same time, doing that kind of gets him labeled as a plagiarist.

adantatu2 16th March 2012 01:13 AM

another task interlude (i can't remember) got a sample from Hoobastank, so isn't a big surprise for me,lol

They may have used the same sample.

taskinst was the one that seemed to sample Hoobastank's "Don't Tell Me" and tasking used an identical sample as S.F.A's "Beyond Hope" for Granado Espada.

Since this has happened 3 times in a row [or more]... I think it's not exactly plagiarism.

Well, no wonder I like Return Road so much. Timmy's tracks here are a bit of a let down, tbh. I mean, they're not actually bad, just kind of simple and slightly boring next to all the other tracks.

Wow I didn't know all those tracks weren't the original ones. I feel relieved that it's not plagiarism then ^_^

Aerodynamic!! Love that song, so hearing taskebab was just :no

Pieces_of_SEVEN 16th March 2012 03:09 AM

All this cover stuff, and "inspired by" is interesting...hm...

rakeru 16th March 2012 03:28 AM

I'm happy to see Yuta Nakano in there. I've never been disappointed by his work!

Pieces_of_SEVEN 16th March 2012 03:59 AM

^^Same here!

I can finally understand why I love Return Road so much.

Actually, when Ayu song credited as DAI (any songs from Ayu debut era until today), it's only Nagao Dai, the Do As Infinity mastermind, not the whole band. You can read this complete fanpage about DAI, she even listed some Ayu songs there.

If you know about the "new" Do As Infinity (Reformed back in 2008, and still releasing until today), there's an official statement said that Nagao Dai isn't the part of the band anymore, you can hear the difference as well in the music, it's slightly different from their previous works when Nagao Dai still in the band.

I need more Nagao Dai materials though, his composition are just pure magic.

^^Interesting, thanks

That's not what th meant; he meant that Return Road is most likely an old composition, because DAI doesn't even compose for Do As Infinity (or in general?) anymore. He didn't mean that Do As Infinity had anything to do with Ayu's DAI songs.

mellody 19th March 2012 02:02 AM

Ah I see, seems like I got it wrong then.
Anyway, even though he doesn't compose for Do As Infinity anymore, I don't think it's an old material. Why come into conclusion it's an old material? He seems not really busy.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 19th March 2012 02:14 AM

Is there a website, or some kind of resource where I can go to reference composers and arrangers for all of her songs?

Queen Bee 19th March 2012 03:40 AM

^I usually use http://www.uta-net.com/

It just seems odd that only Ayu is getting 'new' compositions from DAI aside from his own projects.

It's entirely possible that NEXT LEVEL onward were all new, but usually when his compositions pop up there's only one per release. (NEXT LEVEL, BALLAD, and now Return Road) It leads me to believe that he isn't really around composing new music for Ayu. He just disappeared for 2-3 years after BLUE BIRD and then suddenly came back for an album. It was a little odd imo.

mellody 19th March 2012 05:19 AM

You may be right, since he's actually a composer and starts as a composer, and yet he has a self-label as well, not sure if it's under avex or not.

My wish for Ayu album full of DAI has gone forever then.
