HANABI sounds like a song of hopeless desperation in love, and willingness to make it work.
HANABI episode II sounds like a pensive introspection focused on that love and desperation, with an effort to let go and move on.

I love both songs but honestly, it's probably the fact HANABI ep. II had a PV that made me vote for it.

episode II is as good as HANABI, but I listen to HANABI more often

While they are both dark and sad songs, they are quite different, with one being such a slow ballad, and the other one has the "whoaa oh ohaaa" in the chorus and the parts of the song where it gets sort of upbeat. Both treasures.

I amazed at how close this poll is. Hanabi Ep. II has always been so forgettable to me. Even though I listened to it once more before I voted, I feel like I need to go back and understand the immense love for it.

HANABI is one of my top songs. I love every single thing in that song, from the start to the end.
I never felt in love with H~II~ those yeeeey wowowowow were out of place in my opinion.

Can't believe it's this close, I thought HANABI would win by a landslide. It's such a classic, and honestly, HANABI II really was a letdown. I have grown to accept it, but it is very different from the first one and I never really liked the chanting "YAYAY-WHOA-OOOH-WHOOOAOOOOH"

Both songs are classics and two of Ayu's best songs ever (in my opinion!).

It was one of my first ayu songs and i love it 'til today
