Ugh, right as the semester is starting?? REALLY?!?! :( I mean I'll TRY to go, but... it's not looking good. =\

LacusClyne 29th July 2012 02:20 PM

That is great! I'm happy for those who can go!

For those who are able to go, please go! You might think it's just a concert, but it's really different from watching on your plain old DVD!
I had watched both in Singapore theatres and it's awesome! The effects were really good, you feel that Ayu is like RIGHT in front you!
I strongly recommend it, especially for those who hadn't yet saw her live in concert, it's worth it!

AyuGAME 29th July 2012 03:34 PM

It's still pretty odd though. Why have an official screening if they weren't planning on potentially doing more or expanding beyond Japan? Not to say that it's definitely going to happen, but because this is happening at all, the possibility is there.

Zeke. 29th July 2012 05:05 PM

I agree though, world tour has always been a bogus idea. If it happens, I will be extremely happy - but I do not even allow my mind to think of such things as I know how slim the chances are.

And what about the east coast of the same country this is being shown in? lol that's more plausible than Europe.

I kid, bb.

To be honest, it's always the way with Japanese acts who come to America. Most things are filmed or distributed in Cali, either because it's easier to schlep back to Japan afterwards or they just forget that there are other damn states hanging around.

The creepy thing about this is I had a dream just last night that Ayu was tweeting in English about releasing stuff in LA. wat.

True, it's traditional for foreign films over here to haved subs, but a concert film? Eh, if it were like AT07 maybe, because that had backstage stuff inbetween performances. Did the HK and Singapore showings have subs? If they did we might, but I doubt it.

Plus I doubt they'll place ads on TV and such for this concert. "Catch Ayu in theatres, but only in LA!" There might be a few adverts in the LA-area, but I'm sure they'll realize not many outside the Ayu/JPop fandom will see this.

truehappiness 29th July 2012 11:20 PM

I originally found out about this from a friend who read about it in a free Japanese news publication so I think it will definitely get a bit of press in the LA area. There was a live May'n concert that had a bunch of posters around Torrance/Little Tokyo/etc. a few weeks back. It might be advertised on UTB 18.2 around here and maybe 44.1 as well?

Also... I attended the Miku concert broadcast in Anaheim and it had no subs. I don't think they would sub the concert to begin with anyway. I don't believe they did this for the Asian screenings of the concert either?

Jennie Mae 30th July 2012 05:01 AM

I'm seriously debating on going, it depends on my work schedule. It's a six hour drive away, but then I think how far away all the rest of you are and it doesn't seem so bad!

C+R+E+AYUMI 30th July 2012 07:38 AM

Oh guys, this is so great! Hope many of you can attend the shows!

voltron 30th July 2012 06:21 PM

Ugh, I wish 7 Days would come out on 3D blu-ray already, so I could see it.

Does anybody know if the movie screenings have typically cut out the intermission/costume change videos? That was the one thing that made me sad about my A3D DVD for Next Level -- all the beautiful interlude videos are gone!

You have psychic powers, my friend.

If only this had been released earlier this year, I would have been able to see since I was in LA at that time. Cruel irony.

truehappiness 31st July 2012 12:31 AM

She did just tweet that night in English about You & Me.

jessicar 31st July 2012 04:34 AM

Hopefully this sells well because you never know what could come out from it...
