i dunno why but i seriously think that there will be another version of this PV... with more ayu and DJ Kitty...

I agree regarding the message of the video, but maybe because Japan still hold to that conventional idea of good looking women but I'm not sure.

My only concern in how ayu acted at the end...that's so weird, she shouldn't go the commercial / game show girl mode :|

From a cinematic pt, the constant one-direction of the PV is gd! It shows how u just progress towards ONE GOAL in the direction you set out too. I think the PV is quite different from the typical Ayu PV (and still better than Shake It and NaNaNa). Just well, I could see lots of contention about the message it is trying to convey.

It was funny, but I also felt sorry for the girl. I guess it would have been better if they made Ayu look obese and do all that silly and funny stuff. The animation is trash just like the refren xD

I really don't have any problems with the plot, the characters and the message. My problem is that Ayu want to be American, this is my opinion (I love U.S.A. I don't have any problems with that) But I love Ayu because she is japanese and I want her to stay like this. But if she want to make something like western style it's ok but I hope she knows when to stop this.

It would've been a million times better if they made ayu fat, even though the idea overall is silly to me anyway.

I don't get the "Westernized VS Japanese" thing... from the day she dyed her hair Blonde I don't think "ayumi hamasaki" is any Japanese. she got a divorce (or at least one of the reasons for it) was because she chose to stay in her home country in a time of its crisis. how un-Japanese can that be?

girl has been making loads of "westernized" stuff since her debut days.

Somehow now it seems as Ayu is some sort of diva who shouldn't look inferior/obese/unattractive so they found an actress to look silly. I don't think they wanted the PV to look offensive but it can totally be seen as such.

She's always had at least one Western/non-Japanese PV per year though since 1999 or so. I'm sure Pray won't be filmed overseas.

I guess we know what James was talking about now, haha.

my problems with the video were:

- the subliminal message and how "wrong"it can be perceived
- Ayu looks bimbotic and embarrassing in the last scene. she can't... flirt with boys lol. that was so awkward.

I was looking forward to seeing that hunk half-naked throughout the whole PV but I got.... an obese girl trying to change herself into the perfect image of Ayu lol Oh well

idk, I feel like this video is VERY Japanese.

I would have liked it better if she got all fit and bedazzled and then didn't need the man...but that's just me. :P
