Oh no the drop is quiet hard..I hope when the promotion from SONGS and her tour broadcast kick off...it will help the sales...

What's good is that sungmo's is already out of the top 10 and he is the only threat to ayu right now.

Total sales are around 22,547 for ayu.

at least she's still in the top 3. sixxxxxx already sold 22,547 copies, it's probably going to reach 30,000 by the end of the week :yes

Ayu needs to get on TV more~ and promote songs that are worth promoting. The song she should've been doing a bunch is Summer diary. That's the true summer song on the album. Yet... we only got Step by step. Which came out months ago anyway. But, getting first day #1 is really great. If by a miracle she ends up with the weekly #1 that'd be amazing but I'm not counting on it xD

And the first position sold only 6,4k, this is going to be one of the poorest weeks at oricon

In a way it was a smart move for avex to release sixxxxxx this week as sales for most of the best albums which have been released the past few weeks are slowing down

I'm sure sixxxxxx would stand no chance if it was released 3 weeks ago

That said , it will be great sixxxxxx will be able to get #1 overall as I do feel this release deserves so

This is why it would be intersting to know the numbers from recochoku and iTunes. In the US Billboard they count Digital copies too not just physical ones (and before anyone comes again with the freaking 90% physical 10% digital in japan or whatever: it doesn't matter here and I heavily doubt this is true/this is probably outdated) which is a lot better of a system IMO. For all we know she could have the same numbers on iTunes as she does on Oricon, could also be worse of course but, we don't know. I find it increasingly difficult to tell if an album is doing well or not. Sure her physical sales aren't the greatest thing but what does she have digitally? No idea.

Sorry for the rant Oricon is going on my nerves and I agree with you tokyoxjapanxfan Summer Diary seems to be doing best out of the album tracks, not performing MOWY or SEASONS (snoozefest...) would have been better and doing summer diary instead

This. Ayu totally missed an opportunity to promote sixxxxx the right way. But oh well, Praying for 30k!! 3rd place isn't bad I mean she's still top 5 right!! :)

^^ good question actually has she ever specified why she barely does performances anymore?

^ If you don't count LOVE and again the last comparison point is FIVE and you can't really compare these 2... FIVE was 2 weeks at #1 and sold over 200k total lol If you count LOVE and again:
LOVE: first week: 64k total: 94k
again: first week: 34k total: 53k

But that was in 2012 and LOVE had a strong tie-in

Well A ONE sold around 20,000 on the first day and then on the 2nd was #4 after an album that was #3 that sold around 8,000 on that day, so as for now sixxxxxx has the same trajectory as A ONE, just with smaller numbers.

A ONE 20,000 to less than 8,000 and sixxxxxxx 17,000 to 5,000.

Sungmo out of top ten, that's good news. Ayu ahead of Dreams Come True...also good news. But the fact that the first place sold over 6,000, it could be anyone's game...

...but I'm predicting Ayu's numbers are now ahead of Sungmo. Hopefully...

The only thing we need is consistency. Hopefully she can still stay in the top three - or, better yet, back to #1. PLEASE!!!
