Posted on JPC. My hopes for a studio album are really low right now.
I know that Kuu said she was preparing an album for the tour but she easily could've meant SPRING of LOVE or another collection album as it wasn't really specified. I think we're either getting the 60th single or SPRING OF LOVE/collection album with a couple of new songs to promote the tour while the tour will be called Best Single Collection II. I hope I'm wrong but this is looking more and more likely to me and others....

The difference is that she's known for her summer and winter hits, I don't think this SPRING OF LOVE is happening, and until I see a confirmation that this new tour is Best Single Collection ~to the future~, I'm not thinking even a little bit that it is. Can someone share the original japanese post?

I've read the original Japanese post and they use the word こだわり - which actually means something along the lines of determination.
So I'd translate it as the live is surely going to be packed with Kuu's full power again.
So "compilation of Kuu-chan" in the sense of everything Kuu is known for, the person. Compilation is a really awkward translation for it.

Here's the line:
今回もくぅちゃんのこだわりが詰まったライブになること間違いなしです！

^Exactly :) Also it does mean taking care of all in detail, as it can be traduced as obsession as well.
I got a little bit scared. I want a original new album. If she release a new compilation I'll take it with humor though

I think it would be more appropriate to say "this live will be a compilation of everything that Kuu-chan is known for" so yeah...they really botched that translation :laugh

And the fact that there was this kind of contest where fans choose a song they wanna see live...

This is looking strange to me too. New music is definitely on the way, but how long will it take to be finally ready that's the question. I'm not here for a best of tour again

I'm not worried. FC spoke about her recording for a new album for the tour and everything hints to that as well.

Last FC posts talk about them being in the track down phase. Which means they're revisiting everything being recorded and finishing it.

^I'm also in favour of a new album, but they would also say new album if it is a compilation with new songs.

And I already said I doubt that. Back with SoL they never said album before (we only had tags with the name on her official pics before the announcement) and also with WoL we didn't get info about a "new album" from her FC.
Of course doesn't mean they wouldn't do it now, but it wouldn't make sense.

I think we'll get news next week monday or wednesday, hopefully. Btw, I like all this hype :laugh

I know you said it before but this is Japan. Think about how they advertise stuff.
But as I said before, I doubt it... it is just not impossible

But the time gap between WomL and this new album is way to big - especially for Kumi - for not having new music.

I still think this is a late march album anyway.

Btw, I would love a new cover album. It would be nice to follow the pattern of them (ETERNITY having more 70s / 80s songs and Color the Cover being pretty much all 90s songs with few exceptions). Can you imagine a cover album with songs from 00s? ♥

New original album+new cover album would be perfect. No chance though. =P

i think with her 60th being teased since her first concert we can expect the 60th to be a fc/digital one like DITR with release 1 month later...
(or limited single alongside the album)

and like kaled said, it's expected that her 13th AL comes out 22nd/29th of march...
we should get an announcement the next 1 1/2 weeks for sure...

i wonder with her hair being purple again if she's using it for the theme/color of the album…
would love to have something different than black/white/gold/pink for a release lol

Kuu is attending NHK's Uta Con for the first time!
31st January, the theme is women's hearts and emotions or the way of women living today. They're singing their popular songs dealing with that theme.
