I think it'd be really cool if she released an album that's' 90s influenced, but influenced by non-TK stuff. IE two of us, love destiny, PS II, trust etc.

Vocally singing in a lower range with a mellowed sound would be interesting to me if fleshed out into a full album.

RnB ~inspired~ with hints of pop and rock.

Unpopular opinion I'm sure.

With Utada's popularity at the time, I feel she stayed away from this genre.

I don't want dance music, and I'm tired of rock. Something "mature" would be a really nice change for me.

I'm sure I'll like anything she gives us, but this would be my ideal I guess haha.

With her current voice she should stay away from those. Also why would RnB be mature and rock wouldn’t? I dislike RnB music with passion btw. The most boring thing after hip hop and reggae :D

I would love something that is sonically similar to LOVEppears and RAINBOW. Electronica influenced with a dash of R&B.

It's funny how we all have different tastes. I think that Ayu didn't make a good rock song in years. And rock is boring as hell, but I usually make an exception for Ayu.

Last minute and flower were pretty good :P. We are the queens on the other hand.... :think I see your point.

Honestly if she don’t get rid of her older producers aka Yuta Nakano, Tetsuya Yukimi etc... I don’t expect anything stellar... they are good for giving the Ayu style but that’s it. I would kill for something ethereal with a fusion of electronic music blended with true instruments.
I don’t know why this album took so long but I hope it’s because she wanted new inspiration ... I don’t hold my expectation to high.

At least there will be no more music from Tetsuya Komuro :D. I liked her collaboration with Daishi Dance. I wish that she makes something similar to Next Level or Colours.

I would really love an album with folk/traditional inspired sound like theme of a-nation, Will, Love Song, Flower in combination with something ethereal/experimental like Dolls, BRILLANTE. She always has these songs scattered through her albums but never in one place.

I wouldn’t be too sure about Tk XD

Her current voice is deep, and she struggles to hit high notes. Imo it'd work great. And I didn't say rock wasn't mature, I just meant generally it'd be nice to have a more mature sound. The sentences just happened to be next to each other haha.

And that's why variety makes the world go round~ luckily you have a plethora of songs where you can get your non rnb, reggae and hip hop fix lol.

chocopockymaster 1st May 2018 11:58 AM

All I know is I don't want We Are The Queens anywhere near this album

May that song never see the light of day ever again lol

aliceshields 1st May 2018 12:31 PM

If “We are the Queen” & “Words” made it to the upcoming album, and if the length of the new album going to be 10 again and presumable first track is interlude, so she only need to record another 7 or 8 songs... 🤔

Katsuyuki012 1st May 2018 01:00 PM

*shamelessly would love to have WatQ and WORDS as 'bonus' tracks on the next album*

I am happy to have variety on the new album as long as it’s along the lines of (miss)understood or Party Queen. Luckily there is a plethora of genres she could do other than rnb, reggae and hip hop.

Also ayu is ayu and I think we will have at least a couple of screamy rock tracks coming our way.

Words would be an awesome bonus track!

This would be amazing :yes

I would rather have a completely new album without Words and WATQ. The first one is kinda bland and the second one is just terrible.

truehappiness 1st May 2018 08:22 PM

I think she'll put them on for filler at least.

Surreal17 1st May 2018 09:30 PM

I don't think she'll include these two songs in the new album as regular tracks, maybe just as bonus tracks. First of all, We are the Queens is almost 2 years old and also it seemed to be created precisely for Clash of Queens, so it's not just an usual track. As for Words, it's more like a gift song than anything else. Winter Diary wasn't included either on M(A)DE IN JAPAN. I may be wrong though.

truehappiness 1st May 2018 09:33 PM

Digital singles usually find their way somewhere somehow.

Katsuyuki012 1st May 2018 09:40 PM

Winter Diary was on her classical album. That's why it wasn't included in MIJ. The video was on MIJ's DVD though since A7 didn't have it.

Yes! This and some Daishi Dance please.

I would love it if we could a 16 track album including interludes. And, I also went for 16 tracks, because We Are The Queens (which I enjoy) and Words (haven't heard) will inevitably be included.
