He's been live streaming from Dragon, so I don't think being in a crowded public establishment is a huge problem for him.

Didn't he retweet a bunch of articles downplaying covid and complaining about lockdowns because they have a negative effect on the economy? So yeah, I kinda doubt he'd be against holding concerts

Yikes lol

Unrelated but I saw photos from Shibuya the other day in that space by the Hachiko entrance of the station and a bunch of anti-maskers were demonstrating. But one of them was wearing a mask.

People are just...... :tired

I won tickets for CDL :)

Tbh I wanted to skip it this year because a friend is visiting lol which is why I really wanted to go to the Christmas live, but since I won I’ll of course go. My 3 other friends also won, so I wonder if less people are planning to go? Or if we all just got lucky?

Oh, interesting...

truehappiness 9th December 2020 04:48 AM

Hoping they do a stream or TV broadcast announce soon!

Chibi-Chan 9th December 2020 11:54 PM

^I want a stream so badly! It would be great to have something to look forward to.

summerain 10th December 2020 09:58 PM

How is Covid-19 going on Japan right now? Today I saw a TV news saying they reached a record of people infected in Tokyo (602 cases). Is there any possibility of Ayu's shows with crowd being cancelled / postponed or the situation is controlled there?

tokyoxjapanxfan 10th December 2020 10:39 PM

There’s a possibility, for sure. But for the moment it seems Japan is taking it’s chances due to the current economic situation.

voguehoney 11th December 2020 03:47 AM

Do you remember CDL13-14 is not TV broadcast / stream?

Linza-mo 11th December 2020 01:23 PM

Yay ! CDL will be broadcasted in streaming !

Do you know if Thumva is available overseas ?

https://info.thumva.com/html/help.html
Machine translation: I want to watch from overseas
We cannot guarantee the operation, so we do not support it.
(* The Thumva app is only available in Japan)

From PC though the trial video works without proxy and I can even download it (and it's not encrypted!): https://thumva.com/others/trial_movie
Maximum quality is:
Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x1080 30fps [V: h264 high L4.0, yuv420p, 1920x1080]
Audio: AAC 48000Hz stereo 142kbps [A: English [eng] (aac lc, 48000 Hz, stereo, 142 kb/s)]
Not bad at all.

truehappiness 11th December 2020 01:38 PM

Thumva is locked to Japan only. Bilibili is also apparently locked but can probably VPN both?

Thumva seems to be one of those things like Zoom where you can 'video chat' with other people while watching but I'd have just rathered it be on mu-mo LIVE.

koumori 11th December 2020 01:53 PM

I'm too worried to spend money on a platform where we haven't had any experience with their ability to detect VPNs. I hope it works out for those buying tickets though!

The ability to download the video is unexpected. I wonder if they'll have the option to disable that for certain events.

Chibi-Chan 11th December 2020 01:56 PM

I'm very disappointed that they simply don't seem to care for their overseas fans. I don't get why they exclude us here. Maybe I shouldn't renew my TA membership this month.

Chris85 11th December 2020 02:49 PM

Well, if the sample video is any indication, there are no restrictions. But who knows, right?

Aderianu 11th December 2020 03:13 PM

^ from the answer you posted it seems to me that they just can't guarantee the work and not going to forbid it on purpose

kaled kalil 11th December 2020 03:20 PM

I believe if you can see the sample, you will have no problem watching the concert. Mu-mo stream service was also Japan only and it worked fine everywhere.

https://live-on.mu-mo.net/ayu/
海外での利用は可能ですか?
本サービスは日本国内にてご利用いただくサービスです。

The quality of the stream is a lot better than mu-mo, so maybe this is a good thing.

maxikot 11th December 2020 03:35 PM

I got in touch with Ai Otsuka international community facebook fanpage because I found Ai streamed a concert in September on Thumva. So they said they were able to enjoy the show without a VPN. Naturally, there's a chance this has changed. Anyway, they gave me a twitter link of theirs with some tips for overseas fans :) They were so kind
