I'm really anxious about shipping via Surface because it's not insured. Is it really safe?

My only alternative is DHL which (I combined a few things that released over Christmas/New Year) is obnoxiously expensive. I bought a few things from the SPYxFAMILY and B1A4 Tower Records popups and have my CDL goods in a combined shipment.............cost to ship starts at $330 AUD.

I can ship twice the weight for like $150 AUD from Korea also with DHL.......why is it so expensive from Japan?? I braced myself for $200 but hot damn..... I guess it's staying there for a few more weeks lmao

Are DHL and FedEx not available from Japan to Russia? They're much more expensive, but if you really need to receive those documents asap, then this is also an option

It's not. I used it 2 times before and received packages both times, but that's not enough for statistics.

I don't want to use DHL, because it's crazy expensive. Once I had need to send documents to India. I called DHL, they said it will cost 12k. Dimex took 3k for the same speed.

you can actually insure surface, but I think tenso don´t offer it
Just like you can insure SAL up to 6000 Yen, but you have to pay extra. also tenso does not offer it.

I had 2 surface packages, one like 10 years ago and one last year, both arrived safe.

Maybe if I ever get a cheap CD bundle off YAJ or Mercari I'll use SAL to ship it but I would be way too anxious shipping new stuff via that method.

Maybe I should make a prayer to the postage gods that EMS will resume in February lol I'll never complain about EMS in the future xD

For the first time, I chose DHL Express (2283¥) over EMS for shipping and paid 39€ for customs & fees for a 125€ (BR+DVD+Shipping) Order. IMO 31% (or 36% without shipping) are a bit too heavy... :(

It´s only a single DVD, so not very big and heavy. And maybe CDJ has special conditions with DHL.

Most likely this. I remember Amazon's price for DHL was much more affordable than when you try to use their services on your own.

Are you using Buyee? They are soooo expensive to use DHL!! But when I'm buying things for dirt cheap on mercari or Book Off I try to rationalize that it makes up for cost... :laugh

I'm still waiting for an OS press of this release to be announced, fingers crossed! (need to save some money since I spent so much on DHL shipping the past few months :tipsy)
