Her stuff is poop now. Only good song she came out with was Game so far. Her career went downwards once Rainbow came out and in my opinion has been dropping ever since. The quality of her songs are going down as well, it's like ALL chorus now and that's dumb too. Or if it's not chorused it's all computer super enhanced like Greatful Days and Angel's Song, a few other songs has te enhanced voice in it too but I won't get into details.

I rarely listen to her now. I've been listening to Maaya Sakamoto if anyone in the Jpop section. Primarily Oakenfold, Sasha, Tiesto and so on has been my flavor of music. And Toshiro Masuda (musician for Naruto). It's just that Ayumi only has a few songs I can actually listen to often and since I'm almost listening to music 24/7 there's a good limit as to the songsI can tolerate to listen to more than 3 times a day vs songs I just can't stand at all or care less for.

Not only that but since I play Starcraft like a loser/nerd so much, Hamasaki music isn't quite good kill music for the game. Meh... until she can pull something amazing out of her butt that will blow the music scene away, she's just dropping in how much I enjoy her music everyday.

I can't say I ever get tired of her, but my interest does go up and down at times. I actually really like all of her new songs, so I'm not losing interest like some people have said they have. On the other hand, now that I've heard every single song and every remix she has, I've lost that experience of always having something new, so I don't always listen to her as much as I used to, but I still listen almost every day.

yeah sometimes i take a break from ayu. i have so much stuff i like to listen to. i have to be in the mood for it. and sometimes i just get in the mood for ayu!! :D

Hok 22nd September 2004 09:07 PM

Yep... I listen to other music when I'm not in the mood for Ayu. I listen to her songs like once every two weeks or so just for the nostalgia.

ayuchanfan 22nd September 2004 09:26 PM

-BOKU- 22nd September 2004 09:31 PM

hiroko1234 22nd September 2004 09:46 PM

AYU IS THE BEST!

gogirlanime 23rd September 2004 03:13 AM

Yeah, currently I'm on an Ayu down trip, I'm still not impressed with CAROLS at all, and usually if I don't like an Ayu song at first I'll love it later, but so far, it isn't happening, Ayu isn't doing so well these days, so I'm giving her a break. I'm really into Mika Nakashima right now, her voice is WAY better than Ayu's

Same here, my friend. It's been ages for me.

pankanshe 23rd September 2004 09:25 PM

I have the same feeling too. Lately I've been listening to other stuff. Like Utada's Exodus and other Chinese pop artists.

DerrickRocks 24th September 2004 07:22 AM

Yes i have and i have been hesitating on buying Carols it all sounds the same again i wish she would produce her own stuff again and please get rid of this new guy producing her stuff!

ddr trent 26th September 2004 08:06 AM

i'm starting to. with this rockish releases.

EijiroSan 26th September 2004 08:33 AM

It's very rare that I listen to Ayumi. I used to like her alot, but quite frankly, her music got kinda boring pretty quickly for me. I'll still pop on the occasional song or PV every now and then, but it's even been a while since I've done that. There are just so many more artists out there, and I'm still discovering new ones every day.

lovia 26th September 2004 06:04 PM

i used to play ayu all day round... but now.. i dun play her songs that much.. but i will still play at least play a few songs a day like 2 -5 songs (whichever my mood is) ... and i listen J-rock and other singers more nowadays... :D but my liking for ayu will never change ^^ ayu will still be my no.1 idol!!!

Qt Mashi 2nd October 2004 12:26 PM

she's still very new to me i've only been listening to her music for 3 weeks and i am kinda obsessed with her ...cant believe ive only started to know her :(

LX Ayu 3rd October 2004 02:45 AM

Dear Hamasaki,

Please stop your career for me and for the rest of the people if you wish to continue producing poop. Going back to High pitch "EEEEEEEE"'s is not the way to go. By me saying this I am directly saying this to you Hamasaki and not the people of the forums for they tend to believe saying "hapyp birthday" to you on here, in Japanese/English will somehow reach you.

Your fan, LX MD

PS: I still like your music, just you haven't been trying as much as you can or should. Fame does a lot to people.

FancySN 3rd October 2004 04:20 AM
