Chihiro Onitsuka - Infection

Nine Inch Nails - Hurt (arguably the saddest song ever written)
If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way
Arcade Fire - Ocean of Noise
In an ocean of noise
I first heard your voice
Now who here among us
Still believes in choice?
Not I

Ayumi Hamasaki - Memorial address
Bright Eyes - Poison Oak
The Arcade Fire - In The Backseat
The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
The Arcade Fire - Une Anee Sans Lumiere
...okay, so basically any Arcade Fire song. They all have a vice grip on my tender heart.

Whoooaaa did not expect to see a post of mine from 5 years ago :thud

Anyway, now I'd say (in addition to Arcade Fire :P):

Shiina Ringo - Shuukyou
- a brilliant song... it starts out mysterious, then makes your heart swell and at the end leaves you deflated, pondering, thoughtful. It holds my rapt interest for every second.

Shiina Ringo - Tsumi to Batsu
- a powerful blues ballad. You can feel her pain so deeply. Especially fun to belt out when I'm feeling down.

Cocco - Hi no terinagara ame no furu
- makes me feel hopeful and grateful somehow. lovely

Maaya Sakamoto's "Okitegami" and "Another Gray Day in the Big Blue World", Emiko Shiratori's "Lonely Planet", BEPA's "Brat'ja" and Lene Marlin's "Another day" still make me cry sometimes. Oh, and Loreena McKennitt's "Dante's Prayer" is a really beautiful song too!

Would you happen to have Lonely Planet? I've looked eeeeeeverywhere to no avail T____T

Agreed ^^ I'm a huge Coldplay fan, lol.

Also on my list...well, emotional songs for me are so depressing, haha. But yet, they're good songs (for me anyway~)

Zombie - The Cranberries
Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
You Could Be Happy - Snow Patrol

I'd probably be able to drum up more names, but my iTunes has been erased (again :headache) and usually I scroll through to awaken my memory a bit. :laugh

Omg :heart Coldplay are amazing. Especially the X&Y album, I love that one so much.

And actually there's one song with Snow Patrol I'm also very fond of: Make this go on forever.

This! Man, when that build-up and last chorus come in my heart sank. It was so powerful.
