i start to like her this week xD

It was hard to avoid her music with all that hype for her 12 singles. So I decided to take a listen, and I actually enjoy some of her songs now.

I may start off by saying I have never, ever played even one FF game.
I always somewhat liked her, but was never a huge fan. The 12 singles did spark a bit of my attention though. I don't listen to her daily anymore as much as I used to. I'm usually throwing on some Mika or Nanase.(Rock, Jazz, non-hip pop.) There's occasions where I do have a thirst for her music, though. She's a cute girl. Not really as revealing as everyone thinks though. :/ It's ashame everyone's too stereotypical.

I started to like her at the start of 2004, when I was first getting into jpop. I wasn't too sure which jpop cds to start off with so since I'd already heard a clip of real Emotion on a FFX2 trailer and it was an FF related song I bought Grow Into One.

I was a fan before from "Real Emotion" and "1000 no Kotoba" and "Chase" and then I listened to "Selfish" and "Trust You" and "Gentle Words" and All The Twelve singles and Now I'm just like

I got into her when real Emotion/1000 no kotoba was released. I'm a huge FFX-2 fan and the whole J-pop influence inside the game made me love the songs! And ever since then I've been on her trail! :) She's really great!

I only liked a few of her songs and thought of her as an STD-infested ****.

However, after D.D.D, my opinion changed a little. Now, after Koi No Tsubomi, I can officially say I'm starting to like her a lot! I that song's PV! ^ ^

Her image has never been very appealing to me (sometimes she can be tasteless), but I was a huge fan of her music during ~secret~ era. I can't say I was too fond of any of the singles between the release of ~secret~ and BEST -first things- or the 12 week singles unfortunately. Koi No Tsubomi has completly restored my faith in Ku though. Even though her music is either hit or miss for me and sometimes she comes across as gaudy and skanky, I think she is incredibly hard-working and talented and deserves the success she is currently enjoying.

I Luv the FFX-2 OST and they got me into Kuu.
I've never regretting buying the FFX2 OST CD (and it was damn expensive coz it's taiwan...:P and I bought it long before playing FFX2 LOL)

i dont like any of her older stuff, the only songs i like by her are her more recent songs

honestly, i neither like nor dislike kumi koda... I'm a bit indifferent, that's why I didn't vote :)

the problem is I find the majority of her pre-secret (the album) music generic, unremarkable with a few exceptions... maze, crazy 4 u, cutey honey, and of course real emotion and 1000 no kotoba (which, in my opinion, are still her two best songs). I started to really take notice with hands, which was great, and then most of the songs that followed after were pretty good...

still, out of the twelve weeks of christmas singles, I think only "you" really stands out as excellent. the rest are either average to good...

So I'm in the middle... she doesn't really grab my attention as much as other artists. although I like her personality very much :) she's very sweet.

but I don't like it everytime she tries to be "very sexy" (I can't use the real term i'm thinking, because I don't wanna bash her...) for me, using your body is a cheap and degrading way to make money, unless it's for some sort of female-empowerment thing (like madonna). but it seems like kumi's just using it for the heck of it and not for some personal "philosophy". Videos of So Into You, DDD, the lyrics of Ima sugu hoshii... please!

frankly, the only time I was wowed by kumi was with real emotion, 1000 no kotoba, and hands. She has yet to wow me again... koi no tsubomi was pretty average, in my opinion. Sounds like a momusu or ai otsuka song.

so in summary: I don't like her image. I like her personality. And, in general, I really don't care about her music. I love some songs. The rest will be forgotten in due time :)

and sorry... the covers of her next single just plain suck!

I started to like her when the whole '12 singles in 12 weeks' was all that anyone talked about. The first song I heard by her was 'feel', & it didn't impress me much. But then I heard 'D.D.D.', & I thought it was soo awesome! I started downloading her music, & fell in love with her 'secret' album!

last year, in AHO people were saying so shes a great artist so i D/Led Come with me single and ever since i have been buying her cds :P

a friend of mine sent me Selfish last year.that's how i got into her music.then Love across the Ocean then Believe....now i like all of her songs.and i'm getting my first Koda cd soon.i still like Selfish best and found some new faves like Hot stuff and Shake it up!!

I started to like Kumi when I heard the song from Final Fantasy and that's when I thought she was soooooo0 cool! hehe!

I started to like her just after feel my mind was released but the first song I heard of hers was real Emotion.

I've kinda been on and off with her. When I first heard her I loved her then after Cutie Honey came out I kinda disliked her a little then Butterfly came out and I loved her again. Weird, huh?
