i love her old song...but her new song is bleh...no wonder that her sales declining A LOT!!!
its a pity, cos she has a lot of talent, she need to create something new and fresh

Mai got #7 on the weeklies with 21,061 copies sold...

She seems to be fairly steady lately, with about 20k or so debut, and she rounds out at about 25-30k, ever since her move to NORTHERN MUSIC...

Mai really needs to actually start promoting her releases.

I'd love a performance every now and then but nooo. :/

she never promoting her release by performing it...and its weird for me, she kind of independent artist, she never appear on music station, music japan, pop jam (old music japan), hey!hey!hey!, music fighter, melodix, utaban, etc...

I love Mai, I never knew she had her own Thread... I like her music from the very first song, but she doesn't promote her releases anymore, and that's why she's not doing good in charts

Well, it happens to most artists. She's still pretty popular, I mean she hasn't had a single peak outside the top 10 yet has she? She just isn't selling like she did when she debuted.

I luv Mai Kuraki. That's my gurl. lol My favorite song from her is Tsumetai Uta. :heart Her older are hella good but her new stuff is meh. She shouldn't have switched from GIZA (i think that was her 1st label). They promoted her good and she was putting out great great music while she was there. It's kinda sad to see her selling so low now than what she use to sell but that kinda understandable. She's not being very diverse with her music and she always seem to be on the low profile side which is kinda not working for her in terms of people raging to have her release something. If she wants people to luv her music more and more, she's gotta show her face more and get better tie-ins. Seriously. How many times can she sing for Detective Conan?! @_@

For as long as they keep making Detective Conan.

She needs a new tie-in.

To me Kuraki mai = conan.. and vice versa, when i think of either
