i hope so, i dont care what ppl say, i like ayus neverending singles. though she probably would benefit form a short break i still cant get enough.

It's also good that she's waiting until July I think...quality before quantity. Too much makes people get tired of her.

Anyways, I am excited! It's the start of Ayu's new album and whichever she puts out this year, it will most likely be a part of her tour for next year which I am finally planning to attend for Ayu's 10 year anniversary!

Well... both release singles in July doesn't mean there's a competition involves. Besides, avex has already done that before (kuu's second session and ayu's Startin'/Born To Be, even tho one is a album and the other is a single). I'm pretty sure that ayu and kuu won't be releasing single on the same day anywayz... :P

Well, she didn't have a winter single this year or a fall single last year. and she released A Best which was only remastered and crazy publicized. That's pretty unusual for Ayumi, but she is starting her Tour so this July single seems pretty normal. :)

A BALLADS' situation was kind of like this..

She hadn't released a single since Voyage[?] until &..

but ayu usually release a new single during her tour and in the encore she would sing the new song...unless part of me is the replacement of a new single during the tour.

Hmm.. I was actually hoping Ayu would have more of a break and come back during Autumn maybe?

seriously? I wasn't a fan then, so I don't know what happened when her other compliations came out. But has she ever not had a fall single before, or was 2006 her first? why do you think she decided not to release a fall single last year?

She was supposed to release a mini-album probably with JEWEL as the main promotional song, but then she changed her mind last minute to release a full album. Mini-albums and full albums are categorized differently. It's really fine though that she doesn't release 3+ singles a year because really, quality before quantity. I'm hoping for a good comback this summer.

Regarding a single released at the beginning of each year, Ayu released Secret not even half a year ago, and A BEST 2 last month. To be realistic, the sales aren't that great. She's not as popular anymore in Japan, so it'd make more sense to wait for a later date. There's also part of Me in A BEST 2, so there's no rush for more.
