You are welcome.
To: SheFliesHigher "Fadeless" is a word and in a dictionary. But if you say you seldom use the word, it might be better to change it to "will not fade". As for another part, how about the idea of inserting "for me" ? Leaving here so many things (FOR ME) To tell and talk with |
Ayu always writes such beautiful lyrics and this one is no different.
However many times the seasons may pass Our days are fadeless These lines are really pretty. I can't wait to here the song! |
The lyrics are so touching thanks for the translations
|
it's so touching
my eyes are full of tears now |
mmm...... i think this song is dedicated to someone.....
i mean.... see here.... http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/3070/012ik4.jpg |
^ wow thats so sad, makes me teary while listening to the song now~
|
I made two changes.
To tell and talk with --> For me to tell and talk with We unlinked hands --> We unlinked our hands |
is this friend Natsuki? the one she always puts in the "Special Thanks" art in every album
|
yeh it said in another thread it was a girl named Natsuki(Can't remember her full name>_<) and she was supposedly in the For my dear... pv (The skinny one I think, its what I read)
Its really sad I hope Ayu's not thinking about her friend's death too much, it might be too upsetting and make her stressed T__T "You decided that day That you would walk all alone On the endless road Over that cloud to the sky" I really sounds like a suicide to me seeing as her friend 'decided' and I think Ayu feels guilty about not knowing or not have been able to help her out, its very depressingT^T |
Such sweet lyrics... I understood most of it, but I wanted to read it without mistakes :) I love that part when she wishes to see her again... Made me cry.. thanx for translating:D
|
I believe it was Natsuki, especially since Ayu lists the birthdate of the deceased as 1976 which I believe is the year Natsuki was born. Very nice lyrics.
|
When Ayu's singing in the album, it sounds like she was crying.. :<
|
This has got to be one of the most recycled ayu lyrics ever. It actually matches almost, if not all, items from the "FAQ" joke on how to make an ayu lyrics I made somewhere.
The union thing, separation, roads to follow, omnipresence, lol These lyrics are indeed sad though, I wonder for who did she write this "requiem" to. |
Quote:
The message she was trying to get across was really quite beautiful, and even though the lyrics were predictable [I guess :<], there's still the reasoning behind it to consider... one of her dearest friends passed away and now she's "alone". I think Ayu does reuse a lot of her poetic elements [wings, sky, decisions.. etc] but she reuses them in a way that makes them seem fresh. Unless you're totally against the "recycling" of good material. :< |
no, I'm not against recycling, it's just that when I started reading those lyrics, I thought I was reading winding road +Endless sorrow + something else (I know the message is not the same).
I'm not saying I disliked the lyrics. They're very beautiful and pretty sad indeed. |
Oh.. :/
I think despite all the similarities, Ayu's lyrical works are easy to differentiate from one another... winding road is about journeys or w/e, Endless sorrow is about lifting a loved one up.. etc. If you look at just the surface, I can see where you're coming from though.. |
i know. i love the lyrics for winding road, Endless sorrow, Daybreak, etc. interpretation wise, untitled~for her~ has a totally different meaning. It's just that the overall elements and certain ideas were somewhat simillar to those.
|
^ Agreed. These are very touching and beautiful lyrics but she uses the same phrases and analogies over and over. Not that I mind or anything, though. :)
|
The lyrics is so touching.
|
What a beautiful song!
Thanks for sharing the translation :) |
