I pronounce it Utada. I study Japanese, and it would sound weird to say You-tada within a Japanese coversation. Moreover, I'm Dutch, and in Dutch we don't pronounce U as You.

Why would anyone pronounce it You-ta-da...that's just not correct.

i usually say yoo-tada UNTIL i just found out its supposed 2 be ootada. lols, but i end up sayin U-tada.

A better question would be how people pronounce "Hikki". I'm sure a lot of people say it like "hickey" instead of "hee-kee" like it's supposed to be pronounced.

I get a little irritated when I hear You-ta-da. My friend constantly says her name like and after correct her all the time, she still forgets it lol

before taking Japanese, i've always pronounced it "YOU-TA-DA". but now i saw "OOO-TA-DA".
