It's been painfully slow for me lately. It took me 20 minutes to load the forums at all, then another 20 minutes to load this thread. =\

Yeah. AHS hasn't always been slow for me at all. Most of the time it loaded pretty quickly but for maybe the past month or so it has been really slow so I don't believe this is actually normal for me. I did think, however, that I was the only one experiencing the slowness.

The forum is slow whenever there are more users online than the server can handle. The staff discourage those kinds of chatty threads because they take resources away from the on-topic discussions.

it's pretty fast for me today..
i tried AHS with Internet Explorer yesterday, unlike my usual browser, Firefox and it worked pretty good

i understand. but my point is such chatty threads were removed, and it's still slow. so i guess there must be another reason other than those chatty threads that caused the slowdown.

The record for most users ever online at the same time was broken just 2 days ago, so I'm guessing heavy traffic is the main cause of the slowdown.

there's another reason.... this one makes sense now, since the chatty threads being deleted didn't do so much

So my firefox was being really really slow today...

which means AHS was running EXTREMELY slowly...

so I turned off all avas and signatures, and...wow. It's like...the site has no problems lol.

^I know, I really like avas and sigs because it makes the air skin all colorful.

you can turn them off in the options menu.

My friend does it because he has slow internet. So that's where I got the idea.

ah ok, just did that, hm i guess it's still kinda slow for me since i have a lot of programs open~ @_@ just yesterday i was checking my mediafire files, and for one video i posted here, 407 downloads, though the thread only say about 50 people commented...so the amount of lurkers are :thud

well it's probably cause atm we are having a huge influx of users... like how we broke the most users online stat only last week on the 23rd... I'm not complaining though, the forum still works the majority of the time so I'm still happy :)

AHS gets slow when i post, but everything else works perfectly fine
but i really don't mind because my posts do get where they need to be
