I'm so happy to see Mr.Children there!

I hope she releases something by then or we'll probably end up seeing MW (really does not fit the occasion at all IMO) or an older song performed.

It's not pre-recorded. Ayu usually performs further away from the end of the show (which finishes around 11:45PM) and the hall where Kouhaku is held is not terribly far from where her CDL is scheduled to take place.

Also, I wouldn't be terribly disappointed if she performed the 10th Anniversary Version of Who... at the show this year. I love that song.

So she performs around the beginning, leaves, and then goes to her CDL? Well, that's cool~

pommy48 6th October 2008 03:37 AM

wait..christmas time...GREEN...red and green..christmas :lech

edit: oh that's cool that she just goes off to CDL then

DA1SUK1DAY01691 6th October 2008 03:58 AM

Amuro Namie! Wow. That's cool.

Ikimonogakari, alan, Jero, Aoyama Thelma!!! Wow. Great list. Too bad there's stil no AAA!!!!!! >.< Although it would be understandable since where would you put them? haha.

Where's the traditional enka? I hope they're not mainstreaming this, since I really look forward to Kobayashi Sachiko's performances...

Ayumi27 6th October 2008 04:01 AM

As far as I know, Ayu has her first show of the CDL, THEN Kouhaku performance, and finally the second CDL show. Correct me if i'm wrong

And isn't it an award show also on december 31st? The Gold Record Awards or the Cable...???

Bad Wolf 6th October 2008 04:07 AM

Oh man, Tohoshinki? :laugh Well we know the white team'll probably win...

Huh, TOKIO's gonna be there too... D:

Rei Rei 6th October 2008 04:15 AM

I think this list is not official yet...
From what I understand, this is the "expected" guest list by the producer of the 59th Kouhaku.

AyuGAME 6th October 2008 04:24 AM

YAY!!! alan!!! no stephanie?

mimika 6th October 2008 04:33 AM

I thought that's what it said... ahaha.

Although the new artists would be pretty interesting adds, that's for sure.

Is there a limit to how many NHK adds to the show?

*Being positive* it will be aired in 2 month won't it? Does it mean ayu will perform a new song?

Not as always. They won 4 years ago (where ayu performed moments :)) There was a time where the no. of wins for each side were quite evened out but for the past 7 years, the guys won thrice at each end. Looking at the line up, i think the guys will win again this year... Why doesn't utada hikaru want to join in the fun? Especially since she has an album this year.

By the way does anyone know how they count points or how they judge?

greggerz189 6th October 2008 05:50 AM

Utada Hikaru never goes.

music_* 6th October 2008 06:11 AM

Hmm. Sorry, but can someone tell me what this red team and white team thing is all about? :P

Aderianu 6th October 2008 06:25 AM

What does it mean - Red and White team? Girls and boys?

Bigtop 6th October 2008 06:28 AM

Thanks for sharing! Sure IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT ALL-STAR BATTLE...

summersnow 6th October 2008 06:28 AM

thanks for the info!!

arashi, tokio, ayu, kaela, perfume, mihimaru gt.....
nice lineup!!!

bluegie 6th October 2008 06:43 AM

We dunno... there's a time when red team won a lot. No one really knows what will happen... But if the white team wins again this year, it will be another record. No team has ever won for 4 consecutive years.

And it's not really the actual list... It's just a prediction. But I think the actual list should be pretty close to this one.

Ehh..? I think her first CDL show is always on the 30th, then her second one is on the 31st (and extended to Jan 01... that's when countdown occurs). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think her CDL show (at least the one on the 31st) starts after 10pm or so. She usually performs at Kouhaku in the first part or the very early second part. Then she runs from the NHK building to the arena, which is very close. She practically does that every year since she started CDL.

And she doesn't attend Nihon Record Taisho anymore.. But yes back then she had to rush to the ceremony, kouhaku, and then CDL in a day...

The females represent the red team, while the men represent the white team. Each slot a red team member vs. a white team member (singing... not playing games). I think the judge, the audience and the viewers will vote for the better performance, and the team with more votes wins.

^ Isn't Kouhaku prerecorded?
