I could never actually name specific artists/songs that I hate, because there will always be one song by them that I don't mind

I COULD say I hate Miley Cyrus, but I don't mind her song '7 things' or 'I Miss You'. I loathed her cover of 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' but I think that might be because I'm biased towards another recent cover of it, but come on,
which would you say is the more original (better) remake of the song:
This version
OR
This one

I can honestly say I am not a fan, AT ALL, of Indie music, or that stupid Brit-pop rubbish that's plagueing the British charts. I don't think I could really name a single Brit-pop/Indie band who's music I genuinely appreciate. It's all incredibly boring, perhaps if they made it more complex I might be more inclined to listen, but no, it's just terrible.

Anything by a Disney Artist
Anything by Kanye West

I hate Eddie Murphy's music. I kind of hate him in general, also.

I'm not even a fan of Miley, but I liked hers better. the other girl can't sing that well (not that Miley can either, but w/e).

Girls Aloud! they have some pretty complex and nonboring music. =D

Actually she is a fantastic singer, especially live (2 times:D)
That's not the best example of how fantastic her voice is because let's face it that song quite easy to sing. A better example of her powerful her voice can be would be this:
Gloomy Sunday (Live acapella)

Hmmmm, I don't count them as Indie/Brit-pop
I like Girls Aloud, but I see Brit-pop/Indie as all of those bands that are really soft-rock but they're trying to be rock and it's not working out for them. Indie over here is like Emo in America. But Indie kids aren't hated as much.
Some examples, if I can remember any:
The Strokes
The Stills (I only know them because of my Media Studies class)
The Automatic
Snow Patrol
The Ting Tings

Just stuff like that basically

drewbilation 23rd November 2008 08:11 PM

oh! I totally misunderstood your first post, then. I thought you were saying Britpop AND indie music, lol. but yeah, I don't care too much for any of those bands either, except for a song or two by The Ting Tings and Snow Patrol.

as for the other woman, she does sound better there, but it's not really my type of music, either. =x

Chiharo 23rd November 2008 09:37 PM

I hate anything by The Pussycat Dolls.Just ew.

Yeah, like I said I just find bands like those to be much too simple and generic.

Well, in all honestly, I could never give you one song by her and tell you that that is what she sounds like. Her songs are so diverse, so complex and so different that there will always be at least one that you like. I mean, having single-handedly done everything on pretty much every song, and by everything I mean everything. All the instruments, all the vocals, all the composing, all the lyric-writing, all the producing etc etc

:hi5

I can't stand Lil Rounds' "Im Every Woman" (Studio Version).
Too pitchy and powerful to listen.

Kazeyomi 26th April 2009 09:01 PM

Most of Kana's songs.
Her voice give me headache x_x'

I only like Papichan (her voice fits with the cuteness of the song) and Lolita (her voice is still terrible but I love the arrangement).

I dislike a lot of Nana Kitade's songs too.
Her voice is terrible sometimes, likes Kana give me headaches.

But they're really beautiful models. Indeed. :yes

*edit* Lol I reply already to this thread :D oh well I forgot those two.

But at the minute I'm disliking Miyavi. I don't know why. It's just. I guess I only like 5 songs? I don't know.

I also really dislike The Beatles...The Who...The Jam...Paul Weller.
OMG. That reminds me, my dad is going on and on about Paul Weller's son being a fan of Gackt. ~_~ omg. :(

Oh and thanks whoever put Eat You Up...now it's in my head!!! :@
