I don't think there's anything going on since girls pay around about loving each other and being lesbians. Even if Ayu was gay, who gives a flip? It's her life, she's the one living it and if she's happy, then lets be happy for her.

Do you have any idea how much I'd kill to not be bisexual? Gay people I know think I'm crazy or really gay just in denial, alot of my straight friends think i'm just doing an attention-hungry Katy Perry thing (even before that song they thought it), and every boyfriend I've had (okay not EVERY, but I'd say most) have... well, let's just say they've had fantasies centered around the fact that I'm into girls too. Just about everyone thinks a little bit less of me when they find out. It's rather frustrating for many practical reasons, and often I wish I was just 100% straight so I wouldn't have to deal with it.

If ayu's bisexual or lesbian I can way more understand her hiding it up till this point than her suddently "deciding" to like girls. Seriously - no one in their right mind would choose this for themselves, especially with how people like you & the OP look down upon the lifestyle. Things would be way easier if we had a choice, but we don't. So there. :P

But I think that's one of the reasons for the lyric in GREEN about denial, and then acceptance of the truth - Ayu may well have been in denial about liking members of the same sex for practical reasons, how fans would react, how friends & family would think of her, stuff like that. There are unfortunately alot of reasons to hide homosexual leanings, far more than there are reasons to choose the lifestyle.

It's just that - and I'm sure others in the LGBT community here can agree - there's alot to the lyrics that ring true with us. I listen to it thinking about how much seems to apply to me. Too many of the pieces fit together, and I think alot of us want to believe that ayu can really identify with how hard it's been for us to come out.

To be honest, if (as nikku & guilty_me have hypothesized) she really is just writing the lyrics & making this video to acknowledge her gay & lesbian fanbase, I'll be mad because she's lying to us. She always said she didn't write lies, and I'm hoping this is no exception. It'd be just cruel to us to say "Hey maybe I'm a lesbian... nevermind no i'm not, i was just kidding so you'd like me more". There's nothing about that that's cool, and there's nothing about it that seems like something Ayu would do.


And I think ayu didn't mention Tomoya that much just cuz honestly, they didn't see each other every single day. They hardly saw each other at all compared to how often she & Midoring see each other. And it's been a few days since she mentioned Midoring at this point, so it's not like she's talking about her all the time. But she did call her "MY Midoring" and "daisuki na hito", so. I elect to think that the two of them have something going on.

Well, ayu has made songs in which she's praying to Mary, which most likely isn't her reality, so that wouldn't be the first time she'd make something from assuming to be from a point of view that not necessarily is hers. I wouldn't say she'd be lying, but she'd just be talking about love matters in a broader way. While the GREEN lyrics fit the sexual identity theme (which actually became clear only with the PV), it doesn't mean they only fit that that kind of theme. Reading masa's translation (and removing the "hims" to use a gender neutral pronoun) I still can personally fit those in any kind of platonic relationship, gay or not, and I believe a couple of the straight members could find the lyrics fitting for their love life situations as well.

While I think her lyrics are often personal, I don't think they are always that personal. Sometimes we get quite contrasting lyrics about love relationships in the same album, some with positive lyrics, others with hopelesness. It would be pretty nonsensical of her to have so many mixed feelings all at once, unless she still is the same bag of misery and trouble, which I believe she changed much from her ASFXX/LOVEppears days. For instance, I personally don't think she's talking about Nagase on Days. I think she just made those lyrics out of people who don't have their love corresponded, or maybe out of older experiences she's had, but I personally don't think like many think, that she's been aching for nagase, no!!! :P LOL

This is one of the reasons that makes me really doubt it. ayu had her relationship with Tomoya so in the shadows. Even if she rarely saw him, couldn't she just go : MY TOMOYA? I never saw her talking about him like that. If she were to be in a gay relationship, I'd actually expect her to be far more in the shadows, or at least, act in a simillar way. It's really strange that she'd keep a straight relationship so hidden but a gay one so open and direct. Unless her relationship with Tomoya was a farce in order for ppl not to speculate anything about her, and she didn't feel well about living a ie so she kind of hid it. Of course there's not a rule for relationships, and people can actually feel and behave differently with different people, but I dunno, it still makes me think it's a little unlikely.

Maybe I'm this stubborn lol But it's still kinda the way I think (which doesn't mean I'm right anyway). Hopefully we'll be getting more hints from ayu in the near future, as to either reinforce or refute the possibilities of her having a relationship with Midoring. Or maybe it will just be drown in a neverending wonder 'bout.

oh no...the "how are we born"-argue again, its true that theres no proof for the "we are born bisexual" theory, but theres also no proof for the "we are born heterosexual" or the "we can be born hetero-, bi- or homosexual"-theory, i just think the first one is the most logic one, education,religion and the influence of other people in general make people hetero or straight, millions of years ago when sexuality was no big thing, most "people"(we were no people back then, i think xD) were bisexual(at least some scientist say that, i think we need a time-machine to really know) and in the greek mythology almost everybody was bi xD(and its older than all the bible crap(homo is bad!!!)), at least thats what i think and i dont care if anybody thinks different o.0

I wrote that post with the purest of intentions and very carefully did it in a way that wouldn't offend anyone and that was my intention...but apparently not. I'm confused how it has offended you and I apologize if it did, Delirium-Zer0 and other people who may read it. So what it boils down to is a disagreement in "how people are born" sort of thing. If that's the case I'm not going to pursue this matter any further, being a totally different issue. Just know I didn't mean to offend anyone.

You do make an excellent point about the lyrics though Delirium-Zero and the possibility is there.

Who knows...could go both ways. Maybe it's all just a coincidence and we're just reading into it too much...maybe not. But like you said, Ayu doesn't write fiction (or very much of it to say the least; only 1 song pops into my head). That and the PV was pretty much geared towards the song if you apply what is being discussed right now.

Remember in one of her TA messages that the role was assigned to Midoring, not initially chosen by Ayu. So yes let's all blame Kazuyoshi. While we're at it, we can also blame him for D/G selling less than MW in its first week sales. Who's gonna buy the DVD of a crappy PV :yes.
