Japanese/Korean

Japanese/Korean is the only system that makes sense.

Japanese/Korean definetly. I hate this: "yeah I earn so much money that I haven't to work anymore. I think I will release my next album in 20 years!"

^ Considering how after releasing an album, acts go on tour and inbetween they also work on songs for the next album, I wouldn't call the American acts lazy.

Personally, I prefer the American way.

At first, I liked American/Canadian (have to add Canadian for some Canadian artists do it as well) releases. Then, I discovered Japanese releases which make sense.

I much prefer Japanese releases. A great example of why I don't care for the way American releases are done is Katy Perry. She is still releasing singles from Teenage Dream when it came out two years ago. By the time singles are released from an album in America, I'm sick of the song and so are most people who purchased the album. :headache

^ That Katy Perry chick is still releasing singles from "Teenage Dream"? Goes to show how in tune with American music I am. :P

I voted for Japanese/Korean. I just like their pacing with releases and quality overall. Of course there are a few exceptions.

Japanese/Korean, definitely

LOVE the way the Japanese do music!

Japanese

Japanese. I like singles released first.

AyusakiFan 30th May 2012 06:49 PM

I prefer the Japanese style of releasing. Releasing the singles prior to the album builds up anticipation and offers a glimpse of what the album will sound like. The American way seems so backwards and the repackaging of albums in Korea irks my nerves.
