^ it is already out like 10 days ago in Australia. not sure about Canada tho.
I dont think the follow up album wont be doing as good as Loose did

Delicious n Bold 12th August 2012 11:33 PM

^probably not. I may buy it.
I liked "spirit indestructible" but her nasally voice just screamed Ayu (Love songs)
I wish that the song was more melancholic though.

the album leaked. I can't post any links or such... so find it yourself :P

SURREAL__RAINBOW 13th September 2012 08:49 AM

Is it any good?

Delicious n Bold 13th September 2012 06:51 PM

^ Tracks 1-3 sound awful. Nelly sounds like a nasal mess.
It feels like tracks 4-12 were recorded at a different time (tracks 4-12 on the standard edition, I'm not too sure about the deluxe edition). They're not as nasally as 1-3. I mean, while listening to the album, I said "dang, it feels like her voice has changed a lot since the first song".
Basically, tracks 4-12 are all amazing.
EDIT: nelly only sounds bad in the first 3 songs (I listened to the deluxe edition in full). I don't even know what to say...
The deluxe edition is just... whoa. Why did she start the album with those 3 messy songs? They have great arrangements, but thats about it.

Absolute best Nelly album. MAYBE second to Folklore. I adore the album :D I reviewed it on my blog if anyone is interested. REALLY into it, haven't heard the Deluxe edition yet though. Her vocals ARE quite nasal on the two opening tracks though(those are songs with slightly higher vocal melodies than the rest), I prefer those in live performances.

^ I enjoyed reading your review and I agree with you completely. I'm really impressed with how this album turned out. I was already getting a Folklore vibe back when she released "Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)" as the lead single - not really in terms of musical style but more in the way that she presented herself in the video and in the lyrical content of the song. This album, like Folklore, feels like something that has come naturally to her, and she has a natural gift for writing good quality songs.

Delicious n Bold 14th September 2012 02:57 PM

It's sad that the album may flop. It's just not 'hyped' or 'accessible' or something. But I wanna buy it on the first day it comes out.

adantatu2 16th September 2012 05:32 AM

I love nelly, i listen her music since Folklore!
I really like this album, my favourites songs are: Spirit Indestructible, Parking Lot, Waiting for the Night (the best track IMO), Miracles, Believers and End of the World.

I'm glad she isn't releasing a full electro dance album like the others. I know she isn't going to sell like crazy, but i hope she can reach the top 10

kotora 16th September 2012 06:32 AM

I love Parking Lot.

TITANIC 16th September 2012 02:02 PM

I dont really like the album, Loose still her best album, imo

R_Hikki 20th September 2012 11:46 AM

What do you guys think of the "Parking Lot" video? I'm kind of surprised it's a single in the first place, but the video is quite attractive.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 20th September 2012 11:58 AM

Very M.I.A., I had a hard time identifying Nelly in this song, but overall I like it a lot :)

I still need to buy this album, probably won't anytime soon since I'm saving for Japan U___U Hence I haven't listened to it yet lol

KremlinChaos 20th September 2012 01:50 PM

I love how the album turned out. Her nasally singing doesn't bother me and I love the first three songs. I just hate how there are so many bonus tracks. I hate not being able to have all the songs on one cd.

Dustie 20th January 2013 12:13 PM

Heh, so I've just found out yesterday Nelly's had an album released again :p

I've only briefly listened through it on her official website and I kinda like it. I like how it's dance-pop music, but not really all that much like everything that's on air currently. It's sad to see her flop though, it's strange to see how life can flip 180 so much. I mean, it feels like just yesterday Europe was bouncing to Maneater and the US to Promiscuous, and then the whole world fell for Say It Right.
