never. a good song is good whether it's a cover or 100% original.

utada's fmttm is a cover of a cover of a cover too actually. frank sinatra did it, and then some 70's band did a cover of the song. and then utada's is based off of their less jazzy, more ballady version based off of frank sinatra's. haha

and then we have our youtube utada hikaru fans that like to sing in their videos making it a cover of a cover of a cover of a cover. yay

Nope, in fact I like it ^^

Only when the singer don't make a cover per album 9_9

Miduhyo 11th March 2010 05:11 AM

nope doesn't bother me.

What bother me are the fans that go CRAZY over the fact that its a cover... and crazy in that bad mob-killing-spree way... :no

Well, not really. Maybe I'll think something like "Oh my God, I wish they'd written this!", but in general it doesn't make me annoyed, in fact it makes me happy they chose to cover that song and bring me new music. Some of my favourite songs are covers like Chihiro Onitsuka's cover of Nagoriyuki. :)

I loved Leona Lewis's Run in the past, but then I found out: Run is a track of Snow Patrol. I never had listen carefully to that band and I only knew one track; Set the Fire to the Third Bar

It was disappointed. I really thought Leona Lewis had a masterpiece of a track by herself.
BUT! Her cover was really good! That's why I voted 'No'
