Aw, congrats! :heart

I think SEASONS would work perfectly well.

PoetGirl 26th March 2010 04:41 AM

Congratz! Such a nice idea.
Id go with teddy bear or Curtain call!

me0wie 26th March 2010 04:49 AM

ayu expresses very strong emotions when singing her songs and i think you should avoid the sadder songs like teddy bear. preferably something that conveys a happier, lighter message :)

Congrats on the baby!

LacusClyne 26th March 2010 04:56 AM

well, although teddy bear is a very pretty and soft song, but it's too sad and depressing, not really recommend for an infact.

i would say:

Curtain call
SEASONS
RAINBOW
Dearest

microphone 26th March 2010 04:58 AM

JEWEL because it is simple. Play on low volume, of course...

Congratulations!

Zeke. 26th March 2010 05:40 AM

Then when he/she's born, you can play the orgel collections and/or acoustic orchestra albums for them when they go to sleep!

Abby 26th March 2010 06:22 AM

Oh my! this is so cute!! so special! Congratulations ^0^

Mmm...I'm thinking you might want a song with positive lyrics...even if the baby "can't understand" it would be nice to sing a happy song... the first ones in my mind were HEAVEN or Days...but they're not that "happy". Then it came to my mind...sweet, HONEY? I didn't see it on you're list...and many people don't like it, but :rolleyes I do :o Of course, here I'm recomending you the classical version (MY STORY Classical). It is beautiful.

Besides...check, the lyrics are a good match for you and your baby. He might even sing it to you some day ^^.

Though it doesn't start that much happy =S
Spoiler:

On the days when somehow everything goes wrong
With bad timing
And I almost hate myself

I lose composure
And can hardly be kind to others
And I get more depressed

(*) I might hurt
My dearest person most
In such times

(**) (my HONEY) You are always by my side
You are embarrassingly positive
And walk on leading me by the hand
(my HONEY) You are always by my side
Yes, closer than anyone else
You know me much more than I do

There are also the days
When everything goes so well somehow
That I'm left speechless

And I remember your profile
When you cried together with me
As if it had been your own matter

(***) (my HONEY) Please be my side forever
When I look up, I see your smile
That hasn't changed in years
(my HONEY) Please be my side forever
Yes, closer than anyone else
I know you much more than you do

(*) repeat
(**) repeat
(***) repeat

Other than that...Voyage.
Oh well...any happy, yet peaceful song will do :yes

Good luck!
Lots of good wishes for your family! ^^

MsAiUmE 26th March 2010 07:01 PM

I'd be interested to know how this turns out! This is a very cool concept, and I rather think that the songs that you can use from the list are teddy bear, heaven, and curtain call. I also think no more words would be good.

Good luck and happy blessings to the new family!

Chibi_Venus 26th March 2010 07:44 PM

In my opinion, I bet songs with only a piano (or as few contemporary instruments, guitars, drums, etc as possible) would be best. Therefore, from your list I like... Curtain call, JEWEL, teddy bear, and Voyage.

Although I think the acoustic orchestra version of SEASONS would be a marvelous idea as well. :D

And congratulations to you and your husband on your first child! My best wishes to you both!! :heart

chestergringo 26th March 2010 07:50 PM

I think Voyage...

ストロボ・EdGE 26th March 2010 08:14 PM

Voyage, not only because of the orgel at the beginning, but it gives a children's song feeling to me. It has a simple melody too.

It'll be about two years+ until we know if he remembered the song though right? You can't from an infant after all.

gallowsCalibrator 26th March 2010 09:47 PM

Congratulations!!! :D:D:D

This is a great idea, too ;)

I think that RAINBOW, teddy bear, and Voyage would be good choices :yes

I might just have to try this with my soon-to-be sibling :)

(miss)understood 28th March 2010 04:30 AM

I would say Voyage.

My niece, who was only 2 and barely talking,
She asked what my headphones did. So i put them in her ears and Voyage was playing.

She turned to me and said it was her favorite song. I let her listen to the entire thing, and she was upset when it was over.

She never heard these songs pre-birth, but I think it's neat she had a clear idea that she knew she liked Voyage. It's now her favorite song.
It was really cute.

Lady_Eowyn 28th March 2010 05:50 AM

Moments, jewel and Rainbow would be awesome choices :)

ayu99persen 28th March 2010 11:36 AM

Teddy bear
Jewel
Rainbow

it has good music and good meaning...and ayu always look very cute when sang it

Keiichi_JPU 28th March 2010 12:25 PM

Teddy Bear!

That's such a cute song :) (well.. when you don't look at the lyrics)
And it's quite a simple melody as well. I think it's perfect for a baby!

And I personally like really simple names.. like Mike or Nick. But it's all your personal taste of course.

y_nathz 28th March 2010 12:35 PM

I think instrumental music is better so don't forget to try Princess China Music Orchestra meets Ayumi Hamasaki songs!
It's one of my fav and I never tried this to an infant but my mom loves this and you're a mom too, so maybe it'll make your baby like Asian soundings ? :lech
Stupid reason I know but I think it's a nice album!

As for non-Ayu songs try DBSK's Balloons when your son gots older :lech

Chiharo 28th March 2010 01:00 PM

teddy bear, forgiveness, HAPPY ENDING.

Luvia 29th March 2010 03:04 PM

oh dear.. the songs you have choosen sounded quite sad.. i believe a happier song would be better, like "you", "to be", or "love~destiny" would be a better choice!

adantatu2 29th March 2010 10:09 PM

Rainy day or RAINBOW
