People forget tho, having posters all over Japan is one thing but ayu's music is all over Japanese TV so I'd say she's getting plenty of promotion

You do realize that right now AKB48 is currently promoting their best album, right? Of course Ayu's promo isn't going to be big right now. She isn't the only artist in J-Pop.

I miss the promo from the (m)u era! She really didn't need the promo then either, but it was immaculate. *_*

The patheticness of the promo recently has been more due to the fact that it all falls JUST before her tour starts for 2009 and 2010, so... promo has been slim to none for her albums.

I think even Sunrise/You were... had more "promotion" than the last two albums, haha.

So far I haven't seen any promo outside of that billboard in Shibuya. I think the most important place to promote is inside the train stations - that's what people see every single day. They are much more likely to see that than to see her on a music tv program.
