I like the chorus, but the verses are messy. Hopefully they will sound better in HQ.

Ranma Matsuri 6th May 2011 04:36 AM

Ugh... really?

Back to Ai/Reina + their back up dancers/singers, non-Genki song, the new favorite getting lines but not a single line for the other kyukkies... this is just one gigantic facepalm.

mellody 7th May 2011 03:48 AM

Forget about Only You for now, watch Momoiro Sparkling PV!

Cute and colorful PV, love the jumping scenes :heart
But the song is kinda boring...

Also, May 7th means, Happy Birthday Konkon :heart

RyRyMini 7th May 2011 04:12 AM

I actually like the PV even though it's standard for H!P. The song isn't as great..I feel like it's more of a b-side or albums song. T_T

milky_way 7th May 2011 05:07 AM

I actually like the song :yes

visionfactory 7th May 2011 06:10 AM

Some idol group who recently released a PV used exactly the same doors, in the same position as ºC-ute, I can't recall the name of the group yet

wildconnetta 7th May 2011 08:39 AM

I like the PV. So cute!!!!! Kawaii~:love

The song is awesome too. LOVE :blove

visionfactory 8th May 2011 04:20 AM

The song is fine, the PV looks so cheap.....

Aspen 8th May 2011 07:13 PM

Don't know if it has already been posted, but it seems that there will be auditions for the 10th generation of MM in June.

It's somehow really fast, maybe he isn't satisfied with the recent additions...?

visionfactory 9th May 2011 05:22 AM

^ I guess that's it, he is not sure if the girls are good enough to maintain the group status/sales

Morning Musume March Ranking:
1 Ai Takahashi
2 Sayumi Michishige
3 Riho Sayashi
4 Reina Tanaka
5 Mizuki Fukumura
6 Erina Ikuta
7 Kanon Suzuki
8 Risa Niigaki
9 Aika Mitsui

Amrai-chan 9th May 2011 06:32 AM

That has to be it. I wonder what the sales are going to be like once Ai leaves since she's been there for so long.

I don't mind auditions just as long as we get some girls with personality then it's fine.

tokyoxjapanxfan 9th May 2011 06:44 AM

Momusus link isn't working blah haha
But I really do wonder what'll happen once ai and reina leave...

mellody 9th May 2011 09:59 AM

Back when Eri graduated, their next single (45th single) dropped around 10k, I don't remember how popular Eri back then. Then, Takahashi will leave the group later, I think the sales will dropped so hard.

We know Gaki will become the next leader but wow, she's not that popular compared to 9th generation recently.

Yeah, other groups have proven that talent means nothing, so I'd rather get some girls who are fun. Cute would be more beneficial than actual talent at this point.

Btw, the official statement:
Quote:

Morning Musume is taking applications for the 10th generation auditions. To help boost Japan's spirits, we are looking for girls who love bright songs and have pride in their smiles!

tokyoxjapanxfan 9th May 2011 01:07 PM

Ohhh does that mean more happy uptempo songs?! haha.

I'd like another go girl ~koi no victory~ xD
Though I don't think anything could ever touch that songs awesomeness... :P

But it's interesting about the sales drop after Eri left >_<

visionfactory 10th May 2011 12:32 AM

I think the sales drop has nothing to do with Eri, Majidesuka was such a weird song, I mean the tempo thing, they are trying to do ska after all, but wotas are not used to these kind of songs...

RyRyMini 10th May 2011 03:54 AM

Their lowest selling singles as of late have all been positive/happy songs (Mikan, Seishun Collection, Maji desu ka Ska!). I don't think it's a coincidence.

jeffycue 10th May 2011 09:18 AM

^ i just hope they bring someone a little bit older.. but im not complaining with the 9th gen. i love them!

I personally think their best bet is to just focus on talented girls with big personalities. There's plenty of cute girls in H!P more so than I see in other idol groups and tbph, though I love/like most of them there's only a few I'd call genuine talents. They can certainly use more.

Though I love the fresh youthfulness of 9th gen, I'd really like to see some older-upon-entry girls in Momosu like Yuko Nakazawa. The target age limit is 19 though. :/ I really don't think that an H!P kids group should be older than the flagship even by a little. :tired

visionfactory 12th May 2011 04:37 AM

I don't understand why Tsunku always pick up 12-13 y.o. girls......

tokyoxjapanxfan 12th May 2011 12:26 PM

I'd assume a huge reason behind that would be because the older generations knew Momusu when they were more "in"--and now that their not "in" anymore, there's no drive to audition.

Younger girls may see it as a big opportunity, but for older girls, it just might not seem worth it.

Which means the pool to draw members from would be a lot younger.

Although, that's just my own thinking...

Bigtop 18th May 2011 08:28 AM

Umm... Excuse me, but I don't think Hello-Online accepts hotlinking, and that may also violate AHS rules...?

Spoiler:
Quote:

WHAT IS HOTLINKING AND BANDWIDTH THEFT?

Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a website's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an <IMG> tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, journal, weblog, forum posting, etc.

Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred from a website to a user's computer. When you view a webpage, you are using that site's data transfer to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over it's monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.

A simple analogy for bandwidth theft: Imagine a random stranger plugging into your electrical outlets, using your electricity without your consent, and you paying for it.
(Definition copied from altlab.com)
Hotlinking to images and videos is against the AHS rules. DO NOT link directly to any files stored at sites other than your own.

This means that you cannot post links like this at AHS:
If you want to re-post an image or file this is what you can do:
  • Post a link to the site, but not the file.
  • Download the file to your computer and then re-upload it to your own site.
  • Download the file to your computer and then re-upload it to a free hosting site like www.yousendit.com or www.imageshack.us.
  • Upload the image to AHS as an attachment.
  • Ask a staff member for help.

Under no circumstances should anyone be directly linking to pictures and other files hosted by (or uploaded by, in the case of YSI, MU, etc links) someone else.

Posts containing hotlinks will be deleted or edited, without notice, at the discretion of the staff.

If you have any questions regarding this policy, or if you need help hosting a file please just ask a staff member.

visionfactory 20th May 2011 01:28 AM

^ Finally Captain is looking like a girl!

http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/r...oso/s_051l.jpg

Limited A - this one is surprisingly good!

Limited B - this one is the worst, why everyone is so small -.- it's ridiculous, they are not AKB48

Limited C - I love Riho but she does look awkward in this (plus I don't think she is pretty enough to be that big and she lacks of facial expressions, but I'm glad it's not Ai/Reina this time!)

Regular - WTF?! Why Aika is not in the corner, that doesn't look good! the shortest member shouldn't be on the corner!!

RyRyMini 20th May 2011 03:40 AM

Most of them are jacked up. Like Riho's too big in C otherwise it'd be good. And all of the members of the top row in B are too small. I guess regular's okay, but Kanon & Ikuta are becoming the new JunLin very fast. :x

mellody 20th May 2011 09:32 AM

Bigger covers are here.

jeffycue 20th May 2011 12:39 PM

riho is WIN!!!

Aspen 20th May 2011 07:57 PM

Nothing against Riho, but while I appreciate her talent she somehow lacks in the charisma department. She's pushed too hard and Kanon or Mizuki seem far more appealing to me, though it's not Riho's fault that she's getting on my nerves already.

One the plus side, the overall style of the covers is nice ~

milky_way 20th May 2011 08:10 PM

Ai, that blonde hair is just :no

jeffycue 21st May 2011 01:05 PM

riho is my 9th gen fave. so im happy that she's getting the same treatment as my reina. hahaha. but yeah, i kinda wish tsunku would go back to where everybody can shine.

2 Riho Sayashi
3 Sayumi Michishige
4 Erina Ikuta
5 Kanon Suzuki
6 Reina Tanaka
7 Mizuki Fukumura

9 Risa Niigaki

I don't see the need of Reina being a center girl anymore... :innocent

jeffycue 23rd May 2011 07:59 AM

whats the ranking for? i mean, do japanese vote there?

SunshineSlayer 23rd May 2011 10:44 AM

^ It's the ranking of which member sold the most amount of merchandise for April.

jeffycue 23rd May 2011 12:13 PM

oh! from the official H!P shops and/or in concerts? wow! riho is so high up!

mellody 23rd May 2011 06:31 PM

The next leader is the unpopular one? Wow.

Amrai-chan 30th May 2011 02:21 AM

^ That. Hopefully things go better when she is actually leader.

RyRyMini 31st May 2011 12:19 AM

They're figures from just one of the official shops, so they're not totally indicative of popularity. Plus some members usually have stock issues which affect their ranking because the supply doesn't meet the demand.

milky_way 1st June 2011 09:41 PM

Surprised at how much I like Only You. I guess I should start learning the new girls' names :laugh

Anyway she is always at the very bottom with Aika :no I know it's hard to admit that an old member is one of the least popular in the group, I love Risa so much she deserves more love!!

*Petit* 13th June 2011 07:41 PM

Nothing's going to change when she becomes leader, it never does.

Good that the new members are making a splash, nothing could be better for the group after aika and junlin, that never really made it to any sort of prominence sadly (or at least it seemed to be like that). I can't wait to thear yamete yo shinbad in HQ! Love ths single!

mellody 14th June 2011 04:44 AM

Riho even defeat Airi and our current leader, wow.

Also, idk why captain is so...
4 Berryz members is in above 20.

jeffycue 14th June 2011 09:34 AM

wah! Only You is on H!O already... but i dont have torrent access now! waahh! i want the single now!

I think she doesn't have much merch in H!P store, because she's signed with Universal and I don't happend to find lots of official store pics from her

It would be too sad if she was in that position really...

*Petit* 15th June 2011 08:12 PM

^
Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. I'm not really 100% sure how it works with kikkawa though, apparently she appears @ H!P concerst... I have no idea to be honest and I think you'd ahve to be in japan to get the full picture. :)

RyRyMini 15th June 2011 09:36 PM

She doesn't appear in H!P concerts - she's not even an official member of H!P, just Up Front. She opened for the winter concerts with her various songs but her performances were not put on the DVDs.

jeffycue 16th June 2011 02:50 AM

i TOTALLY LOVE AKB and I wanted to start with H!P where I should start?

Ranma Matsuri 23rd July 2011 04:46 AM

^Depends on your tastes but it's always good to start with the main groups since there's been so many sub-units. I'd personally recommend:

Morning Musume- Love Machine, Renai Revolution 21, The PEACE!, Sou da! We're ALIVE, Go Girl~Koi no Victory~, Nanchatte Renai, and Resonant Blue

Berryz Kobo- Piriri to Youkou!, Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance, Special Generation, Munasawagi Scarlet, Otakebi Boy WAO!

S/mileage- Yume Miru 15sai, Suki Chan, Uchouten Love

Buono!- Bravo Bravo!, MY BOY, Renai Rider, Honto no Jibun, Rotarra Rotarra

(you'll have to ask someone else about C-ute and Mano because I don't really listen to them)

milky_way 23rd July 2011 03:46 PM

C-ute: Tokkaiko Junjou, Kiss me Aishiteru, Massara Blue Jeans, Edo no Temari Uta II, Meguru Koi no Kisetsu

ETA:

I want to rec these too:

Berryz: Jiriri Kiteru, MOON POWER, Ryuusei Boy, Otoko no ko

Momusu: Onna ni Sachi Are, Ambitious! Yashinteki de ii jan, Shabondama, Iroppoi Jirettai, Only you

High King's single is pretty good too :yes

mellody 24th July 2011 07:56 AM

Mano Erina, starts with her new single My Days for You and 1st album.

EDITED:
I think you should try some Buono! songs and newly fresh soloist Kikkawa Yuu debut single.

As for Morning Musume, their 10th album (titled 10 MY ME) is a good start, I guess.

Also for C-ute, their first and fourth album are perfect for casual listeners.

So, Momusu will releasing a new album on October, that's so early I think.
Anyway, I kinda excited for the album.

Limited Edition - http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=EPCE-5809
Regular Edition - http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=EPCE-5809

Also, I think they give different bonus now, it's said that the first press bonus will be two different photo cards, All members version and Takahashi Ai version. Plus the DVD content has a music video of a solo song of Ai Takahashi "Jishin Motte Yume Motte Tobitatsu kara."

As expected, Aichan will got special treatment before departure.

Ranma Matsuri 27th July 2011 09:35 PM

Surprise, surprise. Yet ANOTHER rushed album release to milk the graduation cow. I suspect no less than two Ai solos will be on it as well.

Pass. Again.

visionfactory 27th July 2011 09:55 PM

It's exciting, it's gonna be kyuukie's first album!!

Does somebody knows the exact date of Ai's graduation?

mellody 28th July 2011 02:22 AM

Not sure about exact date, it's just "Autumn" which could be September, October, or November. Since the album will be released in October, so I guess it's around October or November.

visionfactory 28th July 2011 11:43 AM

lol when Maji desu ka Ska came out I thought that was her last single...

Mirai Noah 28th July 2011 05:50 PM

I've read that her graduation is September 30th.

SunshineSlayer 29th July 2011 03:12 PM

Yes, her graduation date is September 30th at Budokan. It's the last date of the tour and even the tour has been named after Ai-chan. Personally I think all the attention is deserved since she in many ways has carried the group for 10 years.

Mirai Noah 29th July 2011 06:33 PM

^ I agree (plus Ai's my favorite member...)

I totally agree. And also, she's a good and reliable performer with a considerable following compared to most of H!P memebers that from the company's point of view probably is worth giving a shot post graduation in a way that they haven't since Rika left with biyuuden waiting for her. that's what I HOPE at least!!!! :(

Nu-NRG 30th July 2011 11:05 AM

I'll stop supporting MM once Risa and Sayu goes ...Ai will remain the best leader of MoMusu and talented/beautiful in every way! I'm really sad that she is going but graduation is bound to happen and she can't be in the group for forever. She better go solo!!
*still pissed off at tsunku for not letting the pandas to shine more* sigh :no

I like her too and it is deserved, but I don't think she carried the group in her first couple years. She didn't really stand out much then to me, personality wise. She played dumb and innocent a lottttttt during the beginning of her time in MM (and I don't blame her for that). I know on TV shows she eventually got more attention than the other three that joined around the time she did, but I'm not convinced she was the main focus until the second half of her tenure.

SunshineSlayer 2nd August 2011 08:01 AM

^ Of course at the time that the 5th generation joined, there were still many other famous members in the group. But even still, she was given major parts in all the songs from her second single with the group on and as each member left one by one as far back as from 2002, her role in the group became larger and larger because, lets face it, she was the best singer and dancer of the bunch.

jeffycue 3rd August 2011 03:48 AM

i still cant get over the dance sequence for Moonlight night. compared to what they did back in pikapika concert. ZOMG! this is WIN!

mellody 3rd August 2011 05:17 AM

Now it's time for Berryz!

^ I was just coming to post that, haha!

I can't believe it's her last single either, and she's leaving with two mediocre songs... =( at least she got a decent solo song.

These PV's look pretty crazy, lol XD

^ I'm not crazy about the songs, but the PVs are miles better than they have been since about 2006. They really remind me of the old HP PVs.
