personally I think it's the worst hoot stage ever. I hate it so much. I'm also tired of them reusing those outfits. the performance itself wasn't bad.. dancing was on point and vocals were too.. but the stage and outfits are just super bland.

I personally don't understand why anyone would say that. What evidence do they have to support the claim that they aren't doing well in Japan? Here are FACTS about how successful they are in Japan:

I don't see anything unsuccessful about any of their activities in Japan. Whoever is saying that needs to get their facts straight first before making statements that they can't back up with proof.

A Japanese release of HOOT is up for preorder now. It comes in four editions: regular edition, limited pressing, limited edition, and deluxe edition. I'm really tempted to get the deluxe edition for the DVD footage and goodies. But like you, I already have all of the music so it's not really a practical purchase for me. The only thing I can think of is to sell my Korean version of HOOT but I don't know if I want to let it go, lol. And with it coming out the same day as Ayu's album and the Dream ON single, I don't think I can afford it during that time. I don't know what to do.

The deluxe edition is now sold out on CDJapan. It is still available at YesAsia but at the rate it's selling, who knows how much longer it's going to be before they are sold out of their preorders for the deluxe edition as well. The preorder links haven't even been up for two days and they're gone (take that SNSD-haters, lol). I panicked and preordered it at YesAsia a couple of minutes ago. If I change my mind, I'll just cancel it or I might sell my Korean version if the Japanese version is really similiar to it. Either way, I'm super excited about their success in Japan.

I don't know.. I think I'll pass. if they were in Japanese I'd get one.

Nah, 12/22 seems to be just a day when a lot of winter albums are releasing. It's a few days before Christmas so it ensures that people will be gifting these and sales will be decent.

I got really confused when I first got into kpop too, the whole mini-album/repackage/music shows/comeback system was seriously confusing .. And announcing a FULL ALBUM one week before the release date gave me a heart attack the first time it happened .. But it's fun once you understand the basics of it :yes

i just opened my issue of Billboard Magazine that just came today to find a giant picture of SNSD staring at me. #unexpected (it mentions that in Japan, "Genie" has sold 98,000 copies while "Gee" has sold 80,000)

Those numbers are a LOT less than what Oricon is reporting, but these numbers are according to the label, so I guess Oricon really might be inflating numbers....

I'm sad about the hoot promo ending too :( it's true we did get a lot of performances, but a lot weren't complete without Tiffany
