lol she changed 'I don't wanna work at the weekend' into 'I don't wanna love at the weekend' XD
I love this album :heart :heart Melting and Choitashi Life are just so-so to me, but the rest is great :D I even started liking Bambi XD |
^ LoL glad you like Bambi
I reeeaaallllyy like it!! It's so fun to be sing with!! :D :D Hey Baby! is just too shooooorrrttt!! |
01. Prologue to Dejavu - Pretty nice, but she's singing Deja Wu at the end, that's annoying me. ;_;
02. POP DIVA - Grew on me so much. Still a bit ew at the chorus, but the rest is awesome. 03. Lollipop - Still great, a summer song for me. 04. Okay - Already one of my favourites songs! :heart 05. 逢いたくて - So much emotion! Wow, grabs my heart! 06. Passing By - Love the piano meldoy in the background! Too much engrish, but other than that, nice. 07. AT THE WEEKEND - Hm, have to listen to it more often. Doesn't make click with me with first listen, though the melody and the chrous are really nice. Will probably love it some time later. :laugh 08. Interlude - Sounds pretty similar to the Prologue. Probably on purpose. Nothing mindblowing. 09. Melting - Ok, not my kind of song. Too boring for me, but the end is really cute, aww. 10. Hey baby! - Every time I hear it, I wanna sing along. The chorus is perfection. 11. ちょい足しLife - Don't know why, but I really like it! Relaxing and smooth song, lifts up my mood. 12. あなただけが - Makes me sad, still really beautiful. 13. 好きで、好きで、好きで。 - The chorus is stucking in my head. A bit repetetive, but I like it. 14. Bambi - Love it! So fun and catchy! And unique for Kuu with that country feel. 15. I Don't Love You !?? - Antoher song I instantly love! Does somehow has a retro feeling, so 90s. Summary: Pretty consistent album for Kuu. Most R&B and urban songs since her first three albums. Really love the overall feeling and I even like all the ballads this time! The only song I could do without is Melting. The rest of the album is on a good quality level. Love it! :heart :heart |

At the Weekend, they changed it.

@Rika: trust me, how much you hate melting.. you're gonna sing along when you're at the concert XD

My random take on Dejavu :yes
Prologue to Dejavu - It sounded so much more different than that I expected. I love the way it led into POP DIVA so perfectly. <3 I really like it. POP DIVA - Still a great song to dance to! I've held back from hearing it in HQ since I first heard the LQ version, and it sounds so much better. Lollipop - Hasn't got old for me yet :laugh Cute, fun song. Okay - I love the intro, very R&B and different from the rest of the first few songs. I was expecting there to be a big chorus but there wasn't. But still isn't boring, however that stopped it becoming one of my favourites. 逢いたくて - Her voice sounds great in this! Another sweet little ballad from Kuu, but not up there with MOON CRYING for me personally. Passing By - Really like the piano! Kuu's voice and the guy's really match, I surprisingly liked it. Very R&B, and the engrish wasn't too grating. AT THE WEEKEND - To me, it sounds like the album's ECSTASY/TABOO song. Really catchy, toned-down song. Interlude - Created with the same creative thought that went into the Prologue, nothing too different but still a nice interlude that fits in with the album theme and leads out from AT THE WEEKEND to Melting really nicely. Melting - Really cute song, leads into Hey baby! really well too - alot of thought went into the song placement in this album :yes Not a favourite but it flows within the album. Hey baby! - Another "I can so dance to this!" feel song, I like the electro beats and the chorus is catchy~ It's a little too short for my liking though, I wish it was longer. ちょい足しLife - The intro is really cool, but the rest of the song is so-so for me. I feel like I've heard it a million times before, and it's a little too repetitive for me. あなただけが - I love this~ I was humming along to it by the time the second chorus played. A great RnB ballad. 好きで、好きで、好きで。 - I can never overplay this. I've always loved her vocals in this song. Bambi - A really different song from Kuu; I usually dislike most country songs but her voice really suits the genre, and it's just too adorable :heart I Don't Love You !?? - It's a cool, retro song :heart Really like the chorus! One of my definite favourites from Dejavu from the first listen. Summary~ Although doesn't beat TRICK or Black Cherry for me, there's some great songs in here and it's cohesive in the quality of the songs. No songs that I'd use to "represent" Kuu jump out at me - but it's an album I'll be putting on repeat all day. Love it. 8.5/10. |

Hearing it live it will be much better. Chu, chu, chu, chudu! ♫ |
I'm just downloading the album and then I'll listen to it a couple of times before saying any opinions on it. Of course there's no doubt that I wouldn't love it into bits but anyway. x)
|
As of right now, I don't like the beginning of the album. haha. Until Melting, it seemed rather "meh" to me. Nothing stuck out too too much. But Melting → I Don't Love You!?? is really good :D
Also, I don't like the intro or interlude... they don't add anything to the album for me :-\ Although Im sure there will be people with complete opposite opinions. I just don't personally like songs like Lollipop, POP DIVA, etc. |
It's not the best Kumi's album...
But i love At the weekend and Bambi |
Awesome album! love it!
|
I'm in the process of listening to Dejavu so I'll comment on it later.
I was listening to audio rips of Billboard Live yesterday (because... well, where I can download DVD from? ugh) and I was pleasantly surprised, her vocals were usually on the point. I couldn't get off a feeling during some songs, that she was... lazy singing them? I don't know if that word describes my thoughts. I hate when she's singing in a slower tempo. And I thought if it's kind of unplugged live, then we can expect different arrangements... And they weren't there. I loved how SWEET MEMORIES sounded there though, that "tatatat" sound effect bugs me so much in the studio version. 0-ji Mae no Cinderella was fantastic and BE MY BABY made me want to be here. Can't wait to watch this! |
I liked the album, it's not the best, but it's a good album at all.
1. Prologue to Dejavu 4/5 - (I really love the intro but I cant see a full version for this) 2. POP DIVA 5/5 3. Lollipop 5/5 4. Okay 4/5 5. 逢いたくて 4/5 - (Totally surprise to me, I didn't liked at P3DMS but studio version is really good) 6. Passing By 1/5 - (I dont like the male voice, I hate he screaming at the end) 7. AT THE WEEKEND 3/5 - (It's a good song but I didn't liked the change "I don't want your love / I don't need your love". And lacked fierceness in the vocals, to me :~~) 8. Interlude to Dejavu 4/5 9. Melting 4/5 10. Hey baby! 10/5 :love 11. ちょい足しLife 2.5/5 - (Too WIND / Comes up to me) 12. あなただけが 5/5 13. 好きで、好きで、好きで。 5/5 14. Bambi 4/5 15. I Don't Love You !?? 5/5 - (I really enjoy this one, but It's not a good way to end an album) |
After first listen this album doesn't leave me a good impression... up-beat tracks are weak, cutesy tracks are weak, singles blew new songs out of the water. At least there's Hey baby!...
Maybe it'll be a grower... Let's see. Does anyone have audio rip of Aitakute from Panasonic Live? Audio version from Dejavu is completely bland and ruined the song for me. Quote:

Bambi PV - http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjQ2NzY3NjY0.html
So cute OMG ♥ I REALLY loved! She's beautiful, and the guys are pretty cute! |
Aww the Bambi pv link doesn't work for me.. I hope someone uploads it somewhere else along with Passing By!
My review... 01 Prologue to Dejavu - 4/5 - I really like it.. the oh woah's are ♥ and how it leads to POP DIVA 02 POP DIVA - 3/5 - It's grown on me but I prefer the live performances 03 Lollipop - 5/5 - Still love it ♥ 04 Okay - 5/5 - Reaaally love this, it sounds so lovely 05 Aitakute - 5/5 - Sounds sooo beautiful, even better than the Panasonic live 06 Passing By 4.5/5 - REALLY love this too but that guy's voice -_- lol 07 AT THE WEEKEND - 3/5 I prefer the new lyrics but overall the song lacks something to make it awesome like her other dance tracks 08 Interlude to Dejavu - 4/5 - I'm a sucker for the Engrish and OH OH's 09 Melting - 1/5 - I only like the La la la... bit 10 Hey baby! - 5/5 - ♥ ♥ 11 Choitashi Life - 0/5 - Why the heck is she yelling throughout the whole song? & way too repetitive 12 Anata Dake ga - 5/5 - Eargasm all the way 13 Suki de, Suki de, Suki de. - 5/5 - It's grown on me sooo much, love it ♥ 14 Bambi - 5/5 - Loved it from the live, still love it! This is how I like you cutesy Kumi 15 I Don't Love You!? - 4/5 - Reaaally like this! The chorus is awesome Overall - 4/5 I LOVE the ballads on this album, the singles, Hey baby!, Bambi and I Don't Love you!? and they make up for the disliked songs. Didn't top UNIVERSE for me but it will probably grow on me a lot more later. I'm still suprised there's no bonus track of any kind. That's a first ever for her albums I think + OMG the booklet pics look amazing! I can't wait to get mine |
Bambi PV is really cute, what a shame is so cheaply made. I even liked the song
|
from the album tracks that I listen , I can definitely say that I like them so much more than UNIVERSE (which was so meh for me to handle ~_~)
The ballads are solid , Hey baby ! is *__* but it's so short ;__; |
Bambi's PV is adorable :heart the guy looks better with his hair down though XD
|
My review~
Prologue to Dejavu - umm underwhelming intro. I usually like putting her intros on repeat but this is like.. just meh. 0/10 POP DIVA - I still can't get past the really annoying chorus to this. I'll give it a 5/10 just for the verses. Lollipop - this one has a weak chorus as well but it's still good. I don't feel like listening to it much but it's not bad. 7/10 Okay - One of my favorites!! totally love this. I'll be having it on replay a lot. Kuu really doesn't need all that autotune though 8/10 逢いたくて - Very beautiful and simple ballad. Her vocals are so beautiful here. 9/10 Passing By - I think this would be so much better with only Kuu's vocals. that guy kind of brings it down a bit :/ still, kuu sounds beautiful here. there's a lot of engrish but it's not bothersome in this track. 8/10 AT THE WEEK END - This should have been a single instead of POP DIVA, it's soo much better and stronger <3 SO HOT. 10/10 Interlude to Dejavu - seriously kuu, if you're going to have interludes like this then just don't bother. 0/10 Melting - It reminds me of her older fun cute songs like girls. I love the chorus. it loses points because of that kissy noise though lol. 7/10 Hey baby! - I was so disappointed this song wound up being so short :( It's still good and catchy though. 8/10 ちょい足しLife - This too reminds me of her older cute songs that didn't used to go overboard with their cuteness to the point where it made me cringe. I really like this. 8/10 あなただけが - Her vocals are so beautiful here. I really like this ballad! 8/10 好きで、好きで、好きで。- I'm tired of this ballad. It's too repetitive to me. I never really want to listen to it. At least her vocals are nice though. 6/10 Bambi - Worst on the album, and just became my least favorite kuu song. Her voice does not suit this and it's super annoying. 0/10 I Don't Love You !? - So catchy & fun. I really like this! 9/10 Not sure what I'd rate the album as a whole..but I'll just say I love over half of the album and I haven't been able to say that about one of her albums since Kingdom. It's definitely on a whole other level than TRICK & UNIVERSE and I'm really happy about that. It's not perfect, but I think the amazing songs (like Aitakute, ATW, IDLY) make up for the bad ones (Bambi, POP DIVA). nice job kuu~ |
I love the Bambi PV, it's so cute and funny!
|
I liked the album, which surprises no one :laugh
I could've done without the Interlude though... |
Trying not to read all the reviews before I listen to it myself...
Also, why is Ienai yo not preformed on the Billboard Tour? It would have fit perfectly, and I love that song... |
I really love Dejavu. <3
Prologue to Dejavu Surprising, because it was so different. I was hoping something like Step Into My World, INTRODUCTION FOR TRICK and INTRODUCTION are but this was very epic after the first shock. But I like the difference anyway quite a alot. I love the ending very much because it's like a intro to POP DIVA. 9/10 POP DIVA Everyone knows I love this song like many others too. This song is a perfect way to start an album. Honestly, it's catchy, awesome. I enjoy listening to it. 10/10 Lollipop At first I thought this doesn't work perfectly, but now that I listened to it, I realized it's good as the third track on the album. And everyone knows I love this song very much ever since I heard it on Gossip Candy, right? So I'm not saying anything else. 10/10 Okay That LQ radio rip whatever it was didn't do any justice for this song. When this started, I totally fell in love with it. I really love songs like this from Kuu. Awesome new song, and I like it how it's calming down the upbeat hype that I got from POP DIVA and Lollipop. Okay is more calmer. :) And does that guy on the background say "do do do what you got b.i.t.c.h"? To me it sounds like that. 10/10 Aitakute I have loved this song from the day I heard the live version. So far it's Dejavu's most played new song, and I can't even express in words how much I love this R&B love song. I'm into Kuu R&B. 10/10 Passing By Surprised me a bit lol. :D I didn't expect it to be this good. Immediately it became one of the best Kuu songs ever released. So much english in this o.o And she sounds good at it, I can almost understand what she says x3 10/10 AT THE WEEKEND Sounds like TABOO to me, and is very hot to me. I love her lower vocals on this, sounds so hot~ 10/10 Interlude to Dejavu She didn't sing that much on this. I thought she's sing more. Oh well, at least it flows perfectly from AT THE WEEKEND to Melting. 9/10 Melting I loved this song the moment I heard it's live version from Panasonic 3D Live. Upbeat pop that makes me feel so much better whenever I hear it. 10/10 Hey Baby! It's so short. :D I thought the full version is about 3 minutes long, but it's shorter than that. For a minute I thought it's not a full version but I guess it is. I love it very much. It already has 100 plays in my last.fm library. x) 10/10 Choitashi Life Sounded different to my ears. It did bring blue skies to my mind for some reason. Maybe it was the music itself. It was like I could listen to it when being on a airplane flying somewhere. o.O Oh well, very good song anyway. 10/10 Anata dake ga :heart 10/10 Suki de, suki de, suki de :heart :heart :heart 10,000,000/10 Bambi I love this as well. Different, country vibe song that makes me wanna jump all around the walls. I can't wait for her to sing this on Dejavu Tour. <3 10/10 I Don't Love You !?? This song is very good closing track for this album. 10/10 Summary Stand outs: Passing by, AT THE WEEKEND, Choitashi Life, Bambi, Hey baby! Also, this album could be her best since Black Cherry and Kingdom imo, because I haven't been waiting for a Kuu album so desperately for years. :) Every track is very special and there's no song that I just don't like. Interlude and the Prologue gives me an movie feeling for some reason, and thus they are both epic. So I'd say it's simply 10/10 for Dejavu from me. <3 I sound like a fangirl. <3 |
every track is amazing.
easily one of my favorite Kuu albums. |
GREAT
-Prologue to Dejavu -POP DIVA -Lollipop -Okay -Passing By -AT THE WEEKEND -Interlude to Dejavu -Melting -ちょい足しLife -あなただけが GOOD -逢いたくて -Hey baby! -好きで、好きで、好きで。 NEEDS TO GROW ON ME -Bambi -I Don't Love You!?? Overall, I think the album is a very slight upgrade from UNIVERSE. It was worth the wait. The album also made me LOOOOVE POP DIVA omfg!!! HOT! <3 |
I like the album :D It's great and FINALLY the full version of Hey baby!! :thud
I love it :luv2 :luv2 The Bambi PV was so cute! |
Um..... Is it just me or is the beginning of the Intro a complete rip off of Pendulum's Genesis?! I absolutely adore Pendulum so this kinds of really pisses me off if they didn't get proper credit...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyGMTU2VgLY |
Passing by <3
I don't love you ?!! <3 |
~Review~
1. Prologue to Dejavu - Pendulum rip off. Hopefully they got rights to the melody at the beginning, I doubt it, though. I won't get into it, but Genesis is better in my opinon. 2. POP DIVA - I didn't really like the full song when it came out but... I mean it's not so bad, a major grower. It's hard to get over that chorus though, sounded better in low-quality believe it or not xD; 3. Lollipop - still my favorite of the summer songs <3 Still touchin' booties and gotta party~ 4. Okay - Really great! I absolutely love it. It's the kind of R&B I like from her. Very well done. 5. Aitakute - Yet another song that reminds me of another song, Dilemma anyone? I mean it's subtle but I can't help but sing Dilemma lyrics when I hear the chorus... Between the prologue and this, pretty disappointed. But the song itself is really nice. Very chill. 6. Passing by - Really really really really amazing. My favorite so far! It sounds like something you'd hear on American radio but that doesn't really bother me so much since it's actually better lol. 7. AT THE WEEK END - Effing HOT!!! I DON'T WANNA LOOK AT THE WEEK END~~~~~ 8. Interlude to Dejavu - RIP OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF! lil' showy you *******! 9. Melting - Cuteness~ I don't know why some people don't like this song to be honest... MUCH better than Lick Me. Very old-school Kumi cuteness which I adore to be honest. Love love love this song. But I don't understand why it's after that interlude...? 10. Hey Baby! - Should have been after the interlude? Oh well, perfection. I don't need to tell you all that xD; 11. Choi Tashi Life - I like this song a lot. Old-school just like melting <3. Kumi please stick to thisssssssssss. 12. Anata dake ga - Still my least favorite of the Suki de x3 single, but it really shines here. It's just unfortunate it's before Suki de because that makes it highly subseptable to being skipped since Suki de is my most favorite xD; 13. Suki de - Beautiful, flawless, grand, perfection, smash-hit, best Kumi song of 2010 etc. etc. 14. Bambi - Y'all crazy, I love me some bambi xD;;; Should have came after Choi Tashi Life though~ I love love love love this song. The studio version sounds a little cheap at times, but I think it adds to the essence of the song. It's just pure fun. 15. I Don't Love You!? - Great! I like this song a lot. It reminds me of another Kumi song... But I can't put my finger on it. Overall - dispite the disappointing rip-offs, this album is A MILLION BILLION BAJILLION AND INFINITY times better than TRICK and UNIVERSE. It's everything I wanted from Kuu and more. I have to admit, I was super worried she'd let me down but this is definitely a GIANT step in the right direction. I already love this album after one listen. I'm just going to skip the intro and interlude <______< Or put Pendulum in it's place! :laugh |
I have the same opinion on this album as on Ayu's Love songs. It' snot her best album, but it's really Amazing J-Pop album and I love it.
Bambi PV - cuteness overdose! Hilarious PV! |
kiのtrumpet(@tieba.baidu) has posted most of the lyrics from Dejavu, so I can start translating~ :D
Okay Spoiler:

^Beautiful. <3
|
Shoot, seeing that some people think AT THE WEEK END lacks something makes me very disappointed. I will wait to listen but I have to say, that's one thing I did not hold back excitement or my expectations on that song - I was really expecting it to be amazing and looks like I'll probably be let down now. Damn.

Prologue - it's sounds cool! I hope this turns into a full songs. :heart POP DIBA - :yes Lollipop - :heart Okay - :heart Aitakute - :heart sounds just as good as the live. Passing by - :scry PURE GORGEOUS!!! It's beautiful! AT THE WEEKEND - :heart GREAT! who's the boss? I'M THE BOSS :laugh interlude - :yes sounds pretty cool! Melting - :yes la la la melting chocolate! Hey baby! - :heart owns my life! ...Life - probably the only album track I'm not in love with Anata dake ga - :heart Suki de - :heart Bambi - :heart one of my faves! I don't love you - perfect ending to the album! Old school kuu vibes :heart I had Ayu's love songs for winter, and now Dejavu for spring! |
|
This is easy for me.
Summary: I don't like anything after the interlude except anata dake ga. Improvements: Needs at least one off the fishbowls and black candy. |
Passing By have connection with Fantasia ♥
Edit- The PV is a little boring and the guy is so... weird :( |
Bambi's pv is so cute with a great ending!
|
she's really pretty with the shorter hairstyle in Passing By but the other hairstyle she has is ridiculous :laugh the PV was pretty boring and the guy is really, really ugly. actually, I hardly like any of the PV's on the album. they're all pretty cheap looking, but at least she looks good in them.
|
ok i make it short...
Dejavu album is great PV's are gorge Dream music park is amazing (i know it, i was there) booklet and theme is LOVE thxbye |
Major WTF moment!
The PV was beautiful until the chorus where i see the guy! ><" And Dejavu is plain awesome! |

OMG LoL guys my Last F.M...
倖田來未 Dejavu 623 played songs and top listener... so who's dah kween, beotches? LoL |
Solid album ballad-wise. I'm only on Passing By right now~
These are some of her strongest slower r&b tracks! :heart So far, I like it, stronger than Universe or Trick to me... but not a huge fan of POP DIVA.. |
Quote:
I'd probably make the tracklist look like this. Quote:
|
I just uploaded Dejavu to my mp3 player, had to kick out Aitakute because it would annoy me and force to look for the skip button too much, esp since it's between Okay and Passing by, + I added Good Day, Black Candy, walk ~to the future~, for you, inside / outside fishbowl and got to be real. cannot wait to upload DMP dvd-mp3 rip :)
|
so as most of people already said.. Dejavu is an amazing album :heart
easily in my Top 3 favorites from her. damnn I even love Melting now xD imo Choitashi Life is the weakest track but its still not bad and I can tolerate it without skipping it like I did with some songs on her previous albums. waiting for better rips of the new PVs to watch them. I'm so happy!! tenshi:: thanks for all the translations <3. |
Since last singles have been amazing i was expecting a better album, im quite disappointed...still i might have to listen more to it, see the PVs etc.
Hey Baby, BAMBI, the interludes and AT THE WEEKEND are quite good, but Passing By and Melting are just horrible |
Quote:
|
^ I love them both but imo Aitakute is the best ballad on Dejavu.
it's just.. Perfection. I swear it makes me cry ;_; was this posted before? first booklet scan: Spoiler:
|
The only song that I really don't like yet is melting but other than that the album is pretty good!!! ^_^ Yah! for kuu!!!!!!!
|
Passing By / 倖田來未 ← shouldn't be an collaboration or featuring song? (weird...)
|
I'm currently at a university with Big Brother internet that won't let me download the leak, so I've been listening to whatever tracks are uploaded to Tumblr. I've been pretty unimpressed with most of Koda Kumi's releases since TRICK (the awesome half of TRICK, that is. "TABOO" and "This is not a love song" ftw), but I love, love lovelovelove "AT THE WEEKEND" and "Hey baby!" Holy crap. Is the rest of the album anywhere near as good as these songs?
|
I don't know if you guys noticed this:
逢いたくて ※new Kracie いち髪 TV-CFソング |
Honestly Bambi sounds so much better with the pv (obviously isn't really good as the singles), is really cool, she looks so cute at the end, but that guy is creepy !!!
Passing By is nice, the song is good and koda looks so classy in the pv !!! |
OMG.. Bambi PV is CUTEEE & FUNNY!!!
She looks reallyy cute!!! :heart :heart Passing by PV is okay. I love her in the creamy dress.. preeetttyyy!!! |
Ok well I heard the album & I must say I do like it very much.
Only song I don't like it melting. But My Favs Are: Okay Passing By At The Week End I' Don't Love You Hey Baby! Suki De, Suki De, Suki De Anata Dake Ga Aitakute Interlude to Dejavu Songs that are ok: Lollipop Choi tashi Life Bambi Prologue to Dejavu Songs I don't like: Melting I can't wait til the HQ scans of the album posts |
Quote:
|
so like...this is a great album lol
I just listened. So well, like what I find interesting is that, even if there are songs I don't like so much, or aren't my style...there are no songs that I just, hate or really dislike. Bambi is a really interesting song to me, because like, in it, I hear a lot of like, old school influences in the composition lol It reminds me of older songs like, Got to be Real status. |
I adore the upbeat songs <3
It's easily a lot better than UNIVERSE~ |
Quote:
In the album booklet if you look for the song it may has his name for additional vocals. |
If you guys realise, I think all the new PVs are more fantasy theme. It's like Deja Vu album concept. So I guess that's why they use lotsa CG. Sorta feels like cheap Taiwanese CG-ed PVs but well only it's better.
|
^ didnt watch the PVs yet but the album concept seems to be Alice in Wonderland, but I guess it has to do with the fantasy thing too :3

MsMiyabi:: your set is great. can't stop listening to this album. now I'm even more excited for the tour. |
This album is epic. I love it. I LOVE all the songs, save for the songs from the Suki de x 3 single. I don't get the hype there. And even then, I don't hate them, but I have to be in the right mood to listen to them or else I find them annoying. But, this album is blowing me away. I love it so so so much, I could cry. And the tour for this album is gonna be epic. Oh, Kuu, how I love thee!
|
Ok, here's my review.
Overall, I do not like the album. UNIVERSE was way better in my case. 01.Introduction - Boring. 02.POP DIVA - Terrible. 03.Lollipop - Nice and I enjoy it but not "wowing" 04.Okay - Favorite song on the album actually. Reminds me of No way but way better. 05.逢いたくて - it's a nice listen. Nothing special. 06.Passing By - Amazingly beautiful piano melody it starts out with. The verses are nice as well but the guy singing is terrible. His voice is way to high-pitched. Hate Ku's english too. I'm really dissapointed in this song because that melody for the piano is gorgeous. Very touching. 07.AT THE WEEK END - Nice and I've grown to like it better (my expectations were higher though). 08.Interlude - No. 09.Choi tashi Life - Second favorite I think. Reminds me of Koi no Tsubomi and verses remind me of With Your Smile. Although Koi no Tsubomi and With Your Smile are better. 10.Melting - Kind of annoying. I love Lady Go!! and GOOD*DAY but this one I think is the weakest of the "cutesy-fun-pop" songs. 11.Hey baby! - It's grown on me too - the beat is nice but I don't like the repetitiveness of the melody during the chorus. Damn this song is way too long - I can't even get through the whole thing in one sitting. :rolleyes 12.あなただけが - I like it but idk it's a little boring as well. Just kind of get sick of it halfway through. 13.好きで、好きで、好きで。 - I like it. 14.Bambi - Thought the previews were annoying but the full song isn't bad. Although I prefer Superstar. 15.I Don't Love You !?? - Love the intro and the sound to this song but the chorus I just really dislike as well. Ranking goes: Okay, AT THE WEEK END, Bambi, Hey baby! - the rest I probably won't listen to much. Someone mentioned something about this album being called Dejavu because most tracks sound like something Ku has done before (and done better). Such a disappointment. UNIVERSE owns. Not one song on this album that I think is 100% perfect and the way it should be (well maybe Okay). I know I'll get ridiculed for this since most people seem to think it's the best thing ever but not for me. Also, God the tracks are so long... (sarcasm). Come on! Off the top of my head: 5/10. |
thanks Tsubasa2591 it will be much better when I get better Quality photos.
all.night.raver you don't like pop Diva? |
Besides the fact that I think PD is in too high of a pitch. I like it. So sexy.

I also think BLACK CANDY is way better than half these tracks, and BLACK CANDY isn't super OMG amazing but it really is a nice song and I do love it. Still too short. Seriously though, I kept my expectations low for this album, seeing as I really liked UNIVERSE and I knew I might be disappointed... but I was hoping for one or two songs I absolutely couldn't get enough of. AT THE WEEK END will suffice, but I thought it'd make me go wild like Driving did. I guess even keeping your expectations low is not a cure-all for disappointment. |
I liked POP DIVA since Day 1. but I think the performances are what made me LOVE this song. the coreography is just awesome! everytime I listen to this song I remember the choreo and damn, its awesomeness for my ears :heart
I think Dejavu is better than UNIVERSE and TRICK, actually. |

UNIVERSE, the only songs I don't listen to are Stay, Comes Up, It's all Love!, and Alive. I love Lick Me (so catchy in a perfect way), Work It Out! (amazing - seriously, the chorus doesn't feel like "oh she should have changed the melody here or sung a different note here" - it just feels very POW!), and SUPERSTAR is fun to listen to and sing along with. |
The album is very easy to listen to, which is a plus :) I'm actually alright with the cutesy songs this time! surprisingly, I hated joyful, but like Melting!? what's wrong with me :laugh
Anyway, I'm in love with Passing By and AT THE WEEKEND, also very fond of POP DIVA, Lollipop, suki dex3 and anatadakeda! :inlove I don't love you !?!?!?!?!? is also pretty nice :) I still think that UNIVERSE is better than Dejavu, but Dejavu is definitely a solid album, but perhaps an underdog kinda thing... I adore it and will listen to it a thousand times more lol |
^ I just feel a lot of the songs COULD HAVE BEEN GOLD/BETTER. Like, they had some amazing parts to them (Passing By had the piano melody, I Don't Love You!! had a great intro and overall sound to it, AT THE WEEK END is fun but still needed a little bit more)... That's what makes me dislike it because I just want to go in the studio and work some magic on them and perfect them. Lol.

I think that maybe kuu and her team wanted something more chilled this time? Something not too out there but still solid enough to be likable and enjoyable? Not sure :P The single tracks really save this album too. |
i love bambi! <3

I hated POP DIVA at first. I thought it was super annoying. She won me over with the flawless lives. :heart

I have the same problem with dejavu that I did with trick. Trick has the "fits the genre" songs like bling, driving, show girl, that ain't cool, etc. then it has the songs that kind of just mess it up like stay with me, moon crying, and ai no kotoba. I think dejavu would have been awesome with a ton of songs like lollipop and pop diva, and at the week end, but then she throws in songs like bambi and melting and I really don't get it. At least there's an interlude before hand to not completely mess up the flow.

Only songs I liked on there was Hurry Up This is not a long song Taboo Driving I hated the rest. I think Dejavu is better than Trick but that's just 1 opinion I guess. |
I know everyone's still in the hype over Dejavu, but this album's release really made me look back to her past albums.
I bought Kingdom recently (The limited edition was only $7.00 at Book-Off, if anyone can believe it), and I had only bought it for the Tohoshinki duet and anytime, but I recently discovered that I love every track on this album. I know everyone's just started talking about Dejavu, but does anyone else love this album? I just downloaded Dejavu, really looking forward to it based on everyone's reaction :D |
I love Hey baby!
