Nakashima Mika to release video clip collection, “GREATEST LOTUS”

It’s been revealed that Nakashima Mika will be releasing a video clip collection entitled “GREATEST LOTUS” on March 28th!

The DVD will feature a total of 44 videos from Nakashima’s debut song, “STARS“, to her latest, “LOVE IS ECSTASY“.

It will also come with a bonus disc called “GREATEST CHALLENGE“. In this DVD, Nakashima challenges herself to a quiz, and when she answers incorrectly, she faces penalty games, such as riding a roller coaster.

A making-of movie for “GREATEST CHALLENGE” is available for viewing on Nakashima’s official website until February 29th.

The DVD's first pressing will be encased in a special sleeve case with a deluxe 24-page photobook. You can see through the designed logo on the DVD cover was made up of pictures that were cut from 44 PVs.
In GREATEST CHALLENGE, Mika challenges quizzes about her own history.
For example, quizzes such as "When did you first xxx ?" and surprisingly, answers are given with "treasured footages at the time".
Long-haired Mika, wolf-haired Mika and affectionate Mika... such Mika-chan, when she did xxx for the first time, appears one after another.

Seriously, why exactly is this not being released on Blu-ray? Her concerts have been before so why not this? That alone makles me not want to buy it, especially since I already have Film Lotus III & IV and the DVDs for VOICE and STAR.

well there's no way to know they won't release her PV collection on Bluray, but I guess it's safe to say that it won't happen anytime soon.. they only released twice BlueCDs & her concerts on BluRay so far.. :/ And only since 2005 so idk.

lotus are her favorite flowers :) it also represents purity, wisdom and spirits, things that are important for Mika :)

She also named her fanclub after her favourite flower somemore which I think it's really cool

Singer and actress Nakashima Mika (29) is reportedly dating volleyball player Shimizu Kunihiro (25), a member of the men’s national team who plays for the Panasonic Panthers (based in Osaka). According to the Sports Nippon newspaper, the two started dating about half a year ago.

Nakashima is said to be a volleyball fan, and she has gone to watch Premier League matches many times. A friend introduced her to Shimizu, and they began dating after that.

Shimizu is one of the best attackers on Japan’s national team, and at 21 years old he was the youngest on the team during the 2008 Olympic Games. Due to his physique, he is also known by the nickname “Gori.”

When asked about the relationship, a PR representative for the Panasonic Panthers stated that it had nothing to say because it is a private matter.

Has anyone seen "CONCERT TOUR 2011 THE ONLY STAR"? The Blu-ray is on sale on Amazon Japan right now for only 2090 yen and I'm really considering getting it, but from the clips I saw, it seemed like her voice was in really bad shape that night. Has anyone seen the whole thing?

^ yeah her voice was really bad that day, too bad coz it was perfect a few days before the Tokyo shows, when I went to the concert :/ but despite her voice, she really did her best and this concert is awesome! She cancelled a few concerts due to bad health, guess she couldn't just cancel this one too.. :/

^Thanks so much! Yeah, her vocals are extremely rough. Despite the cheap price, I think I'm gonna have to pass. It's so unfortunate too, because it's a great set-list and she normally sounds amazing live. Instead, the whole thing just has me cringing :(
