"Report: Rihanna and Chris Brown Reunite On 'Birthday Cake' Remix

Word on the blogosphere is that the feature on Rihanna's upcoming remix to "Birthday Cake" is none other then ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.

According to MissInfo.tv, the collaboration is indeed happening! Sources tell Info that Chris Brown laced the track and will be seen in the music video. Breezy reportedly sings and rhymes on the track, but we'll have to wait till next week, release date, to hear if both parts will be included.

Over the weekend, Chris Brown and Rihanna were seen leaving a West Hollywood studio, separately. Co-producers of "Birthday Cake," Da Internz -- comprised of Kosine and Tuo -- hinted on the collaboration when they told MTV News that the cameo on the track would "shock the world."

"It's gonna be crazy," Tuo said. "And the feature on there is gonna shock the world," Kosine added.

The icing on the cake is that Brown did indeed attend Rihanna's 24th birthday celebration on Monday night (Feb. 13). Sources say the singers came together and were close the entire night.

Why did he get a grammy again? :rolleyes

I love the song and can't wait to hear a full version. I wonder who will be featured on it now... Better not be Jay-Z either >_>

George 18th February 2012 02:24 AM

This is ridiculous. Reading some articles that Chris is in fact doing the remix with Rihanna.
http://i.imgur.com/UWU6f.png

And when you look at Rihanna's twitter, it seems like the remix is really happening.

ngl I am not gonna get mad over something that doesn't affect my life like other people are, I don't think she is will get back with him even if they collab

I am just gotta sit back and eat my popcorn if this is true, her label won't let it happen though like not all publicity is good especially this

SURREAL__RAINBOW 18th February 2012 02:54 AM

he's such an ass.

Anyway, its like the end of the week already. They need to hurry up.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 18th February 2012 03:04 AM

Wait, when is Talk That Talk's mv being released?

Why are her singles rushing by so much? :no

aloopy 18th February 2012 03:04 AM

^^ I know right.. he's always acting like he's the victim... ugh:rolleyes

emi♡ 18th February 2012 03:13 AM

yeah...and well tbh, I dont care what he does with her, as long as he stays far away from my birthday cake...

If she wants to all be friends with him again...then whatever.

PoetGirl 18th February 2012 03:43 AM

He is spoiled and stupid, I cant..with his behaviour. I dont understand his fans really. Can't sing, doesn't have quality music nor identity (he goes for whatever if there's money), acts like he invented the music and like he's number 1 in the business, like he can do whatever he wants and people will always buy it. disgusting.

and I lost all respect I had for Riri if he's on the remix or she's on his, cause thats basically supporting domestic violence and I dont give a... if she does not, I think its too important issue to make money of it in such a trashy way.

TITANIC 18th February 2012 04:27 AM

i think its about to happening.

well if that really happened, I would really like to see Rihanna being beaten by him once again

SURREAL__RAINBOW 18th February 2012 05:04 AM

Not that I want her to get beaten up again. But if she does, we'll all be like... I told ya :/ :shrug

I'm just so pissed off that they picked Birthday Cake, such an amazing song which they're about to ruin :( And if it sounds amazing, it's gonna suck even more.

How many more talented people could feature her, I swear... Why is he still working in the music industry, he should leave all the catchy demos to people with good reputation.

George 18th February 2012 05:13 AM

Yeah, that's the most disappointing thing, that the song definitely has potential. But I don't think I'll ever listen to it, if he's featured. I'll feel like I'm supporting domestic violence, which is an issue, I'm sadly very familiar with. I believe what they're about to do is something disrespectful to all victims of domestic violence past or future. I do, however think that her record label won't allow it happen, or I hope so.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 18th February 2012 05:17 AM

The labels will see it like a good opportunity to I don't know, "make some noise", or something. People will want to know about it, if they're together again, or if she gets beaten again, etc etc.

Which is sad, and very very low. But I wouldn't be surprised. Labels are all ****ed.

I bet Rihanna doesn't really give a ****, and she seems very compulsive when she believes in something, so obviously she changed her mind about Chris, they started talking again and what not. But oh ****, who could really know what's happening between them two now.

Mirrorcle Monster 18th February 2012 08:16 AM

Doing this just for controversy and sales, Rihanna is a *****, she doesnt deserve any respect. This is so disgusting

ll moments ll 18th February 2012 09:41 AM

^ i don't think saying that she "doesn't reserve respect" will make the situation any better. it's obvious she needs help. so everyone, please don't blame her for what she's feeling when many victims of DV do go back to their abuser. it's a sad thing...

both of them need to get off twitter & focus on themselves. if this thing is true it's not going to help them personally & career-wise. there's going to be so much backlash.

But Rihanna is not a common person who falls in love again with her abuser. She is a pop star and she should NOT do a collaboration. Idont blame her for fallin in love again with an idiot, I blame her and her staff for allowing this. Is a terrible example for everyone

emi♡ 18th February 2012 11:43 AM

ugh idek which is worse....chris brown, or jay z....leaning towards brown cause he doesnt have any...

and honestly, I really dont know what to make of how their relationship was like.

But I will say, I do find it hard to see Brown as a stereotypical abuser, cause like I said, he's a little p**** b****.

Corvina 18th February 2012 12:11 PM

ll moments ll is right, don't blame Rihanna, cause most victims can't break themselves free from that vicious circle, they're going back to those who hurt them.
Popstar or not, Riri is a person like everybody else... but I so agree that people around her should be the ones stopping that, helping her as much as they can.

I still have hope that those are just rumours.
Cause there's just this one article everyone is quoting.

rookies 18th February 2012 09:31 PM

So now, Birthday Cake is the 4th single? What about Talk That Talk? I never even heard the song once on radio yet, lol. Her record company isn't promoting TTT much. I hope they have a music video planned or something.

TITANIC 19th February 2012 02:14 AM

even though I hate Kanye West so much because of his distraction on Taylor's speech when she won best female video VMA 2009 and some stupid comments, I still prefer him over CB. I think the one who doesn't deserve a respect isn't Rihanna but CB.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 20th February 2012 01:09 AM

It is definitely NOT going to be Chris Brown:

http://perezhilton.com/2012-02-17-ri...gle-no-reunion

Riri tweeted something a while back like "I need somoene #dirrrty for my birthday #cake" which definitely implies Christina Aguilera, and I would LOVEEEEEE that!! Would be so hot.

But then later she tweeted "No girls allowed on #cake!" which means maybe it's a male...but who? drake, weezy, jay-z, kanye, I don't want it to be any of them. LOL

^^you mad? lol can't deny that the track is hot

emi♡ 21st February 2012 03:02 AM

ugh. This *****.

I kinda wish they would have stayed more true to the melodies in the orig instead of going off and getting all messy with 2 added comps and effects tracks...

And, chris brown sounds like a girl and a ***** when he's singing these lyrics.

Thank god the original bc is like the best song ever. This one is okay. Its a whole lot of extra.

aloopy 21st February 2012 03:12 AM

It's ok, but I'll just stick to listening to the original short version (which i love) as Rihanna's "rap" part is just :no and I don't like Chris Brown so..

Also, I've pretty much lost all respect I had for her.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 21st February 2012 03:17 AM

^^I feel like...everyone makes mistakes. Everyone deserves a second chance. :/

Again I'll say, I love this track! haha

aloopy 21st February 2012 03:28 AM

I don't consider domestic violence as just "a mistake" one makes, and Chris Brown definitely does not deserve a second chance with the way he's behaving but that's just my opinion I guess.

emi♡ 21st February 2012 03:34 AM

Im kinda half half on giving him another chance. Like I said, he does not seem like a stereotypical abuser.

I do believe there is a difference between abusing on a consistent basis, and a one time thing.

But it still makes him a ****** person, so.

I dont like him on this track, cause he just doesnt fit for me...but bc is my fav riri song so...meh.

idk if I like the original or this one better...

Pieces_of_SEVEN 21st February 2012 03:39 AM

^^I agree to an extent about Chris himself not really deserving a second chance. He's an arrogant douchebag most of the time, and if he were a performer in Japan, his career would be absolutely over. (I'd still do him though...) Oh well...I love this track!

I like the new one better because it's a nice length (not TOO long like some songs, and not an interlude), and I do usually like Chris' voice

NintendoHTF1242 21st February 2012 05:31 AM

I kind of wish it stayed as an interlude now lol the full version wasn't what I was expecting.

Definitely agree.

As someone who's witnessed domestic violence first hand, I just cannot support this at all. Some people can say I'm over-reacting but to me, the way it's being portrayed is "oh well... yes you abused me to the point where I needed medical attention but you know what! Let's just forget that ever happened!! Now let's collab on a track where you wanna **** me right now!"

And yes it's Rihanna's life I get that. She can do what she wants. But she's also a public figure. What she does is seen throughout the world and by doing this, it's just sending the wrong message in my opinion.

Buuuut that's just me :\

Pieces_of_SEVEN 21st February 2012 06:34 AM

^^I get that...but people can change. I am in no way defending Chris, but just saying that people are capable of bettering themselves and not repeating the same mistake over and over.

And Rihanna IS sending the wrong message (big surprise there), but not only with Chris, but her image, her lyrics, her personal habits, etc. Lol all her music makes her sound like a trashy *****, which is why I strongly dislike her. (Doesn't mean I don't enjoy some of her music though...)

George 21st February 2012 09:15 AM

^ People should get second chances, no doubts about that. But Chris Brown has never shown any remorse for what he did and even insults people who talk about the issue. I don't think someone like that should get a second chance. He's a racist homophobic woman beater.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 21st February 2012 09:24 AM

^well, when you're right, you're right. :/

George 21st February 2012 12:31 PM

Full account of what happened that night.
Spoiler:
Court documents detailing the abuse of Rihanna by Chris Brown were released earlier today, and chances are the details are worse than you’d think.

In the documents, a police statement outlines what Rihanna (referred to as ‘Robyn F. in the files) said happened during the events.

Statements in the documents were made by the responding LAPD officer:

Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown’s cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.

“A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.

“Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.’s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.

“Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, ‘I’m going to beat the sh– out of you when we get home! You wait and see!’

” The detective said “Robyn F.” then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer.

“Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, ‘I’m on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.’ After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, ‘You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I’m really going to kill you!’

“Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.

“Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.

“Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

“Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

“Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it.

“Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.’s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness.

“She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown’s body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions.

“Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.’s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order.”

And he did to show remorse.
Spoiler:
.

Yeah, nothing

kotora 21st February 2012 01:17 PM

I want this song in short version more than remix.

Just listen to the lyrics and it is highly remarking their relationship. Oh gosh, I like this song but when I listen Chris Brown sings "Girl, i want to **** you now", it bugs me....

PoetGirl 21st February 2012 01:48 PM

Rihanna was giving bad message and before so I dont think she cares, she cares only 'bout the fame and the money, and she said it herself numerous times I believe (somethin' about being world superstar). I dont have respect for her at all anymore but Im not hatin' either. I'll just go grab some pop corn and watch the 'drama' and btw song sucks.

kotora 21st February 2012 02:22 PM

“Girl I wanna f— you right now / It’s been a long time / I’ve been missing your body"
"Remember how you did it? / Remember how you fed it? / You still wanna kiss it? / C-C-Come and get it.”

Yup so much drama here, but hey she is trying to be an actress and done the film this year.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 21st February 2012 02:25 PM

He made the track... cheesy. It was hot as **** with Rihanna alone.

I actually like the remix tbh. I think they sound good together

ImpactBreaker 22nd February 2012 12:15 AM

It sounds really good! Wasn't as terrible as people made it seem...

About the whole Rihanna x CB issue, I'm not defending him, but if she had been so against violence, what explains her releasing a song called S&M a few years after getting a literal "traumatic" experience from her previous bf?

And as far as I know, Chris is not behind bars...so something was definitely off there if they're grouping together to release this song now.

I personally think both were doing drugs when the incident happened.

emi♡ 22nd February 2012 12:34 AM

Honestly, I dont think he remembered anything at all. And thats why I think he hasnt showed as much remorse.

And idk about the s&m. Theres lines between those things and violence and abuse...

idk what her deal is. Maybe they were violent towards each other, who knows. I dont have respect for her, but its not like I had that much for her before either lol

LOL I know both are different things but S&M is all about being reciprocal on accepting violence from a partner (I know with that both partners are in agreement to something while plain violence both parts aren't). I personally thought it was weird when she released a song talking about enjoying getting hit by sticks, stones, whips and chains a while after she had suffered from violence from an ex-partner (I don't think you'd normally expect someone who got traumatized by violence to be screaming they love S&M or anyhting that has got to do with beating or getting beat, unless it's a kid that grows under a violent enviroment and end up becoming violent as well because of their educational background), so seeing her singing alongside him doesn't surprise me this time (since I already got surprised with S&M while knowing what had happened to her).

SURREAL__RAINBOW 22nd February 2012 02:32 AM

Actually, S&M did surprise me a little, but I saw it more like she was enjoying her sex, and that's all. I guess she likes S&M but it doesn't justify what happened with Chris :shrug I see them as two different unrelated things.

ImpactBreaker 22nd February 2012 02:36 AM

Well, she does say "pain is my pleasure" in the song...:shrug
And, well, as much as we say it doesn't justify what CB did (which obviously doesn't, and yeah violence against women is monstrous though there are horrible women out there that violent men but it really doesn't matter because women are "fragile" and men are not to the society), she was the victim and she is now doing a collab with him, so the message she portrays is that it really didn't matter much for her at all. I mean, forgiving someone for something horrible they did is something. Doing a collab, is much more than just forgiving imo. At least that's how it impacts me, personally. However, I already saw that coming after I bought LOUD and listened to S&M for the first time.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 22nd February 2012 02:37 AM

Still not the same kind of pain. Pain can be pleasurable, but judging by the pictures of her after being punched by Chris, that's totally different.

If you even watch some of the S&M porn, you'll see how they aren't even punched the way Rihanna got punched.

And just like Madonna too, she went through something similar and she sang about S&M. But Madonna did leave her abusive husband for good.

NintendoHTF1242 22nd February 2012 02:47 AM

S&M is a protest against the media. Rihanna got sick of the media saying she likes to get beat, so she made the song to protest: "You like to say I get beat? Here you go."

Even the video is a protest against the media.

And I seriously hope that wasn't the cover for Birthday Cake. It looked like it was uploaded by a user so I didn't care for it, but if it's official that's embarrassing.

...wow.

Anyways, I guess it's weird to release something like S&M, but I personally didnt even make the correlation...like they said above, I figured they were two totally different things.

Now, it could be possible that it goes beyond that for her...but Id find that exceedingly odd. Most people into it recognize the differences between it and everyday behavior. To find people so into the lifestyle that violence becomes a part of their daily lives is rare.

lol talking about this at ahs is weird...im just gonna go...

Oh wait, but you know, Im always conflicted about the role model thing. Is it really her responsibility? Is her music even appropriate for young people...idk.

ImpactBreaker 22nd February 2012 03:26 AM

Whatever it was the protest on the "opposite side" then, went all over the drain because now she's definitely reassuring the media somewhat.
Plus, to people who only listen to a song being played on radios, players, etc and doesn't watch or pay attention to double meanings shown in music videos, the message portrayed by the song is what it is.:laugh

Pain is a disturbing feeling, no matter what. Some people might find pleasure with painful stimullus but still the pain, if they feel it, will be disturbing. the difference is because pain can be supressed even to important degrees depending on the state of mind of a person, up to complete numbness.

I won't comment on the rest, though I'll just say there's much more than just that.

Our society wants everyone that get a wee bit of media exposure to become role models. If parents doesn't want their kids to watch or listen to music that contradicts their morality, they should do their jobs properly and stop passing it on the entertainment industry. I find it quite ironic that after all the parents' effort to censor everything under the sun, we have the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the developed world. They should know by now that simply hiding it doesn't work and they should talk about sex with their children. A proper sex education should be one of the government's priority.

I just couldn't help myself.

emi♡ 22nd February 2012 03:51 AM

but theres the issue with demographics and such in our country thats makes it substantially different from other countries...but anyway, sex education is still lacking I suppose.

I was quite content with my sex ed lol we had like four different sessions over the years.

Theres also a difference though between sex ed and the themes of dominance and submission that rihanna goes through lol

George 22nd February 2012 04:12 AM

^ Yes, what I said was completely unrelated. Lol

Zahara 22nd February 2012 07:37 AM

"but S&M is all about being reciprocal on accepting violence from a partner"

As someone who knows people who are apart of that scene...I can tell you this is pretty far from the truth.

Either way, it's not my favorite Rihanna song lol.

And she's a fool for doing this.

Kingdom 25th February 2012 03:56 AM

I don't understand why people have their granny panties up in knots.

It's two remixes, not a trip to the alter. You aren't in Rihanna's head, you can't say she loves to be beaten or she's stupid for going back to Chris Brown.

When it's not even clear she "went back" to him.

Also, LOL @ NONE of you knowing what BDSM is or what it's about.

Zahara 25th February 2012 05:16 AM

^ My sister is a professional Dominatrix, so I know a bit about the scene : )

I think it's silly to say that a song that she didn't write makes her feelings clear, which is what I replied to.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 25th February 2012 05:25 AM

I knew what it was too lol :shrug As a Madonna fan I'm kinda forced to know what it is.

And just because no one explained what it was or gave a proper definition doesn't mean we all don't know what it actually is. But meh.

I bought TTT Deluxe edition yesterday... It is my first time listening to the deluxe tracks and they're nice, but I keep on thinking about Chris when I listen to Fool In Love :thud

ll moments ll 25th February 2012 06:55 AM

wow....BDSM and Domestic Violence are TOTALLY different things. they shouldn't be grouped together AT ALL. :no

i will admit i'm disappointed that Chris is on Birthday Cake. i get it's her decision & she's gonna LET THEM HATERS HATE~ or whatever, but personally, it's just not a great message to send out. she may have forgiven Chris, but it should not cross over to her career. it should be something private.

i just hope for the best. :(

jbrat2219 25th February 2012 04:05 PM

To be honest, if Rihanna wants to get back together with Chris Brown that is her business. But why did she have to put him on Cake? :(

Zahara 25th February 2012 04:10 PM

Maybe we're all jumping the gun here. Doesn't Chris Brown have a girlfriend?

I tnink it would be foolish for her to place herself in that situation, but in the end it's not my choice, it's her life.

Wow, RiRi, what are you doing with your supporter? ._.

jbrat2219 8th March 2012 01:19 AM

I don't care about her personal life but I can no longer support her if she's going to disrespect fans like that. She needs to learn to keep her emotions in check when it comes to her business. An attitude like that isn't cute.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 8th March 2012 04:23 AM

I really do like some of her tracks...but I don't know why. I hate most of her lyrics, her image, her screechy voice, her stupid choices and decisions, and just her life I guess. LOL the definition of a sell out...all she has is sex.

PoetGirl 8th March 2012 04:55 AM

I followed her since Pon de replay since she was new and cute. I really liked reaggae influenced songs. It was nice and all, but being casual follower I always get an impression all she wants is money and the fame. Maybe that explains why she just runs over for hits to hit makers and album tracks are usually unlistenable (to me at least but I really did try so many times cause she has interesting sound, kinda like Shontelle, but Shontelle has much more class and is unknown compared to her) and why she doesnt take any breaks.

Reasons I like her because her music brings me different level after I got drunk at clubs.

Me + Gingatonic + Her music = Mild Dance
Me + Redbull + Vodka + Her music = Wild Dance
Me + Long Island Iced Tea + Her music = Stripper Dance

Why does she have to be so disgusting? I don't follow her on Twitter, but my boyfriend does, and he tells me some of the things she tweets, and it's just...ugh. Damn girl is that really all you have to offer? EVERYONE has either a **** or a *****, you're not special. Smh I hate when performers rely on sex or a sexual image to sell/stay relevant.

I read those tweets yesterday :shrug wtf seriously, she's so annoying.

emi♡ 13th March 2012 11:18 AM

I stopped following the ***** :shrug

If she starts making ****** music, she's done for me.

George 13th March 2012 03:25 PM

Twitter has made it so easy for artists to show how stupid they are.

On an unrelated note, twitter might be stupid sometimes but it also gives us things like this.
