I can understand why people are calling it their weakest, since their albums are SO strong to begin with. - I don't know if I like the tracklist. I feel like it's too jerky how the moods change so easily from sad to angry to happy to nostalgic and back to happy. It should've been smoother. I'd like to see them really do a concept album, which the intro to the album, "al fine", would've been perfect for. - Only song I don't like is signal. It's okay in parts, but in some parts it's next to unbearable! To rank their albums now, I'd say: 1) Seventh Heaven (10) 2) Consolation (9.5/10) and Red Moon (9.5/10) 4) After Eden (9/10) |
Consolation is just different from their usual style, that's why it's kind of hard to accept, several times listening might help.

I actually really like the cover. They don't have to be on the covers all the time. It somehow makes things different. And I've always loved their logo, so having almost nothing but it on the cover still looks too beautiful. Still, it is somehow strange that for this single all of sudden they decided to go for something like this.

Hallelujah's verse are better than what I thought with the preview. But the song stay average. Dolce is really too short. The Xmas live version of old songs are really beautiful.

I think I like the CD only one the best. The blu ray one is just awkward (and Keiko looks scared), and I don't like Wakana's pose on the CD + DVD one. Not their best covers, but they are all right. I can imagine that the reason they had to put those curtain or whatever borders around the picture was so that they could put the text on the cover. It doesn't look so great, though. But it's nothing too bad, I suppose.

It's a refreshing tune, so it's good, and it doesn't sounds bad.
But for me still not that good, I feel like could have been better. The PV is so perfect, probably one of the best from them. |

^ Didn't know covers were out. Except for Wakana's and Keiko's poses in those high places, I like the covers. I don't think I'll be buying this right now, though. I don't feel like spending so much money on just two new songs, and that's all that matters to me when buying CDs. I'll leave it for later if I really want it. Anyway, I'm glad they are releasing a best album just so they get it done with already and can continue later with their discography normally.

ACTUALLY, the first broadcast of Fate/stay night is a special episode.
There will be 2 SP episodes, episode #0 and episode #1 with the duration one hour each. Usually, when it comes to SP episodes, they will only play one song, either it's the OP or the ED (at the end of the episode, the anime will start normally with the scenes). In this case, Mashiro Ayano "ideal white" probably will be the one played during these 2 SP episodes because the preview is everywhere (in the first 7 CMs of the anime) already. It's just my opinion though: maybe we can hear Kalafina's believe later, in the next 2 weeks. |
It's true, they play just one song (or they play an instrumental instead of the OP or ED) when it's the first episode or is something special.

believe is somewhere between misterioso - to the beginning - heavenly blue. (Maybe progressive as well?)
The intro is awesome, but the chorus feels off and a bit weak. Full of Wakana. The shift between Wakana and Hikaru in the verse is nice, but still have to wait for full version. So far, I still like heavenly blue or to the beginning or misterioso. |

Here you go. (From Kalafina Club, the first one talking is Hikaru) Anyway, like I said before, what Kajiura tweeted before, it's not about this song, maybe the B-side or... another new song. Aldnoah Zero will start the second season in January, so (hopefully) we're getting another new song. As for Fate/stay night, I believe there will be a second season as well, so... another new song again? Not sure if they release more songs, since they are preparing for Budokan concert and LisAni live. Aside from new songs, if there's a new album coming, I don't think their last 3 new songs (Alleluia, Kimi no Gin no Niwa, heavenly blue) won't be included in the new album. |
