I think it's rather HIGHLY degrading than actually praising for ayu, to have an husband who appears in a photobook with nothing more than assless underwear... :( I know that there are people with these fetishes, but still. Tbh this looks like someone who sets his camera on timer, posing, snapping, and then uploading it to Facebook.

I can only hope that ayu is happy or satisfied with this. (Still hoping that ayu's photobook is like this :D)

I liked Leslie Kee's work on the FIVE covers and the one cover where ayu appears with her short hair, holding her face with her two hands. (The symetrical picture) Love and Hate or something I forgot! I thought that he was going to implement the same awesome photodirecting skills in Mannie's photobook as well.

Why is it degrading? It's a butt. It's sex, it's a daily part of human life, there is no logical reason to find it degrading, get over it.
I would pose in assless underwear.

I find it degrading for ayu. Mannie is married to Japan's empress of pop; one of the worlds most respected Asian artist. He did a perfect job appearing in the Love Songs PV's. Now he releases these wonderful pieces of awesome pictures (sarcasm overload). We haven't even seen ayu in any photoshoot like this, sure she was naked in the NAKED TALK photoshoot, but we haven't see her ass in any of the shoots, or let me say, assless underwear or can we say in a breastless top?

In the 10+ year that ayu's been active she didn't release anything like this, now Mannie's in the picture he does it in less than 1 year with ayu. I hope that this is the last time he does something as disastrous as this.

But if we take the comparison out of the way and judge Mannie on his own, I think it's degrading for any straight man to pose like a female in exposing underwear on photo's what's going to be used for in a book. But that is just an opinion, I'm sure that there are millions of straight guys who want to appear in a photobook with exposed underwear and posing like girls.

Btw, I have nothing against the guy, I defended him numerous of times on this forum and I really like his performance in the Love songs PV's.

Idk, regardless of how the photos are inside, I think something that obviously was a birthday gift should've stayed a birthday gift. That goes for Leslie publicly tweeting it as such, the 500 copies, and Mannie selling it on eBay.

This. I think some of the photo's aren't executed great and he doesn't seem comfortable in them, like the assless pants photos, but the Angel photo's and the photo's of him on the beach are beautiful. :) And if Ayu loves this book than I think it's a wonderful thing!

I don't see why people are calling him ugly? I don't think that's true or called for at all. He may not be to your taste, but 'ugly' is a harsh word. Mannie is a good looking guy, just in some photo's he looks odd because of the arrangement/poses, whatever, Like anyone would. Ig it's not your sort of thing, don't look at it. XD I mean, Ayu's got herself a husband with the balls (literally!) to pose with his package out in the odd poses leslie has put him in (which I swear is for his own personal favour..) despite seeming uncomfortable, to try and do something sweet and romantic for her. I think whether something like this intended for your wife should be kept private or not is up to personal opinion, but he must like the photo's enough to choose to sell them, so that's what counts.

But that's the thing: we keep saying it's what AYU might like; it only matters if AYU likes the book. I agree, but AYU should've been the only one to see that book. Instead, there's 500 people who get to display her tastes in print on their shelves as if it were some collection item - not to mention the people seeing it here on AHS and on the internet. If I was Ayu, I'd be horrified.

Again, that's the only real thing that's in bad taste here, regardless of what we think of the photos. If they needed to make more money, they should've sold more copies of LOVE & HOPE with photos of Mannie added, not sell a birthday gift for Ayu. I like Leslie and Mannie both, but this lowers my respect for them a little bit.

there's 1000 of super mannie, which mannie said was his early christmas present to her. the 500 for her birthday was super ayu & since it was a surprise gift, most likely there was no extra photo shoot for it just a compilation of all the photos leslie has done of ayu.

I think everyone needs to chill out on the whole Mannie and Leslie selling the book thing. It's really not that big of a deal. So what if Mannie's ass is showing? This has always been Leslie's style of photography and we should have expected it to be like this. Mannie and Leslie are both professionals in what they do. If Mannie wasn't comfortable with doing it I'm sure he would have said no. Plus, if I were Ayu I wouldn't be 'horrified' that these pictures are out there, hell, I'd be happy. Mannie is a model after all and I'm sure this won't be the last time we see him half naked.
