Everyone's saying yay its coming to US and such and yay for ayu but every Tales of game, re-do there intro songs for the language of the country. It would be really good if they kept ayus song in it but realistically, they don't use them in the international releases. One of the rare game to keep its artist is Kingdom Hearts with Hikaru Utatada, but thats because she can sing well in English

heres the first tales of Xillia 2 CM if anyone wants to see, without ayu's song. It will probably be like last Tales of Xillia. We will get a few CMs before ayumi's song is featured in it

The trailer for the game has been released. There's no ayu song but the game is well on the way of being advertised. I think it was like a week before Tales of Xillia's release, before we got progress in it. A CM and a PV (like an extended game preview thing) of the game have been release on tales of xillia's 2 website already. But they might be hoping how Tales of Xillia boosted FIVE's sales, maybe they hope the same will happen with ToX2 and A SUMMER BEST.
I wonder if we will get a special ayu costume again for the game

Oh **** I meant the trailer with the song, excuse me I wasn't being clear! :P I really didn't thought about that, how stupid of me. (it's morning over here already and I haven't slept a bit). But I'm glad they're promoting the game now as well. And I'm sure that the ToX 2 gamers will support by buying the OST / Single at least, I hope so.. (It's a must when you play such an addicting game XD). Eventually they become addicted to ayu and buy A SUMMER BEST.

I'm the type of gamer (well I don't game much but) when I like a game and grow addicted to it, the last being Zelda SS, I end up buying things concerning the game; books, soundtracks etc. I have for my other fave game; Pokémon Pearl, the guide, guide ver. 2, game ost (both discs) and additionally bought Pokémon Diamond. And thats not cool actually, it's creepy. I'm not even sure what the relevance of this is,.... I'm off to bed.

I think that if ASB charts on second place or lower that they'll release this in psychical format in order to reach #1 this year.

I was about to say that it might mean Ayu had the first Tales of Xillia in mind when she wrote the song, but reading the first post I see she had "2"'s story explained to her and she incorporated her own feelings into it (I don't know if that means her feelings on the storyline or just... feelings), so you might be correct in your assumption.
But I don't think it matters much really. Regardless of whether it reminds of "progress", it's still its own song, and I will treat it as such when I listen to it and give my judgement.
Now please tell me we don't have to wait until October/November before we get to hear this song...

If A SUMMER BEST flops or even reaches #2 spot in the charts, then I'd think they'll make this psychical to keep up the yearly #1 spot for ayu. They surely don't want to break the chain. Or they will release it as digital iTunes single or just release it in the Tales of Xillia Original Soundtrack release? There are many possibilities! It might even be a hidden song in one of the tracks in the A SUMMER BEST album.

I hope it's just an EP, so we can get another epic Limited Edition version of the album with epic manga album art!

So, where's a difference that matters there? Had FIVE been released on the first wednesday in January and the others followed with the same gaps they would have been in one calender year. Just that there is no meaning to calender years except for giving us a way of numbering years and having a clear way of telling dates, which is irrelevant for that.
Ayumi released 3 albums within one year, why would it matter if it was a calender year or just a year? Why would it be any more crazy to do it in a calender year than just doing it within a year?

Because I think having 3 albums in 1 calender year is excessive.
Having TWO in one year is too much and I always found it dull when ayumi does that. I mean I LOVE it, but at the same time my wallet does not.

For the purposes of seeing Ayumi appear three different times in the oricon website for yearly releases is a bit much.

So, hypothetically speaking, since calender years are more extreme for you for some reason...which of these two release shedules would be more extreme and outragous for you?
a: albums(one best, one original, one mini, random order) in Dec of Year 1, January of Year 2 and March of Year 2
b: albums(one best, one original, one mini, random order) in January of Year 1, June of Year 1 and December of Year 1

Has anyone seen the new trailers that were released a few days/weeks ago.
the game looks pretty good and the graphics look like they have updated them a bit from the last trailer we saw. And just like other tales games, the battle system looks to be a killer.
Still cant wait for Xillia to come across the ocean!

^ the graphics seem to be slightly improved. I find tales of bsystems to be more of a button smashers rather than having depth and make you actually think a bit...

I still play my final fantasy 9 and playstion games more then the ps2/3 Xbox/360 and Wii

I played those way too many times when they were released. I'd give anything to bring games like Chrono Cross, Suikoden II or FFVIII/X back~ Lately I've only found The World Ends With You worthy of my attention~ Though Square-Enix surprises me with Kingdom Hearts every now and then.

As for Ayu I am really glad she is doing theme songs for games. I wish she'd do FF for once as after FFX the songs have been quite poor, even Aki's song wasn't that good as she has so many that are way better.

I think ayumi attached to a FF game would be epic.
I have heard the theme for FF14 and it is amazing... I dont know if its the same for the JPN version, but the english version was flawless.

I think FF15 (if we ever get it) would be a perfect chance for ayumi to get back in the spot light.

Although I dont know if its ayumi sound or lyrics themselves that have become irreverent in japan... I think thats a debate that could be interesting.
