I actually really like the CD+DVD one. :) I think she looks elegant and beautiful. I would like the CD one but her odd expression just strikes too hard for me. D: There's something off in her expression, like her smile is forced while her eyes remain dull?

I agree. I think what's missing is a real spark in her smile. This to me looks like "sad party queen", because the smile looks so forced. Well, I think her "monkey smile" in general looks forced.

No yey for me on the make up. Thought it was going to be more natural/neutral colors...but it doesnt look totally horrible. Just not what I personally like.

Love the tan. I actually dont know which I prefer. The smile one grew on me so much...but the make up brings it down for me lol but I just love smile ayu...

She seems like a vampire..............................She can just be sexy and gorgeous without those over-color contact lenses.

After viewing these on a large screen...I think the smiley one is definitely my favorite.

I am not a fan of the photoshop they've done. And not really that it's there, but all the effects, how they did the colors, etc. Along with it being too blurry in areas. And no, not her hair on the smiley one.

Anyways. New wallpaper with smiley ayu is in order. Actually can't believe we got uhq's so quickly...so nice.

The only negative point about the 2CD+DVD is her mouth. Otherwise it's nice. The 2CD is my favourite now that we have the right HQ with the correct colouring.
Her contect lenses are really beautiful. She looks as a bewitching mermaid.

I don't know what it is but the 2CD cover looks kinda creepy, her smile is a bit off and her tan is just.... Iffy.

Surprisingly, the giant mouth one looks better in HQ than the other one, although I still think there's something really funky going on with the lower half of her face in that photo. I actually think the green eyeshadow works well in that photo (the giant mouth one).

As for the other one: I can see what emi's talking about with the hand, although I wouldn't have noticed it unless she said something. I'm more focused on her terrible makeup and lips. The color of her lips is all off and those teeth never help. I like the tan, hair, and contacts, though - I think they work.

I think if someone were to lessen the shadow on her nose, lighten the green eyeshadow, and change the color of her lips the photo wouldn't look so off.

I agree with this. The one thing that annoys me most about the covers is the eyeshadow, it looks fine in the 2CD+DVD version, but in the 2CD version it clashes with all the blue. I think it would have looked better if she had a more skin-colored eyeshadow, possibly more orange or brown.
But yeah, this is what we got, and I don't think the covers are too bad. I'm not too bothered about the nails, all long nails scare me in some way, and I think Ayu looks quite sensual and beautiful in the 2CD+DVD cover (and a bit less so in the 2CD one).
So in my opinion, the covers are fine. :)

I like the green eye make up, it's cute and summery, a nice change from what she usually has. Something is wrong with her hand on the +dvd one, it's like her fingers start from her wrists. :S

Still not a huge fan of either cover, they're not great but they could have been so much worse, so I'm thankful for that lol

oh random, I like the contacts so much...but when I photoshop them darker...the picture looks better for some reason. I'm torn between keeping them and getting rid of them in my wallpaper.

The eyes and eye makeup are fine. Her teeth look awful though. They need to lower the brightness a few notches. It makes her teeth look flat and extremely unnatural. I mean, that's pretty bad considering they're veneers and are supposed to look good considering I guess her original teeth weren't the best?

Okay, the 2 CD one looks BETTER now that we can see more details. Still wonky and doesn't quite look like her to me though.

Ayu in the CD +DVD cover reminds me of a nymph - and not the happy fun kind, either. The kind that uses her singing to lure hapless victims to them so she can eat their skin :P

Really, though, I'm mixed about these covers. I LOVE the eye makeup in both (I'm a fan of bright eye shadow) and I really like the blue color of her contacts...I'm just not sure I like them on her. I don't like the claw-nails in either picture.

Overall, my favorite is the CD+DVD cover. I like the colors, and it actually looks like her. Ayu's lips aren't as fish-lip-y as I thought they would be, and I like her pose and expression. The low chroma/dull greens, blues, yellows, and browns in the background really complement her well.

As much as I love the green eye make up in the CD version, it does clash with all of the blues. Had there been one more green element, it might have worked. Also, whether it's because of the contacts or too much photoshopping, but she barely looks like herself. I'm not a fan of retouching, well, ever, and they overdid it here. Plus, the angled of her head and the way her hand is posed over her neck is awkward.

It's so weird about color contacts, and I guess it's just because they're circle lenses and they cover up too much of one's actual eye and change the way light reflects off of it, but whenever Ayu wears them, her smile doesn't seem to reach her eyes.

I tried my best to make the one cover a bit more appealing to my eye (keep in mind I haven't even touched Photoshop in over 2 years, so this is best I know how to do):

I made her eyes grey, toned down the green eyeshadow, lessened the shadow on her nose, fixed the teeth, and made her lips more dark and red and less bright and pink.

When I saw the nails in the CD only cover, I thought she was Koda Kumi. xD

But I don't know exactly how I feel about the covers... I mean, I like them but at the same time I'm not really satisfied with how it turned out. I expected they would be fresh with vibrant colors, you know, like how you supposed to feel in summertime. Maybe Ayu needs more professional team for her photoshop work after all.

And that wallpaper promo shoot thing definitely looked better. xD

EDIT: Just saw the huge covers... she definetly looks better in them than in 500x500 resolution.

Just saw the HQ covers. Hello, gyaru Kuroayu. Please stay forever. My only complaint is those damn scary contacts. She just can't pull them off. Plus, her eyes actually look bigger when they are brown.

2CD still looks bad to me, even in big.
One thing still bugging me with both of them is the bland background.
Also I'm not a fan of that green eye make up.

When I saw the high resolution version of the 2CD+DVD cover my first thought was that she looks like a shemale. I'm only talking of her face though. That's not an insult, it was just my first impression.

The 2CD cover looks way better now. Her face looks more human and she's actually smile. Not a big fan of the make-up, but it's summerish and fresh also her tan looks not that orange anymore.
