Damn it, it sounds really dull! Not powerful or "epic" at all. :( it's too sweet and soft. If anyone wants to speak about "generic" songs, so far, this could end up being the definition. It really doesn't sound like a winter ballad to me in the traditional sense at all.

You can tell a lot by that much. You already know the height at which the song will reach - the climax, which is the grandest part.

For example, I remember when Days preview was released. It was tiny. A damn cell phone clip recorded with a microphone. But, I knew it would forever be a favorite of mine. I knew in that moment, it was everything I needed.

My sister who doesn't even listen to ayu actively like me said that the snippet sounds exactly like something she's done before. She better drag ayu. Remember that game where we guess what songs she'll recycle next? I'm too tired to guess what songs were recycled for this song though.

I really like it! I don't know why people is complaining or saying is a generic ballad, for me it not sound like a generic ballad. It sounds like a Will and I love that song, but I'm always seeing people complaining about all things Ayu does and I can't understand. Yes, there are a lot of opinions, I understand it. However, people acts like Ayu is the devil of music and all she do is trash and in my opinion her music is still good, not like the past but in general comparing to the music industry nowadays, Ayu is really good.

For me it's a 50/50 case about the previews.

Like, when they released the snippets from Colours, i thought Terminal would be one of Ayu's most epic songs ever, and then i listened the whole thing... it took me some months to start to ''like'' it.

But, it was a different case with Ayu's cover of Movin' on without you. I loved the preview and the same thing happened with the full song.

Also, i think i'm the only one who don't see anything on Zutto... that remembers Will :irked

^They don't have much in common except the "zutto, zutto" which echoes the "kira kira..." in WILL.

Her voice sounds really great! Clear and quite high!
Can't say the same for the song yet... the chorus sounds like it could be replaced by any of her uninspired/lazy/you-already-know-how-it-will-sound-and-it-will-bore-you-to-death ballads and you wouldn't notice it.

Omg I love her voice in the preview and it sounds beautiful so far. I'm excited to hear the verses. I do have a fear it might drag on like some of her generic ballads, but keeping hope that it won't, since she usually delivers on the winter ballads. Ughh Wednesday hurry up!

The girlish voice, the generic sound and those drums (yeah, the drums), all of them just gave me some Hello new me vibes.

Reminds me of SCAR but if Ayu recorded it today...with her heavy "kitchen sink" production/instrumentation style.

Zutto's melody seems so sad-but-hopeful though and Hello new me sounds very major key, happy, etc. They both have the cutesy voice but to me that's where the similarity ends. The cutesy voice really doesn't match the sadder-sounding melody, it sounds kinda like ayu is trying to recapture an old school sound but since we KNOW what her voice sounds like now, it isn't really working lol.

That said, hey, relative minor key = my kind of song! XD I like the preview alright, I might hate the full song or I might love it, but this is the kind of moment where I kinda require context. You can't tell if a song has any dynamics from a 15 second piece of the chorus. :P

The clip is too short. I don't like it or hate it. I'm usually more into ayu's verses when it comes to her ballads. Most of the time I find them more compelling than the chorus. November would be the only exception that comes to mind. Although the song doesn't really feel like it has a chorus lol.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this single will be a nice return to form. I know we have just 15s previews for Zutto... and Last minute, but I think these songs will actually be what we've been waiting to hear for a few years now.

I won't listen to Last minute until release. I've broken the bubble by listening to Zutto... which brought me back down to earth with my expectations.

It is true that I don't mind when Ayu recycles material, as long as the recycled material is either just as good or better than the material from the past that she drew from. For example, No way to say, momentum, and Days are all winter ballads yet they all have different atmosphere's and work perfectly for different types of winter scenery. They are all an "ace" in my book, but in my opinion all sound truly original in some way, shape or form.

We will see when the final product is released, but, as it stands right now, the song lacks power, and THAT's what I look for in a grand and true winter ballad.

Actually, the best way for me to describe this is that this sounds less like classic-Ayu, and more like a very basic KANA NISHINO type of track. Less of Ayu and more of Kana's "let me just sing this simple ballad sweetly". There's a fine line there. Ayu's ballads and/or greatest songs, always come with a bit of drama. Kana seriously is void of any sort of dramatics, and therefore, Zutto..., which sounds very straight-forward, comes off as a simple track that would suit Kana much better. Imagine Kana singing this and you'll know what I mean.

Last minute has promise it seems.

The last thing I want is for Ayu to venture into Kana Nishino territory. Ugh. Anything but that. Even Yui would be ok because at least now she's in a rock band and I can at least stand Ayu's voice.

Zutto seriously now reminds me of petal a lot. Her vocals are fine. But i cannot say i trully love the track to bits. It's nice though.

Walk got me with the first 10 seconds. Except the lalalas. But the melody really sounds lovelly. I really love how it builds up. It's quite a good track. I'm digging this! And her vocals sound nice too!

Last Minute just killed me. Best track in the whole single. There's quite a bit of emotion in it it seems, that I never really heard before in her songs. PERIOD. BEST TRACK. WOW.

Zutto... is probably my favorite. It's nothing to be excited about at all, but it's decent enough for a song she's done 3000 times. It starts off totally BALLAD 2 and then goes off in some weird direction because the melody, like most of the melodies on this single, is drunk driving blindfolded.

Last minute is a hot mess. Did they even try to mix the backing vocals in??? It reminds me of count down and that song is a hot mess. I don't think it's horrible, just... not really that worthy of existing. I guess the same goes for Zutto... though.

Walk is so dramatic wow lol. Definitely the worst composition of the single, so this must be the TK song??? I can't even find the melody, I'm done trying.

There's nothing really awful here but honestly everything is SO boring and safe and overall the melodies and compositions are just confused and bland. Like I can't even really tell what emotion she's trying to convey in these songs anymore... lol

I love hearing the breaths in between the words in Last minute. It definitely makes it more emotional.
