I actually like Kuu’s image now. I love how polished and sleek her black and white kind of looks are. There is still colour and fun, it’s just more mature. I would say she was more of a “mess” back in the day. The blatant raunchy look she had rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. I myself love it, but I can see where nay sayers we’re coming from.

And since she doesn’t care about catching people’s attention and becoming popular again, she’s katy styled in a way that reflects who she is now.

I think that society expects people to mature and adapt to getting older. Kuu has done that, while still remaining true to herself. She still portrays a strong, sexy woman, just from a different angle.

Just two dates for both Osaka and Tokyo. Imo that won't be enough and sold out very fast.
But a FC tour is meant to be something special and personal, so that might be on purpose (and it's in live houses as well).

Kuu also says in the video, that they changed the system this time and it's meant to be a tour for people comign with their friends to enjoy.
Means everybody can only apply for 2 tickets and the accompanying person doesn't have to be a FC member.
(which makes it probably even harder to get tickets...)

You have to be a member of the FC till 9th January 2018 though, so I guess lottery starts later in January.
As I said above, tickets are limited to 2 with the accompanying person not needed to be a FC member.

For live house venues , ticket balloting tends to be 2 tickets per person cos the venues are considerably smaller under hall , arena , dome , stadium

I'm surprised the accompanying person no need to be in the fanclub cos that's normally not the case

Live house capacities is normally 1,000 - 2,000+ people

Two dates for Tokyo and Osaka is NOT ENOUGH (lol)! Also Tokyo days will be on the weekend so even harder to get a ticket. I really wanted to try the Tokyo dates...

All dates are on the weekend, except for one, but this one is on a holiday.
For her last FC tour, most dates were on a week day, so that changed ( I guess probably because her fans complained).
And she had at least 3 dates for Osaka and Tokyo there.

Price is not out yet, but for Let's Party ~Vol.2~ they were 6,800 Yen for each ticket.

Ah, man, I know they always go for exclusiveness for FC tours.
Her first FC tour in 2008 only had 12 dates in live houses (the 2nd 19, but most of them on week days as I mentioned).
But girl, you just sold out 18 dates for both your last hall tours 2016 and 2017 with your FC only.

i agree. been having a hard time enjoying her stuff for a while now. there's a track here or there that is good, but overall i'm not interested in her current sound. her image for the last few albums has been great though! she looks gorgeous and has some really fun and awesome looks. the photographer style as of late has been really modern and complementary too.

You stated “you have to be a member of the fan club ‘till’ January 9th” which insinuates you must remain a fan club member until that date to be eligible for application (i.e. your current period of membership must extend until that date). “You have until January 9th to become a member / join the fan club” or “you must join ‘by’ January 9th” would have made it less ambiguous.

Maybe I'm the minority but I enjoy her recent music much more than her earlier work. W FACE -outside- is my favorite album by Kuu.

Kuu's work has been hit or miss for me for ages now. I've always found her albums to have way too many songs - 15 when 12 or even 10 would've done the job. The whole "W FACE" concept, for example, was interesting, but 20 songs? Too much. Especially since I found "~inside~" to be absolute rubbish/bland aside from like two songs. Still, she does release some good bops. It just sometimes feels like you have to sift through a bunch of filler to find the good ones.

That's just how I feel, though. I'm sure others like the songs I don't, so to each his own.

Did anyone else click on the link to the jacket Kuu is wearing? I love Kumatan, their designs are always fashionably quirky. That jacket is no exception. The quote on it was screen cap worthy lmfao.

I got into Kuu because I found her one of the most urban popular acts in Japan. I love basically everything that she does, but those songs are usually my favourite.

But, I find that most non-Japanese J-Pop fans are usually not a fan of her more urban sound. I find that non-Japanese interested in Japanese culture tend to favour rock or pure pop. Maybe a little R&B flair.

However, I myself listen to a lot of rap and other genres that are associated, so I really appreciate Kuu’s sound.

Kuu is special to me because before I decided to listen to JPop male solo acts , JRock groups & finally Johnnys , she was 1 of the 1st few JPop female solo acts I started listening to when I began listening to Japanese music

Fast forward more than 10 years later , I still listen & support her while I stopped doing so for other artistes . I don't like everything Kuu put out & I'm weird in the sense that what I personally like , most of the time others don't

I dislike KINGDOM but I like TRICK . I found UNIVERSE to be really terrible (the marketing tie in with a best album didn't helped matters either) & Dejavu was OK . On the other hand , I adore JAPONESQUE to bits and I really like Bon Voyage

A lot really do not like WALK OF MY LIFE but I loved it on 1st listen & the same thing applies to both W FACE albums too

Out of a lot of JPop female solo acts , I think Kuu is 1 of the few that's still doing what she does best which's giving it all to her fans and here's to her impending 20th anniversary

Damn, Let's party vol.3 tour sure is short. Altho I can't remember if previous 2 were any longer. I mean, I get that it's done for the fans and etc. but isn't touring her bread and butter nowadays? She clearly won't make much money with this tour. I wonder if a mini-arena tour is planned for the end of the year. However, the woman needs rest. I mean, holly shitte, she did 2 long ass tours in a row.

No thnx, I liked like 2 or 3 tracks from Namie's past 3 albums and I can't stand that Eurodance stuff or whatever it's called. Kumi was always urban, give affection - her debut album a listen and you will see what I mean. I couldn't be happier that she's gone back her urban style days. I'd love her to do a jazz or enka album, she'd be so perfect for either one with her voice.

So excited about the new albums! HUSH is probably saved for the second album, I guess it's going to be a 10 x 10 tracks just like Inside & Outside. Kinda weird that the W FACE Tour is there as a 2nd/3rd DVD, and it's probably the same thing as the DVD that is out already.

The 2nd and 3rd DVDs are selected performances from her tour this year. In 'big volume' like they say, so probably a lot of single performances from different dates.
Don't forget we had partly different songs for the 60 dates.

@Corvina: I forgot about those songs that she sang. It's pretty nice we're getting some footage out of them. Maybe the MC as well.

Damn it, HUSH is the only new track I like. And not just “like” I actually LOVE it. If she won’t perform it at the fanclub tour I have my apprehensions about joining the fan club just so I can go. I didn’t make an effort to snag tickets for the most recent tour cause the setlist was terrible for me.

This is one reason I’m so critical when artists continue to release tracks I find mediocre at best (and usually if it’s mediocre I hate it). It goes from me enjoying 70% if their discog or above to me enjoying 40% or less real quick, which decreases the chances I will hear something I love when I see them live. And if I don’t love the songs, I won’t like the show. The music always takes priority for me. I don't think avex will include the same W FACE tour footages in the fanclub version of Kuu's new album , it doesn't make sense to me

Since Kuu did 60 tour dates during the W FACE tour , at most avex will include MCs or certain onstage footages that was not included in the W FACE DVD/Blu-ray

Also I feel 10,000 Yen for the fanclub version is a bargain but I can imagine how expensive the overseas shipping cost will be given the packaging

I don't get the point of releasing 2 unreleased songs on the music card, why not put them on the album.

The second DVD of Second Session is the First Things Tour. I know the album was released before the separated DVD, but still.

I guess those two "unreleased songs" are the ones for the second album? This is a weird thing for sure, have two more songs out of a different media.
