Maybe it's the music box remix from CD Only Version?

here's the Youtube video of MSSL just now
not so HQ though..

thanx a lot ^ ^

Corvina 25th December 2009 02:55 PM

Hm, You were... was ok, Rule was better.
But I've watched Ayaka before, I shouldn't have done that. Ayu's bad compared to Ayaka. ._.
And her vocal technique is damn weird, it doesn't flow well like Ayakas for example, I just recognize that. o.O

freedreamer 25th December 2009 03:01 PM

Wow! (Pardon me, im watching as I type so it goes like this) I LOVE her vocals till the chorus..everything sounds good. First chorus was really good too..she could have almost reached the "saiGO" part but nonetheless, it was good.
Overall, this was LIVE right? I think she did REALLY WELL! the last "iii" was kinda sharp but very very nice. I actually have a more love for the song now..the emotions really came through.

Rule was freakin cool. Love the stage. That latex suit totalyl fits her omg. I LOVE her "YEAAAAAAAAAA" parts..i dunno. It makes me thrilled hahaha..Rule is such a bouncy song..I like the bob to the drums whenever I hear it.

AyUmIXx 25th December 2009 03:02 PM

yeah Ayu is not a really great singer like Ayaka..i think Ayaka was trained since her childhood right?
where Ayu was not trained since she was a kid..so i think we can't expect that Ayu could sound like Ayaka, or having great technique.. for me, Ayu has been great enough to be able to sing with such vocal if compared to her early days..

Aderianu 25th December 2009 03:02 PM

that was great performance
I like it!

omfg best performance of Rule! well... at least the apacella lol

AyuGAME 25th December 2009 03:04 PM

SHE DID AN AWESOME JOB!!!
WOW!!!
she sings very well, i don't like her hair, but the rest is so WOW!!!
really perfect for closing the show...

Corvina 25th December 2009 03:05 PM

I agree, Rule is great this time! :yes
You were... isn't just my kind of song I guess.

maikaru 25th December 2009 03:05 PM

The vocals were much better!!! I really love this performance!!! Much better than Best Artist! It feels like she is following her own advice!!! Rule was amazing, so much energy, and last chorus, I wanted to get up and dance with them!!!!! Rule Accapella was so good too!!! You were is getting better, but she is still using her vibrato too much I think... But anyways!!! I am really looking forward to Countdown!!!

Also, I really love the Rule costume better than AT costume and PV costume! Also wanna say, she looks like the old Ayu in this video... everyone saying recently how she looked different, but this time, she looks like Ayu in the past!

AyUmIXx 25th December 2009 03:06 PM

yea..her Rule is amazingg..
love it a lottt!
she's full of power..cool!
can't wait for more HQ video!

ayumisrael 25th December 2009 03:13 PM

That Rule must be one of ayu's best performances as of late vocally.

I mean she moved a lot and she danced the last chorus and she didn't sound out of breath AT ALL. *_*

kudos to ayu for that! I'm proud.

Just do that on kohaku again.

I agree that Rule was better than You were... vocally, it seems that in You were... even though she sang decently she stopped herself at a certain part doing vibratos but it's good she prevented herself to make harsh mistakes.

ayumisrael 25th December 2009 03:33 PM

^Thank you Negi!

Did she say something on the beginning that she will have her longest tour next year? Or many kinds of lives that she ever had in a year or something? *_*

sanzo2011 25th December 2009 03:35 PM

I really enjoy both performances ! her outfits were good but her hair's @@!

yea.. i thought so... but.. the man on the mu-mo commercial [the same person with the single commercial in ayu's official site] said something about you were... acapella...

hemm.... it makes me wonder......
btw... the acapella version is very nice in that commercial... i wish that she will release that version someday.... ^^

se7entheaven 25th December 2009 04:00 PM

The vocal was great. superb!!! But do u guys notice when ayu sarted singing Rule the audience was like so quiet? Like they didn't like it or something :p

That's exactly what she says.
Next year, it will have more lives than any year since her debut.
She wants to meet many of her fans and audience,
So it looks like she will be going on a long tour...

Which is exactly opposite of what many people are asking here in this forum... ww

I am waiting for what kind of tour it will be... Arena or Stadium? Or Dome?

noidea 25th December 2009 04:38 PM

vocals were okay-good, WOW at the effects in Rule! her most epic tv-performance visual-wise EVER

EDIT:
^ a dome tour would be short, she probably means another asia tour

Yeah, I'm just wondering - I think she has got to be prepared for that if she ever does that kind of a tour...

ayumisrael 25th December 2009 05:09 PM

I hope that the new album that will accompany the tour will be as long. XD

zyoeru 25th December 2009 05:20 PM

I'd personally like a Stadium Tour..less focus on theatrics, then she could work on her voice from there. :P

At09 already had basically NO focus on theatrics, and I doubt they are the reason for the worsening of her voice...
She should do an epic tour again IMO, visually AND vocally, it was possible in 2005, 2006 and 2008, so why not now?

As for the performances, she is getting better with every next You were... perf. I loved the vocals here.

aura~ 25th December 2009 06:38 PM

WOOOW!! this has ben fuc**** amazing!!!! You were.. vocals have been GREAT, only the ending "iii" was sharp, but anyway, amazing, the emotion, her voice!! And Rule!! She was awesome and gorgeous!! visually it was the BEST Rule performance on TV, it would have been even better if they'd have done the usual Rule coreography!! If Kouhaku performance is like this (with Rule) and with the coreography = AWESOME!! I hope we will get it in HD soon!!

The .ts of the full show is up on jpopsuki already(meaning all .ts of 2008 and 2009 are commonly available on the internet!)

^thanks for saying it ^^ (going to download NOW!!)

JCD13 25th December 2009 07:03 PM

The transition from You were into Rule was a win. Best performance so far.

My only critique is that her hair is so bleh. Those bangs are dated, dying them a different color won't fix it. Side bangs please? Or at least something else. I'm tired of the next level bangs.

Mai82Go 25th December 2009 07:37 PM

I'm different, I really love the hair. And the MSSL performance of You were... was great, her best You were... performance so far. Rule was o.k. though I liked the live on MS earlier this year better. But the acappella part was great. I actually doubt that Ayu is going on a dome or Stadium Tour if she has more performances than ever before. The smaller the venue - the more performances, so this just seems like another Arena Tour, probably Asia too.

roanmy 25th December 2009 07:52 PM

Those lives were actually decent!

But the longest tour...? The last two years it really seems like she's trying to kill her voice =S

noisy_harmony 25th December 2009 08:21 PM

I can't watch today performances T^T I hope I'll watch soon.
Very long tour? Interesting... I hope that she's prepared (vocally) for it, hope that's not only her wish to satisfying fans...

AyUta 25th December 2009 08:23 PM

Wow, her vocals were much better in You Were... this time around. Rule was alright :). Ayu did a good job.

aura~ 25th December 2009 08:25 PM

Oh yeah.. longest tour ever... OMG,t his year was her longest tour in japan!! She wants to have the record of longest tour ever in Japan?? Maybe she's also going again to Asia...

Ayu if you want to meet ALL your fans, come here please XDD

love in music 25th December 2009 08:27 PM

nanakopy87 26th December 2009 12:26 AM

the drummer isn't erorin anymore.who is the guy she's using right now?and shu-ya's hair is back to normal already o.O
i like his hair in BALLAD PV

Batera 26th December 2009 01:02 AM

^ Yeah, I noticed that too.
Where's Eguchi Nobuo on the drums, by the way?

zyoeru 26th December 2009 01:16 AM

I'm guessing Shu-ya's hair in BALLAD was a wig. :)

AyuWorld 26th December 2009 02:05 AM

Great, great and great performance Ayu! i'm glad you keeps your words :thumbsup

You were..is beautiful when she's not yelling and didn't use much the vibrato. Ayu looks calm and focus on singing, put all her emotion into the song :luv2

Rule is awesome! i love the accapella and when she stop for about 2 second.wow! i like the outfit rather than at the AT09. the red and black combination, Ayu want to have a christmast spririt :P yeah this Rule performance is more energetic!

i think for Best Artist she's just tired :(

yeah there's still no Eguchi and i notice they're wearing the same outfit like at the PCDL since the Best Artist performance ;)

Lumiarey17 26th December 2009 02:22 AM

can anyone tell me the difference between a stadium and an arena tour O.o thanks

GRACE 26th December 2009 02:30 AM

I'm sorta sad that I'm so happy her vocals were tolerable... Like, is that what it's gotten to now?

Yay about tour. Tour=Album. I'm predicting it to follow NEXT LEVEL's footsteps and come out in late March. they have till early feb to announce it

dreamland2.0 26th December 2009 02:42 AM

Great MSSL performance!! I nearly fell off my chair when they did that big explosion!!!! Her vocals sounded lovely as well!! This rule performance is really making me look forward to Kouhaku!

PoetGirl 26th December 2009 03:10 AM

it was alright. i thought transition you were-rule will be out of place, but
it was amazin' actually. acapella was great.

freedreamer 26th December 2009 04:02 AM

I bet Rule on Kouhaku will step it up again...I mean, Kouhaku has even more special performances. Cant wait!
Longest Tour?! wow...Why next year? hahaha...
I think she'll have a long tour next year in Japan and probably MOre overseas trips?
this year's tour was already considered LONG imo..june-oct had nothing going on.
(will the Marina Bay IR hold her? HAHAHHA)

MissElin_ 26th December 2009 04:12 AM

WOw she did really well with both songs. But naturally, Rule kicked ass. That was really good! Am I also the only one who liked her black dress? I thought it was pretty. And this Rule outfit was better then the AT09 one. Cant wait for CDL!

jbrat2219 26th December 2009 05:14 AM

She sounded pretty good! She was a little off on that last note of You were... but otherwise, very good :D

Sounds interesting, I can't wait for more details about it.

Ayumiko 26th December 2009 07:23 AM

She sounds good both performances...it looks like she really concentrated first half of you were... and it sounded good. Rule intro was cool with the dancers coming in matching the beats. The outfits...don't like the top half of both outfits...lol. The maid part and the red part...do not like.

Next year will have lots of concerts? I hope she won't over do it. We should be getting a new album soon then.

AyuWorld 26th December 2009 07:28 AM

i hope that she'll do like this for Kouhaku or..maybe better..XDD

and yayy! for the next year tour,Ayu please drop by here ^ ^ another Stadium Tour would be epic too imo,

SunshineSlayer 26th December 2009 08:03 AM

Stadium tours would have to be done in the summer and A-Nation is already in the summer. Although personally I would prefer a stadium over an arena. It's also not possible to do a long stadium tour though. So if she is saying this will be her longest tour, anything bigger than arenas are out.

waterballoon 26th December 2009 08:09 AM

Maybe she'll do a TA Live ala concert, stripped down in the Budokan? Lol... I'm praying for that!

or she could do a multivenue concert instead of just doing one, it's possible

asmAyumi1992 26th December 2009 09:36 AM

Both performances are very amazing! This is the first time I watched Ayu live! She's not disappointing me at all! I love the black dress and also the Rule outfit! The fireworks also is amazing!!!

I hope Ayu make an Asia Tour again and dropped by here like AyuWorld said! I'm badly want her to come here and do perform here. I'll buy the ticket for what ever price it is. And I hope it held in April.

Corvina 26th December 2009 10:07 AM

The longest tour ever?
I'm not that hyped about it. AT09 was a total mess vocally, I doubt that it will be good for her voice if she forces it next year.
But I have hopes that she will begin to work with her voice again with a vocal trainer, please Ayu! Than the tour next year can be nice.

love in music 26th December 2009 05:32 PM

Luja. 26th December 2009 05:44 PM

Just watched the MSSL performance - I think it was amazing! I loved her voice in You were... and even more in Rule.
Overall I really enjoyed watching it!
Plus I think the new hairstyle fits Rule very much..

jbrat2219 26th December 2009 10:42 PM

AT09 had 36 dates right? I hope if she does do more dates, she at least goes outside of Asia.

AyUta 27th December 2009 01:18 AM

She better take good care of herself.

Jwiz 27th December 2009 04:37 AM

When will she realise that having long(est) tour ain't gonna help her career; it's way to reach out for her fans but the consquences like fatigue and deteriotation of voice call for much greater concern in the long run.

More tv performances would be pausible, but I do hope she would focus more on her vocals (because it's fans do not wish to see her suffer and struggle on live performances), take a break, do a reality check on her current career and develop more creativity juice for her future career :)

se7entheaven 27th December 2009 05:15 AM

maybe she wanna ruin her vocal (test her limit) and damage her other ear. sorry ayu...but it's not gonna help. except it's a world tour, maybe will do

Well, its not like he is wrong exactly. No matter how you look at it, continuing to tour so much isn't actually going to help your voice or hearing.

But I doubt her intentions are to lose the hearing she has left. She most likely just wants to perform, make $$$, and see her fans. Money being a big one.

Andrenekoi 27th December 2009 06:39 AM

There are singers who performs a lot more than Ayumi (here in Brazil is normal for popular acts to have concerts 5 days a week the whole year on different cities) for longer than Ayu is on business and they are fine...

IMO the problem with her voice is not the amount of live performances, is the bad use of it... if Ayu sings on the right way when touring, something she knows how to do, but never really minded, there will be no problem with 2 concerts a week for some months...

SunshineSlayer 27th December 2009 06:43 AM

^ Yeah, that I agree with. When you look at Hello Project as just one example, they perform nearly year round often times 2 shows a day, sometimes three; so by comparison Ayu's live schedule is really tame. I was referring more to her hearing though - when you've got only one ear left, its really not a good idea to continually pound it with a live band.

Well, the ear monitors probably control the intensity, so she wont have problems with any sounds from the live band...

They thing is, even if there are performers who go everynight singing, if one day they use it wrong, and start to damage their voice, and dont rest for a while, it will continue getting worse...

Andrenekoi 27th December 2009 07:01 AM

^Well, I'm pretty sure there are ways to prevent the sound band from killing her good ear^^

SunshineSlayer 27th December 2009 07:31 AM

Just saw the MS Super Live finally. I had been under the impression from the posts here that she was the last performer, but actually she wasn't. It was Kuwata Keisuke. Ayu's a really big fan of his though, so I doubt she minded much.

It seems she did concentrate more on her vocals this time compared to Best Artist. You We're though I thought was definitely better at CDTV and Rule was fun. Probably one of her better TV performances in the last 2 years. For the outfits: Her first dress makes her look like an extravagant pilgram. :) I like the Rule one a lot more than her others costumes for that song.

Actually I have read that in ear monitors can cause as much, if not more ear damage than usual due to the fact that they are right inside the ear and therefore closer to the ear drum. I'm sure it varies on an individual basis though. Also, by default the sound should be pretty loud in them otherwise in a live environment they aren't going to be able to hear themselves or the band. Add to that rehearsals and everything - its really not a safe environment for ones hearing no matter what. If it was, you wouldn't see so many singers and band members winding up with hearing damage.

I really hope Ayu begins to work hard with her voice again with a vocal trainer. Like I said with the MSSL performance, I watched Ayaka before and gosh, the difference between the vocal techniques is heavy, even I could recognize that and I don't know that much from singing.
I don't want Ayu to destroy her voice even further. :( So having the "longest tour ever" isn't good news for me. Ayu loves singing and being on stage, so she should take care of her voice, cause it's her voice that she needs to keep living her dream.

Diego-kun 27th December 2009 12:36 PM

Don't know if it has been mentioned before but Ayu will open Kohaku Uta Gassen again this year! What do you think about this? I don't like it because the first performance is always the one with a lower rating :(

ayumisrael 27th December 2009 12:40 PM

Well she has no other option, she has to arrive at the Arena for her own full live!

But EXILE will perform right after her so there might be high rating this time, unless if people will mistakenly miss EXILE and think they will be in the middle for some reason. xD

That's right, ear monitors only help if they keep all the noise from the outside away AND are more or less quiet.

So it seems. I feel a little more confident that she'll have a good live this year. Every time she sings Rule it sounds better and better! And if the theatrics are anything like a-nation, it'll be one hell of a show! :D

Actually the opener of Kohaku is usually the least watched performance. I imagine the main reason she is doing it is because it probably makes the CDL after less stressful. Kohaku is super long, so a lot of people don't watch the whole thing - just like most shows, having a spot towards the end is more coveted especially since Kohaku ends just before midnight on New Years Eve - when the most people are tuned in to their tvs.

Maybe she'll do another TA tour. Smaller venues would be nice.

AyuWorld 31st December 2009 05:15 AM

what about kouhaku? and ayu will sing live for CDTV special? i'm confuse about CDL is it 3 hours?? XD

SunshineSlayer 31st December 2009 05:20 AM

^No, remember for CDTV they prerecorded her performance a few weeks ago. The show is aired live, but when it comes to Ayu's performance, that part will be the video that they taped.

Kohaku is before the CDTV special. CDTV special starts a few minutes after Kohaku ends.

The CDL is a normal time length this year, not 3 hours.

AyuWorld 31st December 2009 05:28 AM

oh, so Kouhaku is around 9 pm i guess?

asmAyumi1992 31st December 2009 05:39 AM

^Really? I thought I want to watch it live. But it's still okay.

Thanks Zemus and Walking Proud. I can't wait to watch it at 10.00pm at my place!

Too bad I don't watch CDL yesterday. But today, I'll watch it no matter what!

nanakopy87 31st December 2009 05:42 AM
