I really like the picture; I think she looks cute and I like her lips here, they're completely different from the fish lips so I don't know why people are calling them that.

I can't see much of her face because there's way too much light, as always. Simply overexposed. Do you remember musicvideos like "appears"? You could see Ayus skin there xD All those photoshots make her head look like a light bulb. She must have really bad skin, that they use that much light. Or it is just the sick idea of beauty, that people who "read" such magazines have into their mind? Looks fake, unnatural and like a computer-generated Dead or Alive doll.

Are you kidding? The lighting is perfect, there isn't too much at all.. and she looks like an actual person here, not a doll. I was actually pleased the most because the photoshop/lighting isn't over the top like it is in Shimoko shoots.

I wonder why people don't seem to realise that Ayu has been doing weird things with her lips her ENTIRE career...?

She also has done the whole 'bug eyed' thing forever. In fact, I'd say that some of her shoots from years ago were more fish-lippy (whatever that actually means ^^;;). This is a pout, pretty much every girl I see in Japanese magazines is making this expression.
