I agree! It's been a long time since they wrote songs especially CREA.

truehappiness 9th August 2010 06:49 AM

Well, one out of those three is already confirmed to be coming back for something (It can't be for album stuff, right?) so...

COME ON CREA+DAI.

rusuke 9th August 2010 06:59 AM

^Oh right! I forgot about Kikuchi's coming back!:) Thanks for reminding me again!

primavera♥ 9th August 2010 07:04 AM

I just don't see why she would compose anything unless she seriously thought she could write better or it was important to compose something.
Either way ayu can compose something great but its the arrangers that will make or break it
Ayu might though. Just for the hell of it. Its the 50th so yeah. CREA+DAI? How probable is that?

At least kikuchi is composing. Hopefully that's a good thing. (I really hope) :yes
Can't wait to see who else

love in music 9th August 2010 07:25 AM

CREA+DAI would be amazing. Sometimes CREA doesn't do good on her own, everything with DAI is fantastic though.

Kanzaki 9th August 2010 07:37 AM

Well if CREA's ever going to make a comeback, L would be the perfect opportunity. I mean, her 50th single by CREA. I'd make an exception to the rule I made in order to protect my economy, and buy the single.

What??? When?
IMO everything CREA has done has been some of ayu's best songs in her discography.

Not going to say which ones because I will offend a ton of people. Just 2 or 3 of them that were only by her weren't too good in my opinion.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 9th August 2010 07:48 AM

^^Who cares if you offend people?
Lol as long as you're respectful, it's your opinion. I'm curious to know which songs since the ones she did are so amazing to me.

Kanzaki 9th August 2010 07:51 AM

Seen from a songwriter/arrangers POV I guess most songs from I am... are crap. They aren't constructed as songs usually are. But I loved them because they were so different, so unpredictable. They never went like: verse, another verse, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus, chorus, done.

Okay.. I don't think Humming 7/4, winding road, and flower garden are that great. I'm not saying they're awful or the worst songs ever but I think they show that CREA isn't always amazing.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 9th August 2010 08:03 AM

^^ Well those would be my least-favorite CREA songs as well :)

kagami 9th August 2010 08:32 AM

I've always adored Humming 7/4 :innocent. It's one of her only songs that makes me want to headbang and jump around crazily lol.

U-GO-BOY 9th August 2010 10:51 AM

I like winding road but I agree with flower garden :)

Pop star Ayumi Hamasaki (31) recently announced that she will release her 49th and 50th singles on consecutive weeks next month. On Sunday, it was learned that the first of those two songs, titled "crossroad," will be a collaboration with producer Tetsuya Komuro (51).

Hamasaki approached Komuro with the idea back in April. Komuro agreed, and he composed and arranged "crossroad," while Hamasaki handled the lyrics. The result, a medium-tempo ballad, is the first Komuro-produced song sung by Hamasaki on her own. (She sang "a song is born" as a duet with KEIKO of globe, and she is part of the 11 artists singing the a-nation theme song that was announced last week.)

"crossroad" was recorded in early July. After hearing Hamasaki's voice on the finished recording, Komuro was inspired to adjust his original plans for the guitar and strings accompaniment. He recruited the help of American musician Randy Waldman, who did much of the strings and orchestra arrangements for Komuro during the 1990s.

The coupling song for "crossroad" (currently untitled) was also provided by Komuro. The single will go on sale September 22, though Hamasaki may perform "crossroad" in concert as early as August 14 at the Nagoya a-nation event.

Hamasaki's 50th single, "L)," will follow "crossroad" on September 29. The milestone release is said to include three new songs, though the composers have not yet been revealed. If both "crossroad" and "L" take #1 on the sales charts, Hamasaki will achieve her 25th consecutive number-one single, breaking Seiko Matsuda's record streak of 24 that was set 22 years ago.

freedreamer 9th August 2010 11:13 AM

I see that he+Kumuro have done a lot of Namie's songs in the past. but then again, that sound was 10 years ago so...i wonder if this collaboration is a first since then
