I'm looking forward to this best album... Maybe if she was a bit more constant with her releases she'd have a bit more success but oh well. Maybe she'll sign on to another major company; I think that'd be best.

It's no coincidence that both Anna Tsuchiya and Olivia were signed on to Avex. Probably has something to do with contracts with the companies I'd imagine, so I'd think it's improbable for them to sign on a singer with no record deal or an indies artist to do the music. Just doesn't seem likely.

The mangaka is quoted as saying "It can only be her!" about Olivia playing Reira. She also had a lot of sway in the anime, making them redo episode 1 during episode 6 because she felt it was deviating from the source material. I think if she wanted Olivia, they'd get Olivia.

Plus, she's still WITH avex, her MANAGEMENT dropped her, not the label

Well I got from the interview documentary was that avex forced A BEST on her to compete with Utada (I guess to show that she could beat anyone, but Hikki ended up beat her in the end. It was close tho), and she was pissed that they forced her best album so soon in her career. So afterwards she was gonna quit avex and move to a new label because of how little control she had over her own career, but then they caved and gave her more control.

But anyways; Yeah its not looking good for OLIVIA. Vision factory dropping her says a lot. They don't think she's profitable so they got rid of her. I think if this best sells good then avex will probably keep her. But if it tanks then she's as good as gone.

i think she will get dropped when it doesn't sell well but i hope she can at least sell 20,000 copies

The most she's ever sold was one of her NANA singles and that sold 50K and of course even a lot of popular singers are selling around that much now, but 5 years ago 50K was barely anything. And her last mini album charted at what, #78? It'll be AWESOME if this Best does well but...

I want to be positive but you know, being realistic is more beneficial. No set up for disappointment.
