Can someone help me with my request in all DVD lives thread? I'm posting it here because usually requests are omitted/not noticed in Download/Requests thread.

Lollipop Demo

Where did this come from? How is this a demo? different lyrics and not even kumi singing. Who is singing it btw?

U-GO-BOY 18th August 2010 05:01 PM

it's from the producers' website I think :) They made the song, wrote English lyrics for it, let some woman sing it and then they send it to musicians, I think^^

I got a reply from grieg!

thanks michael, ah that explains it, and is interesting to know that she is big in other places too!

yes the kumi version is very close to the original, infact the track is the same as both produced by Ian, but kumi did a great job on the japanese version (do you understand japanese lyrics??)

We didn't get to meet Kumi unfortunately, on this occasion the music was made in England and vocals recorded in Japan, hopefully we will one day

We have given all kinds of music for the album, mainly in the edgy modern styles of today, but of course we don't know what they will select from us as yet (if anything), just hoping they do!

Don't know when decisions are made, but i'm pretty sure it will be a great album

all the best
greig

ahhh, edgy, modern tracks! :heart :love

It's very cool you got a reply from them! :D
"edgy" and "modern" sounds very good to me, hope they will choose their music!:P

emi♡ 18th August 2010 09:20 PM

I'm so excited for the album now! That's awesome you can get in contact with them.

AyusakiFan 18th August 2010 09:26 PM

That makes me very excited for this upcoming album too! I'm curious to see what kinds of edgy modern songs will be on it!

jbrat2219 18th August 2010 09:29 PM

Sounds good to me! I hope her next album is better than her last two! :D

Kingdom 18th August 2010 09:29 PM

I will keep you guys updated on any replies he sends me, he is pretty quick about emailing me back!

@jbrat: it's going to be hard to top Universe and TRICK, for me! I think she can do it, though. (Lollipop, Suki de, Anata dake ga... possibly Hey Baby!... so far, so good.)

noisy_harmony 18th August 2010 09:43 PM

I hope modern = not electro again.

do it again 18th August 2010 10:17 PM

I don't think there's a particular "sound" that I'm looking for in the next album... I think she's capable of putting out good songs from every genre, but she sometimes chooses songs completely unsuited for her voice (Inside Fishbowl, It's all Love!) or songs that are cheesy and embarrassing (Lick me, SUPERSTAR) or things that sound like what she did before (Step Into My World)

However, these upcoming ballads both sound great and I'm actually very excited!

Nackar_91 18th August 2010 10:23 PM

Sounds great! I'm hoping for a mixture of Kingdom and TRICK. (Kingdom had awesome ballads like Aishou, Himitsu and Amai Wana, plus it had the awesome Last Angel and BUT and FREAKY. Then TRICK had TABOO, Driving and This is not a love song. Oh, and showgirl! I just found the ballads to be on the dull side)

UNIVERSE is not a favourite of mine ... it has some great tracks (Work it Out, No Way, Physical Thing, ecstacy and UNIVERSE) but on the whole it felt disjointed and I can't seem to enjoy it as much as the other two...

Universe and TRICK are definitely my least favorite two albums of hers post-secret. I just feel like she has such great singles throughout the year and then when the album comes around the album tracks are horrible to me D: So I'm just hoping that that doesn't happen this time around because I really miss the days when I throughly enjoyed Kumi's music. :yes

My thoughts exactly! Kingdom is probably one of my most favorite albums in general. It's just so... perfect to me.

U-GO-BOY 18th August 2010 10:56 PM

^ yea Kingdom has this.. flow throughout the whole album.. I don't know how to describe it xD
