I love the song preview but I find it so ridiculous that they use such serious phrases and such a powerful song to sell...milk cocoa. I laughed so hard.

YAY SHE'S COMING BACK! :)

sesshy 2nd December 2011 04:26 AM

New album? Oh hell yes! <333

No, label is A stAtion; Avex is the distributor of the CDs (much like Sayuri Sugawara belonging to FLME, distributed by Sony, and Yanawaraba, who much like Ayaka, use a private label (Papaya Records) with Avex distributing the CDs).

(post irreleveant as of now because it appears that Koda Kumi, originally planned to release "JAPONESQUE" on February 1st, is now being moved up (now OFFICIALLY) by a week to January 25th, which now alleviates concerns...)

Spoiler:

I'm not sure if we should be concerned at this, but Koda Kumi's also releasing a new album on February 1st:

if that is true I wouldn't be surprised if she was inspired by christina aguilera and her "burlesque" <3

:no

Oh dear...what should we do? I'm not really a fan of Kuu...

KarenPang 6th December 2011 11:44 PM

uh so ? :o

it's not as though this's going to be the 1st ayaka's release that will not be getting #1

Sing to the Sky didn't :innocent

AyumiAi 7th December 2011 12:08 AM

isnt this going to be a more indie release? so it wouldnt even normally be number 1?

owlflight 7th December 2011 01:20 AM

I just know that I'm getting a copy and that I'm so happy ayaka is singing again.

Bigtop 7th December 2011 03:36 AM

UPDATE: Hearing that Kuu's album will be releasing one week earlier than their first planned date of February 1st (instead January 25th), mainly because they were not aware at first that Ayaka was releasing this album on that day...

(by the way, I pre-ordered mine (limited edition, obviously) through HMV last Sunday - first time I've ever ordered a CD out of Japan!)

EDIT: The change has been OFFICIALY CONFIRMED.

JAPONESQUE release date officially changed to 01.25.2012!
It's up at her official site.
Also No Man's Land is the official song title, it does have the apostrophe now.

the preview sounds beautiful. she never fail to impress me.

ストロボ・EdGE 7th December 2011 05:09 PM

I doubt the dates were changed just because both artists were to release on the same day. In this case, at least.

Koda Kumi's releases have never been much for moving dates around for chart placements a la Ayu and other Avex artists (I remember BoA's Love Letter was moved because Ayu was releasing t2m the same day), and ayaka could care less, all the more now being an indie artist.

sesshy 7th December 2011 08:42 PM

when it comes to hitting number 1, usually I see idols/divas/such moving their dates rather than rock bands or artists like ayaka. Or between avex or Johnny's (I was surprised to see KAT-TUN and TVXQ facing off, but TVXQ lost). But oh well, doesn't matter who makes the most sales to me. Just looking forward to her album and see what she has in store for us. :heart

HTMSD 12th December 2011 06:53 PM

13 tracks without interludes and only 2 videos?

Utena 12th December 2011 07:07 PM

^ not that much, considering there's a 40p photobook, it's the regular price I would say
