okayy i've watched the first part of CDL!!
well, I was so impressed!!! even though ayu's vocal was so strained T__T
but some of the parts she sang pretty good..
my fave parts, absolutely MARIONETTE!! wowowww awesomeee...then free & easy.. endless sorrow, so beautiful!! Ayu looked like a butterfly queen or something, coz the butterfly-shaped chair is so PRETTY!!
and i totally love the medley of DEAREST - HEAVEN - CAROLS - Together When...
so heart breakingg!!
and of course Dream ON!! it's SUPERB!!
love the stage design so much..love they playing with the moving hydrolic stages..the LCDs screens..awesome!!

AMAZING. That ending was awesome! I want more medleys from Ayu.

Also... Chisa's departure appears to be because of a knee injury that turned into something dangerous that needed surgery, so she has retired from dancing after 17 years of dancing. I think you'd have a point if Ayu was some talentless hack but she can sing well. That's not a assumption. She's had some vocally great performances and that's where the critiques come from. Because people know she can do better.

In regards to the first part of your post, you're right that any fan should already know that she isn't regarded as one of the best singers and her vocals are usually pretty flawed. I doubt anyone expects alan or Kalafina type vocals out of her but they do expect Ayu to be consistent with her own vocals and there's nothing wrong with pointing that out.

I might wait for the DVD for the HD rip because I tend to enjoy her concerts more.
