No, when you are being sarcastic, you at times are being ironic, but when you are being ironic, you are not necessarily being sarcastic. Also, irony isn't always used in sneering fashion, whereas sarcasm is. When you said you were being ironic with that statement, it could be taken (which is how I read it) that you think that the picture that we all think is ugly is actually a work of art to you. That is ironic, but not sarcastic. I'm not trying to be rude, or give you English lessons, I'm just explaining why I responded the way I did.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's frustrated by how often people confuse irony with something else. I see it more confused with coincidence more than anything else though.

It's fugly. It looks like her mouth became a vaccuum suction and she can choke on her hair any second. Gaga is really dissapointing me lately. I don't even like BTW...I like her old songs better
